Erin Moran from “Happy Days” is another tragedy
An interesting side note about Jan-Michael Vincent. His grandfather was a bank robber who lived from 1876 to 1974.
He lived to 98? That’s a long life.
@@missylearned9821 He just wanted to rob them all...😅
Todd Bridges story was a breath of fresh air .hes alive ,clean and surviving
Amen to that so glad he turned his life around
Might be but you can tell he looks like he enjoyed some of that life
I thought he died. That is good to hear.
Bravo to the makeup artists and stylists who worked their magic on these stars throughout the years. They all look amazing!"
And not only did Tod Bridges get clean and sober, but he also kicked Vanilla Ice ass something terrible in a celebrity boxing contest...
Now that was most definitely a breath of fresh air...
Met Todd Bridges about 10 years ago. He was helping the set up crew set up an event that he would be signing autographs at. He was working just as hard as the set up crew. Talked to him each time he came to the smoke area to smoke a cigarettes on his breaks. I felt like an dummy because I had no idea it was him until the event started and he was setting at the booth taking pictures with people. I talked to him for 4 days and had no idea. Great guy though. Super laid back and friendly. Will talk your ear off.
Amanda Peterson's troubles began in 87, when a crew member of CBML assaulted her. Her parents talk about the changes she endured.
It is weird that she left Hollywood to return to pristine Colorado & things fell apart when she was away from the business.
meetoo liaers are everywhere. and the meetoo liars blame all their problems on lies
It's a godd*mn shame about Amanda Peterson. I've heard she was sexually assaulted while young, but don't know what really happened. She had everything and could have been very successful.
Sadly, the recurring theme with all these people is drugs. It seems to be the case that when young people taste fame and get shed loads of money, they turn to either drugs or alcohol. It was true of many of the young rock stars or the 60s and 70s (see the film Valley of the Dolls (1967)... it was true of Judy Garland. The fact that they didn't have a lot of money at the end is really irrelevant. They would probably have been better off had they never stood infront of a television camera.
Experiencing homelessness was the consequence of my actions. It also became a blessing that gave me answers that I didn't know I needed.
You get to see what people truly are: evil. It is the freedom from evil that is the answer.
About 20 years ago I went for work for a fast foot restaurant and not long after I was made the kitchen manager. Right after that the general manager hired a woman who looked vaguely familiar to me. After a while we got to know each other fairly well and we started dating. Always in the back of my mind I felt she seemed familiar and I mentioned it one day and she pulled out a vhs tape and popped it in the vcr and that was her on a TV show as a child actress. She was fairly famous and I remember watching the show and her in it. Turns out it was a familiar story. After she hit her later teens Hollywood lost interest in her and her parents had squandered pretty much every cent she made which was a few million. We moved in together and that relationship lasted for about two years. But an old contact found her work in Hollywood again though this time behind the camera. She's worked on several TV series since. She makes far more than she would have in fast food but no where near what she got when acting. I'd like to see some laws put in place that prohibit parents from squandering their child's money, perhaps something like 90% of what they earn goes into a trust fund for them.
I thought there *was* a law like that. Maybe put into place after the same thing happened to Jackie Coogan. Leave it to the studios to find a way around labor laws.
I call BS
I believe the story.
Bravo to the makeup artists and stylists who worked their magic on these stars throughout the years. They all look amazing!"
@@monsantofungaro5704green is a very ugly color on you😅
I grew up with most of these actors and actresses. It's so sad how their lives ended.
How tragic for the singer ( Mindy's) son. He lost both parents to suicide. I really hope he has a great support system.
It's more likely the father was murdered by Mindy.
Lisa Robin Kelly actually married a director who helped check her into a rehab center in Altadena, CA, where she died in her sleep. Her husband is suing the facility for negligence.
Out of all the people mentioned in the video, Todd Bridges, in my opinion, has successfully overcame his demons. Sure, he hasn't received that many acting roles lately, but he's more focused on counseling others to overcome their addictions, and most importantly, he's become a man of God, which to me, more important than any acting role.
I think he was the only whose story didn't end with their death.
Its a relief frankly to know that he did live and go on to have a life with his family
The greatest shock for me was jan michael vincents downward spiral.
I was a huge airwolf fan as a child.
R.i.p.,my childhood hero.
Todd bridges is the one person on the list that seems to have turned things around by getting his drug problems under control
He was in World's Dumbest w a few other we should know,Leif,Danny B Partridge fame & few other's. I've seen Danny's pics lately and he doesn't look good so not the bulky small guy he used to be,forget what he has but I feel for him and the other's who've had hard time's but still are around.
Peace to TV Kid's.
Gary didn’t make it cause of Bad choices but bad parents who sent his money . Coleman always had serious health issues . That’s why he was so small .
I was so in love with Jan Michael Vincent. So sad to hear about his downward spiral.
It's wierd how he did that odd plot, story on CBS's cop series Nash Bridges. He played Nash's older brother who was listed as a MIA, Viet Nam war era.
So was I.
It's so sad how much talent we have lost because of addiction. Thank you for the interesting upload. 😊
🕊️🙏❤️
I LOVE Star Trek Voyager, and Jennifer Lien didn't deserve to be let go to make room for Jeri Ryan. There were other ways of handling this transition, the one chosen was obviously devastating to Ms Lien.
I think they should have kept both Characters. Kes would have been a great Mentor to Seven of Nine.
I think Jen should be allowed at all the Star Trek: Voyager Conventions and Shows. Obviously, she doesn't look like the pretty YOung Woman she played when she was on Voyager. But all those actors grew older as well.
SOME OF THOSE TRAGIC PEOPLE,I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF.......MAY THEY REST IN A BETTER PLACE.
Sad the way so many child stars get involved with drugs and alcohol at such an early age. Then you have others like Jodie Foster and Ron Howard who seem to have successfully transitioned into adult actors/directors/producers. Makes you wonder why
Depends if they were molested by adults in charge in most cases.
Ron Howard said his parents kept close to him and brother Clint and recalled getting a whipping when he missed behaved on set. Good parenting helps.
Parenting!
bullshit it depends if they have morals or not@@jewel65
Stanley and Barry Livingstone came through OK. Good parents I would think.
So many of the young performers are abused. With no one wanting to hear that holyweird isn’t all fun and games it’s very difficult for them to get help. Famous people with mental issues are often written off as eccentric until they fall apart and then they’re just swept under the rug.
Jan-Michael Vincent was the most handsome man ever seen on film. His performance in Sand Castles was impactful. Sad.
No, he was not
The Mechanic with Charles Bronson was one of my favorites.
@@valenciawoods4498 It was a good movie.
Drugs and alcohol destroyed his good looks.
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc Such as they were.
Kes was so beautiful in Voyager, it's sad her RL persona turned out the way it did...
Be careful who you envy. Things aren't always what they seem. And the cost of fame, far more expensive, than we can imagine.
So true. I used to envy famous people as a child. I thought that was the best life. Now, from what I hear, not so much...
Jan Michael Vincent didnt start drugs after Airwolf's stardom; he'd always had addiction problems mainly alcohol. It's sad, he was a great actor
Fame is an unforgiving mistress, but at least Todd Bridges made it out alive.
When I was a teenager I was so in love with Amanda Peterson. RIP!
Jan Micheal Vincent was a disney child star, similar to Kurt Russell. All first names..🙃
This should be titled “drugs ruined their lives.” I don’t think any of them were homeless. They may have been broke but none seemed to be homeless.
You forgot Corey Haim! These stories are so sad.
He’s got a grift going on his own now. “Helping” women get acting careers going.
@jamesdellaneve9005 Corey Feldman almost looks like he wants to be Charlie Sheen, from Charlie's wild days. His behavior was quite curious. At least that's the feeling I got when I watched a reality TV spot on him. It's bizarre, because I can remember when he wanted to be like Michael Jackson, and took to dressing like him. I wish someone would hire him to act again in something, because he's a decent actor. Just my opinion, of course.
@@jamesdellaneve9005He's dead.
Corey Feldman is still acting. Low budget straight to streaming/ video but still acting. Corey Haim died in 2010.
@@keythdanielsen5533 He was thinking of the wrong Corey out of "The Coreys" as they were referred to.
Dano Plato still hurts, so young and cute.
Willie Aames went through some really low points in his life but has turned himself around in recent years and survived, unlike some of his contemporaries, unfortunately. It's a shame that Todd Bridges seemed to miss the boat in "cute, loveable" kid roles! I remember him as the angry little boy on Abe Vigoda's short lived series "Fish" and then on to playing more responsible older brother and essentially second banana to Gary Coleman!
Esstetially!
When Todd Bridges was a child actor, he appeared in dozens of TV shows.
Add Finn Carter to the list. Her most well-known role was Rhonda in the first Tremors movie. She also appeared in Murder She Wrote, CSI, Chicago Hope, The Outer Limits and various other things. She was arrested in 2019 for credit card fraud, which seemed to spell the end for her acting career.
I recall that even while she was on the tv show Star Trek: Voyager that event organizers had booked Jennifer Lien to come to Star Trek conventions around the country but quickly realized she was way too painfully shy to appear and more importantly mingle with the public as was required in those venues and so they stopped booking her. Looking back it seems her mental health issues were probably already manifesting while she was on the show but didn't become pronounced until after she left.
It's saddening to see how badly drugs affects our society and causing all these people to ruin theirs and the lives of those around them.
And yet people want to legalize them. I grew up in "The Hood" and saw firsthand how drugs devastate individuals, families, and entire communities.
Society is the community we live in, not one’s life! All kinds of people destroy communities not just those on drugs, it takes all kinds of people to destroy one’s community, 💯% facts!
Drugs don't ruin people's lives.
People ruin their lives with drugs.
Its ironic how we never mention the thousands of people who get high have a great time and don't go down the tubes, we only hear about the few who screw up.
People die in cars all the time.
Do we vilify cars?
No.
Because most of us use them all the time with no problem.
You Say it like it's a CANCER that a person JUST GETS........these druggies CHOSE,,,,CHOSE!!! TO PURSUE DRUG USAGE...Its not a horrible thing that HAPPENED to them, they ,,,,,,chose
@@jonlyons1033 how's drugs working for you dearie?
I didn't know Lisa Robin Kelly passed away. I watched the show on occasion but didn't follow it as diligently as My Name is Earl. When she was removed from the show, I wondered why but didn't dig into it. It is disappointing to know she admitted her problem, checked into rehab, and shortly after, she died in her sleep from multiple drug intoxication.
Lani grew up near where I used to live, in the small town of Lafayette, CA, in Contra Costa County. Her brother was Don O’Grady who played one of the sons on “My Three Sons.” Her story is so sad. Knowing what we all know about Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, (among others too numerous to list here)and the “casting couch” history of the entertainment industry, it would not surprise me to learn that like Lani, many young performers, girls and boys alike, were sexually abused and/or assaulted during their time in the industry. So much of their behavior mirrors that of many sexual assault victims. If anything good came out of the “Me, too” movement following the Weinstein, Cosby, et al cases, I hope it is that people in that industry who may have been inclined to perpetrate these crimes are now more circumspect regarding their behavior towards vulnerable people.
Bravo to the makeup artists and stylists who worked their magic on these stars throughout the years. They all look amazing!"
Were these women forced? Or did they want to be Hollywood stars and were willing to suck on anything to get there?
I don’t know why ppl like to shame ppl for their looks or status…. I’d love to see what some of these RUclipsrs look like & where they live
Dana Plato's story was so very sad and I was shocked to hear recently that her son also committed suicide as a grown man. Jennifer Lien is also a terrible story, I hear she has a child.
You can see the despair in their eyes. So very sad.
What an uplifting video, thanks!
Another cast member from Eight is Enough is Susan Richardson, and she is in bad shape same as her TV sister Lani Grady was with addictions and serious mental health issues and living in a broken motor home. But she is still alive, so still has a chance.
This is whom I thought he was going to talk about re: 8 Is Enough.
These kids were used and abused by the dark side of Hollywood.
What about Mackenzie Phillips?
These stories are all so sad and tragic. I’m 60 and don’t know most of these people. I do know that drugs are absolutely a scourge on our society. Tragically I seem to be in the minority on this point.
All addictive personalties...why are so many actors addictive personalities?
Because they have all the same character flaws the rest of us common folk do....
The same can be said for people working in commercial fishing or even the restaurant industry.
Why did they totally omit JMVs movie career? Sudden fame with Airwolf?? Yeah, nah- he was already huge in films-
Jan-Michael Vincent is one actor I remember well, particularly for his role in a TV film, largely forgotten, 1977's, Damnation Alley, where he planned Tanner. Sad end to a talented performer.
I remember Damnation Alley primarily because it is one of the few mainstream tastes of Roger Zelazny's works.
"As a way of dealing with the fame, he turned to drugs". I'm sick of hearing that pathetic excuse for drug taking.
Glad to hear todd turned it around
Todd Bridges is the only one alive on different strokes .i glad he turned his life around
Gary Coleman - 2010
Conrad Bain - 2013

I’ve been an extra and stuntman for many years and believe me, drugs are rampant on set from cast and crew.
Which celebrities did you enjoy working with?
Agreed...I worked as a Sc enic carpenter for years and even in that capacity, drugs are rampant there as well.
SA on children has lifelong devastating effects.
Living in a trailer is not homeless.....
Bravo to the makeup artists and stylists who worked their magic on these stars throughout the years. They all look amazing!"
I always wonder what happened to Mandy M. The Song Angels In Waiting was based on a true story about her younger brothers! I remember the year that hit came out and, that was also the Anniversary Year of The Pumpkin Show in the little town of Versailles, IN where, I was living at, at the time and, she was scheduled for a appearance that wk and, me and my daughter went over that night.
Lani Grady suffered from PANIC ATTACKS. I know that all to well. It is AMAZING she accomplished as much as she did. RIP
Her brother was on my 3 sons
It would be better if you knew that all "too" well. How can people be so stupid?
Jan Michael Vincent was a really horrible person. Nothing that happened to him surprised me. My dad knew him when he lived in Malibu. We even got a dog from him he didn’t want anymore. The dog was pretty bad, too. Very aggressive, we gave him up. Michael trained him to be that way. Macho man, macho dog. It wasn’t just the dog, though. He was a total tool. And I guess you can’t be in entertainment if you don’t have an ego. But imo, that’s what Always brings them down. The bigger the ego, they harder they fall.
Not remembering who you were always is a downfall. Especially whe you have it "all."
That guy was a total mess. He looked terrible as he aged and apparently wasn't nice to work with. I remember reading this article about Ernest Borgnine and they were asking him about all these actors he worked with. He had nice things to say about everyone but nothing to say about JMV. His female co-star on the show he was the star of, said the best thing she could say about him was that he gave her a cold. Terrible person whose personality was lost in alcoholism. Had no idea about the dogs though.
@@esterdrass4964 In other comment there is info about his grandpa:
"His grandfather was a bank robber who lived from 1876 to 1974." ;)
With Kimberly the interview with Stern was the last straw. He ritually performed a humiliation ritual on her.
Did he ritually perform a ritual?
Sad testament to the disruptive effect that celebrity has on young performers. A fragile ego, borne of fame when a young mind hasn't had sufficient guidance to develop, frequently leads to trouble.
Dana Plato was killed by her fiance. This guy wanted fame, or money. He was actually taking pictures of her while she lay there dying! He said it was because she was breathing funny, yeah because the first thing you want to do when someone is breathing funny is snap a picture and not call 911.
I just subscribed.😊
This is rough. But time and time again, drugs and alcohol are often the contributing factors to their own demise.
You have choices in life !! Bad Choices = Bad Consequences !! 🤷🏻
Except all the rampant SA on children. Kids don't make that choice.
WOW! Such words of wisdom….awe inspiring 🙈
@@gigiatkins5923 Not words of Wisdom , 'tis a FACT !! So what part of my statement is incorrect ??
@@waylonmccrae3546 It’s not incorrect it’s just a grotesque simplification of life imo
@@gigiatkins5923 I suppose , lord knows I've made bad choices before and consequences bit me in the a$$ big time , & I suppose it can happen to anyone at any time !! Such is life!! 😶
Edward Furlong took quite a downward spiral. Definitely rough when Hollywood or fans aren't interested any longer
well to be fair; his massive drugaddiction came way before Hollywood lost interest in him. He was obviously stoned the whole time while filming American History X for example. There is not one scene with him in it, where he looks sober....such a shame; I really love his work, so to me it's such a shame the way he went.
@@endurancegoliath4569Agreed
David Cassidy should be added to your list as well as Judy Garland
I get so tired of reading about celebs, who have had more opportunities than I ever will, messing up their lives. Mindy McReady still saddens me, as I really liked her music. Seeing Jan-Michael Vincent's hairless chest every time I went to the grocery store was an unasked for experience.
Seeing his hairless chest…that comment gave a good chuckle. Never understood the whole open shirt fashion
💯 agree keyth, they definitely get better breaks and treatment than the working layman, and still can’t get their shit together. I always thought J M Vincent was a lucky dude, his acting was lackluster in my opinion, he was even in “The Mechanic” with Charlie Bronson with the same silly open-shirt.
Hmm....I think money and fame changes people no matter how big or small they are. The two create new problems and continue problems from the past. You can't be that arrogant to think it couldn't happen to a person like you or me. You are looking at it from the outside with your present reality and morality. Yes things change for the best in the eyes of "normal" people but you have no idea of what's taken place off the camera. I understand the angst but not the judgement. If you want things to be different in your life, then change it. I'm sure they did the best they could with what was given to them. Every celebrity, past and present, has admitted that the experience changed them in some major way. They were fortunate enough not to end up on lists like these. They are humans having a human experience in front of a camera. I would hope you could of empathize with the human condition. Anyways, take care of yourself, my friend.❤
@@hydrangeas_lover I'm almost 67. Made it to the pleasant place in my life now by the choices I've made, the lessons I've learned from my mistakes and the people I chose to associate with.
Funny. Based on your comment, I will bet you were about the same age.
Lani O’Grady was the younger sister of Don Grady, who played Robbie Douglas on My Three Sons.
Before Air Wolf, Jan Michael Vincent was already a huge star (and not from guesting on The Banana Splits): Tribes, Buster and Billie, White Line Fever, The Mechanic. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ What a loss.
Hi I New to your Channel. I can't understand how these Celebrities can get so much Involved with Drugs. There are a lot of People out there struggling everyday, Making very little money And trying to get by. In there heyday These Stars were making a lot of Money when they were in Show business, Very lucky to be in that position. The Nightmare of Drugs, took over there lives And they lost Everything, Including their own lives. Great Video 😀📸👍🥰❤️📸👍🥰
Lani O'Grady looked 40 yrs old on Eight is Enough
Very shocking , and sad 😞 at the same time 😢
How about...? Adam Rich (Eight is Enough; Code Red), Gary Coleman (Diff'rent Strokes), Brian Bonsall (Family Ties; Mikey), Trent Lehman (Nanny and the Professor), Rusty Hamer (Make Room for Daddy), Jim J. Bullock (Too Close for Comfort), Lisa Loring (The Addams Family), Robert John Pittman (Dennis the Menace).
How about 19, 000 other people while we're at it?
2:00 A Morphine overdose, a gentle way to go. And I mean this. I was addicted to the stuff for 21 years and survived, now clean, but if it kills you (and I know some people who died from it) it is a very gentle way of leaving this world.
The one that really breaks my heart was Mindy McCready 😢😢 and what makes hers even more sad is that I've heard from several different sources that she was pregnant when she killed herself!
Pure conjecture and gossip stop it
Pushers of drugs should be given life without parole.
It's good but a better title would be from Hollywood to Dead!
With the younger stars that " fell" into drugs...Where were their parents? Normal parenting would not allow their children to run nilly-willy! Wake up!
Here overseas I only know Airwolf. Had no idea that all of this happened to him.
I need to know who to contact about bringing back the TV show about- THEN CAME BRONSON. LET'S TRY THAT ONE AGAIN!!!
Wery intereting report
Co-worker was so in love with the actress who played Kes in Star Trek Voyager. He’d be devastated to find out how she ended up…
"There, but for the Grace of God, go I."
It's a shame that these child stars aren't counseled and shown that they can do more than just act. They could easily have done other jobs
You dont need to be told that playing with fire can be dangerous...they KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING...and chose to keep on doing it.....
Watched the whole thing waiting for Jennifer. Lol.... Good snag! 😂
What about Erin Moran (Joanie on “Happy Days”)?
Erin's parents, who were her managers, squandered most of her money.
Mental health is a real problem that hits anyone even if your famous, someone needs to explain this to all the want to be youtubers and other social media semi stars.
enjoyed this ,,,,noooooooooooooo,,,,,depresing and very sad
Just couldn't, or wouldn't, handle it all. Success is a pure waste of time for some people, better off on third shift at Amazon.
What a shame.
Very sad
Wish the best for those that are still living
I guess we're just going to forget the millions of non-famous, non-Hollywood people that lose everything to drugs and end up the same way. When are we going to stop glorifying these "celebrities"?
I'm shocked to hear about. Mindy McCready. I was a fan of her music in the early 2000s. Apparently I've been living under a rock .
Expected to see Erin Moran on this list (maybe if this had been 19,not 8...)🎩
For 19,read 10🎩
LIFE IS TOUGH ////
This is just so sad
Danna Plato was so pretty!
I had such a crush on JMV in the 70s. Really sad how his life turned out.
Every parent needs to start talking about drugs to their children as young as possible. They need to understand how powerless they'll become under drugs and alcohol.
Vehicle recklessness is inexcusable. You endanger everyone else on the road.
4:15 Jan Michael Vincent--don't do drugs kids
It appears that stardom is the kiss of death for many people.
