We all age. But plastic surgery absolutely ruins a person's looks. Hollywood needs to learn that.

I have heard male after male say, we do it to keep our career going or we won’t have a career, it’s the people behind the scenes that push the men to get it! The writers, producers and, even the screenwriters guild and the screen actors guild push it!

We all age. I can't help but wonder if unflattering photos of celebrities are taken on purpose to sell magazines. Meg and the other celebs look fine to me. She is far more than just a pretty face anyway. She can act!

Actors are people. They age just like us. It’s a shame they’re made to feel the pressure to always look young especially the women. It’s impossible to look the same forever & unrealistic.
I believe they also put pressure on themselves. So they get a double whammy. Such a shame.

That's true but there's a big difference between aging and aging badly.Lark Voorhies is different because she has lupus which is a horrible disease.Courtney Cox looks terrific.The other women who are highlighted here look awful.
It's been quite a run for Hollywood celebrities that resorted to plastic surgery. I bet a lot of them wish they had never done it.
I would walk past any of these people and not recognize who they are.
Middle aged and elderly French actresses still look terrific. They age gracefully without cosmetic procedures. Look at Catherine Deneuve, Audrey Fleurot, and Philippine Leroy Beaulieu.

Yes, I've noticed that. Aging well can be achieved through healthy eating, avoiding excess sun, using good moisturizers and yes, getting enough sleep. Aging happens to us all if we're lucky, so embrace it... it's not a disease nor a tragedy. What can be tragic is resorting to extreme plastic surgery that changes people's looks and "cosmetic procedures" involving things like botox and fillers which can immobilize faces. European actors and actresses seem so much more at ease with aging and they don't try to turn back the clock but make the best of themselves at whatever age they are. I think that ease and self confidence shows in their faces and is actually attractive.
That is because European men have a way more sophisticated attitude to aging than American men. They appreciate mature women for their experience and worldly ways. This keeps them vital and virile. Hence European women don't feel the need to destroy their looks with cosmetic surgery. American men are so immature they need young dolly birds to boost their egos and keep their virility.

Meg Ryan, Courtney Cox, heather Lockyear, Yasmine Bleeth these were once very beautiful women, but in most of these cases they try to hang onto their youth, but vanity can have a cost.

Courtney Cox is still beautiful.She's gotten older that's true but she looks great and hasn't let herself get to be the size of a house.The other women in this video just look awful.

The people who have aged naturally - John Travolta, Anthony Michael Hall - certainly look different, but not necessarily bad. The plastic surgery patients (victims?) have not fared nearly as well.
They aren’t necessarily victims of plastic surgery, they had choice, they read their rights and, with any surgery, which plastic surgery is a surgery procedure! It’s not a necessary surgery, they were doing it to save their acting career!
How manytimes in a movie do you see an extremley attractive man with a older looking considereably less attractive woman? or even in life, forget the movies.
In that situation its always the troll looking man with the attractive woman.
Celebrities have the pressure of staying young looking to keep their careers going.
I can understand why so many use plastic surgery to try to turn back time. Unfortunately, unless a light, and professional hand is used, with good judgement, many celebrities wind up looking worse. No doubt if they had just done nothing and aged naturally, many of these celebrities would look much better- and they would still look like themselves.
John doesn't look that bad. He's aging a lot better than others.
I wish I could look twenty years old forever. Too bad it's not like that. I gotta be realistic. Least I am not alone. Wish I could have plastic surgery to remove my ugly double chin. It looked good on my dad but not me. Insurance doesn't cover it.
OMG! I would pass these people on the street and never know who they are. Courtney seems the best female aging and John Travolta the best male. John has been through so much losing a son and his wife.

I know someone that had that mental disorder, it’s a form of depression one gets as the season change! Way before, I met this person she was very thin and beautiful but, physic o trofic drugs causes a person to gain weight. It’s the same thing with medications people have to take for a chronic illness because, they are put on similar meds to combat nerve pain as well as pain medication, then, you add steroids to the mix. Life happens you can’t always control everything single thing that happens in life and,yes, over time it effects you appearance. Even society wants to put people in this bubble that if your looks aren’t perfect your no longer a descent human being and, you don’t fit in no more to the society normal. People in general need to grow up, sure they wouldn’t like it if something happened to them that they had to battle on a daily basis that added stress in their life that changes them. Aka/ no one can be perfect all the time and, no one should be judging others simply based on their appearance!
Heather almost doesn't look like her former self and Yasmeen has really taken a big turn. Lark? Bless her heart, what can one say?
Hollywood life and drugs can ruin your life unlike anything else. The cost of immortality is too high.

Thanks for the updates! You should include Stockard Channing who was one of the stars of the first "Grease" movie! She looked great in her 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s and always looked like she was ten years younger than she was and had no work done on her face until she got into her 70s! She's barely recogizable these days and who ever worked on her face should have his license taken away. A really bad face job! Stars should think twice before going under the knife, imho!
You can put a fresh coat of paint on a 60 year old fence, but it'll still be a 60 year old fence.

Most of these people in my opinion don't need plastic surgery. If you want to look younger don't drink, smoke or take drugs. And don't lay out in the sun.

If I was told to (1)stop smoking, (2)stop drugs, (3)stop drinking and (4) stop laying in the sun…..I’d get off of this ride, pronto. Will be 72 next year. Too late to stop now. Wouldn’t want to anyway!

Hollywood has always been very hard on actors, especially women. As someone who worked in the industry for many years, I could see up close what pressure these women (especially the very beautiful ones) had one them. Inhuman.

I will never understand what Meg Ryan did to her face. I went to see the movie “The Women” in 2008. Aside from being a HORRIBLE movie (see the original if you want to see a great movie), Meg’s face was such a distraction that it was hard to pay attention to anything else.

One of the subtle advantages to having a face for radio and not being famous is nobody gives much of a damn about how well you age. Unlike a fine wine, we sort of whither on the vine a bit, but we avoid the sour grapes.
Lark has struggled with severe mental health issues plys physical. Its sad but people have made fun of her despite the fact she was struggling internally but Hollyweird has no sympathy.

There are some surgeons,out there,who have a lot to answer for.
We all age. Is a reality of our lives, we change physically, but we gain so much knowledge what life is all about. The beauty inside the for eternity.
Just have to take care of yourself and hope for the best. Drugs and plastic surgery are losing moves.
Hollywood hair, lighting, and makeup surely delivers "magical" transformations. My god, some of these women that were once thought of as impossibly beautiful age so badly then to compound things they get various treatments and surgeries which have the opposite effect to that they were chasing! The women getting procedures would be better off spending their money on hypnosis that makes them think they're still beautiful.
Hypnosis? No, plastic surgery which with that, who knows what filers and things are in those injections! I got Botox for migraines and it didn’t even work for my neck, I had to go to nerve blocks over all which worked much better, they even tell you all risk and, it even tells you some of the risks on the tv commercials for it! In the Java Derm commercials it’s all in fine print and, they say nothing about the side effects! Also what people don’t realize about that people that have to be numbed up in the mouth for a number of surgeries, especially when doctors have to work in around the mouth and throat region, especially for those who are chronically ill and have a limited mouth opening to help them to keep their mouth open while under anesthesia. I know had to have it a couple times and, the last time, the doctor wanted to make sure he had me numbed up good so, he gave me a bit too much and, for a while in a certain spot it stung like crazy. Hypnosis does nothing to transform one’s looks, it can only temporarily if it does work for the person, it can effect their frame of mind, but, no people in Hollywood don’t really seek that option. It’s more of the injections that are fillers that have lasting side effects and, plastic surgery! Makeup? If you go back there’s a history with makeup, makeup has chemical agents in it and that’s another thing people don’t get, that’s part of it to makeup can have the opposite effect, and, again that’s something that has throughout the years been chemically modified and, not like the much safer options we have today! Even still makeup and different forms of makeup isn’t meant to be worn 24hrs a day and, whatever is used for transformation for charters, they say, that’s why it to even has its side effects. It’s basically like when, your face is covered up with makeup for long hrs at a time on a daily basis, it’s like your not giving your face time to breathe.

I think people put celebrities on such a high pedestal that they often forget that they're people with the same issues and problems regular people suffer from. At the end of the day, they're human beings (for the most part), just with more high-profile jobs.

Well, she gained a lot of weight and apparently simply does not care how she looks and does nothing to look her best, even grooming wise. Good grooming, good haircuts, well fitting clothing, cleanliness ... help people of any age look their best without resorting to extreme body and face altering processes.
You can't chase youth. It happens once, you get your time then its gone. How people react to that says a lot about their "self" love.

Some of the people you featured have ongoing mental health struggles. The current psychiatric medications cause significant weight gain and puffy faces quite often. It was rather uniformed to make such sweeping assertions to their weight.
This should be required viewing for elementary through high school health classes. 😢

Have a little compassion. Most of us have the luxury of not relying on our looks to have a career, which is an even bigger thing for actresses. For a lot of them, acting is also something they love so there's even more pressure and amxiety. It's the public that creates these pressures as we are obsessed with outer appearances. Many talented ladies had to retire because of this. Yet here we have the masses - condemning people you've seen, yet don't even know 🙄

Everyone is beautiful regardless of how they look. You should not have to destroy or make yourself something you are not. If people can not accept the way you look for who you are then it is their problem, not yours. You can't look like you are 20 when you are 50, you take care of your health not let the knife only if it makes YOU feel good, it is your temple.
We all have a certain sense of vanity. I know i do,but ive never considered going to the extreme these people have gone. I understand Hollywood has no use for middle aged women unless they are terrific actors. These women have been used up and spit out by Hollywood.

Many stars get fillers etc a little at a time, where it is not noticeable.

Noninvasive, subtle procedures are usually not noticeable and don't change looks. You'd think more actors would realize that. When I see the photos of Madonna, one senses cognitive dissonance ... as if what she sees in the mirror is completely different from what other observers see.
I feel terrible for Heather Locklear because I always liked her and think she would have aged beautifully if she didn't do all that to her face. I'd much rather see a few wrinkles and some sag than an unnatural plastic looking face.
The sad part is, that all these jobs on their natural looks, actually makes things worse because chemicals and nature dont reach any kind of agreement.....
So far the best person that looks really good is Seth Rogen. Give him an a😊
