I know I'm late to this game but just got into this hobby. Great information from your channel and it caught me up from 2005 when I used to race 1/10 nitro touring on road. My question is do you have to balance the tire or does it really matter at this scale?
It’s up to you. I never found much a difference with it either way. And sometimes non air runs just as fast as air. But I generally just run the air ones
They don’t seem to be very cutting edge. Their new front tires are a swing and a miss and for some reason they refuse to make reactions in their better compounds??
Question: I understand that Reactions are most likely the most popular tires used for glue, has anyone tried other than belted like Mamba's or Hoosier 's etc, would they possibly work ?
if youre running air you need to change through the day. start softer around 2.5 and work up to 4.5-5. as the track comes up. might have to go down as well if things get slick
Thanks brow I make my fist Air Tires and i love it Thanks for sharing this Video thank i made it ase you in the Video and thanks for nice day and thanks a lot Manuel from Europa Austria
I put Graham racing bands in my raw speed thickies, so far so good. Totally experimental, 1 set with foams from big daddy's, cut down to size, 1 set no foam . Both work well.not on air yet....next month maybe
@@Dorkyand40 it's working good. I used the grey soccer ball replacement valves from ebay. They are smaller than the black ones from pumpuptheball on amazon. After i put the air in i plug the hole with a short m3 plastic screw. No leaks at all
Going to try the jconceepts one. It shows up today. Not sure if it’s much better. I get odd results with my dubro. Sometimes. think it’s maybe just too little for big tires and not props. But I’ll find out for sure.
Use two valves instead of plugging them up, these tires will leak down no matter how well they are glued and the second valve will come in handy after the first on is worn out. Also start with the 3.0 bead first because it is more difficult to seat correctly.
Why don’t we see people doing water burnouts like in real drag cars I tried it over the weekend with simple green straight on the asphalt and seemed to work well
Voltage sag and hit would be one reason. Esc and motor heat another. If the stator is saturated before your pass then it’s all out the window. I do just enough to feel a slight pull and that’s it.
See I always use warmers and most of the fast guys do. At least for the first few runs of the day then they usually stay hot enough on the sun. In the end you gotta do what you gotta do and the more spray on the carpet creates less resistance and wear and tear but I would say it’s just not the best case for success. Could cost you an esc.
@@Dorkyand40 how many batteries do you carry for your warmers most comments I’ve read say you can only get 4-5 uses before you have to change the battery and thanks for the info
Gonna run .5 first and go up from there. Jared baker runs the breakout chassis and he’s the only person that’s said exactly what he runs with reactions
How's the pressure testing going? If you're going to Toledo this weekend then good luck! I had hoped to make it but I'll have to wait for the next one.
That stinks. Should be fun. So I think it’s going ok. I’m testing a lot of things right now so I haven’t done a real side by side test yet. So I can say it’s not hurting me since my times are really close to what they were.
Been useing air on my high-speed runs forever. Yeah, a bit more weight, but they don't tear apart like foam tires, and they ride so much better
awesome
Good Idea. I bet someone working on a inner tube for that. If so that would make life easier.
It sure would brother

Thanks man. Yes I balance all 4 with this lead golf club tape. Keep those vibes down
I'm also working on my own chassis. It won't be independent rear suspension , it will be a true 4 bar car with a lift arm.
That’s the way to go as long as it has a little flex for weight transfer I’d think.
Where can I find pictures of your build/progress??
@@YurrFilmz i am hoping by the end of the week I will have it welded up, still trying to figure out the rear end.
Ca glue on hole in rim then Sprinkle with baking soda. Insta dry and like concrete.
Ah yes sir. That’s an old gap filling trick from modeling. Good call sir.
The holes in the wheels that do "not" have the air valve in them.....do those get taped closed? or what......

I wonder if Pro-Line or the like will ever make a true wrinkle slick? The back sidewall is very small.

@@Dorkyand40 Nailed that statement, Proline is clueless!
An inner tube would be the hot ticket for this application. I wonder if fix a flat would work......mmmmmmm.....
Lol. I’m sure.
So when you take the cuff off the blood pressure pump there’s a valve in there?
no..look at the setup of the tubing and the pump needle i have
Question: I understand that Reactions are most likely the most popular tires used for glue, has anyone tried other than belted like Mamba's or Hoosier 's etc, would they possibly work ?
They just grow too much so the car spins. You must run a belted tire
Can u do same if u have aluminum rims?
As long as you glue them right but it’s much harder.
So on what psi to run. You said .5-1 psi, then said 2-4 psi. Is it .5-4? Pretty wide range

can boil or soak in acetone to deglue.
Might have to stink the place up this weekend
Can you save a tire if you boil it ?
Yeah but not the pot lol.

Stop showing me this stuf lol..I cant wait to try this bro . They looks super cool. Looking forward to the test hits .👍
Me too. If it didn’t work the. The fast guys wouldn’t be doing it.
@@Dorkyand40 oh for sure bro racing is all about those small variables that add up to a big advantage .
try the dubro air valves for rc plane tires cheaper and lighter ... dub809 and dub333 for the inflator
No more air. Reactions with foam now.
@@Dorkyand40 did it not work well
Not enough to keep fiddling with them. For me and our surfaces.
hey man hows it going ,do like a slipper clutch or direct drive
Eliminator
Did you leave the foams In or out
No foams.
Great video man. I made the same air pump it works grea
They do. Simple and effective. The tube ends wear out a bit so might need to glue the needle in with some shoe goo. I need to still do that myself.
@@Dorkyand40 I put electric tape around it to hold it in place
The end was funny sounds like me also.😂
Lol
I can't wait till somebody comes out with a 2-2 Tire....
raw speed makes a 2.2 stadium truck tire. it's good for 13.5t but explains too much for eliminator

Mansfield sir.
This tires have 2 holes what came in the Other hole or how fix them

@@Dorkyand40 ok thanks nice work Manuel from Austria
Use a second valve, batter balance and you will appreciate having the backup valve when the first one wears out or is faulty from the start.
That’s not a bad idea man. I will def do that from now on. Thanks a bunch. I’ll bring that up in a follow up video.
Don't for get it works best with the not so accessible vuduhs tires
That’s for sure :)
Do you use foam when using air?
Not with the regular reactions. Some use foam in the new wide ones.
@@Dorkyand40 Thanks
Hold the tires under water once it's full and you will see the leaks

How would that work on a beadlock tire?
It won’t. Needs to be sealed by glue.
Well there goes that idea.. 😄
I have air in my crawler tires on dual beadlocks with no glue
I run a small bead of black rtv to seal it and let me take it apart easy
How's that do on the course compared to just standard beadlock.. indoor and outdoor?
