Since it's a parallel twin it will easily be priced close to 5lakh regardless of local manufacturing. The RS660 was a failure due to it's 14lakh price mainly due to Import taxes. Hope Aprilia won't commit the same error with the RS 440

@@BMK500 so, if any manufacturer imports a fully made machine to India, they have to bear import tax as much as the machine's price. Let's say, if 660 costs ₹7 lakhs in the international market, then it'll cost ₹14 lakhs in India. The government is doing so because they want to promote Made in India products, if not manufacturing then at least the assembling.

So the price in this way could be in check. Led lights and digital instrument is a must for us 😀 Just like triumph street triple r and rs, If they can keep a difference of 1.5 lacs, then a lot of first time buyers would get interested.

However a 440cc engine is a small capacity engine and most 400cc bikes don't make more than 45 bhp at all especially given how strict emission norms are getting. They already have a Aprilia 660 for those who want a bigger bike with a lot more power.

This bike is being built in baramati plant. It's not cbu bike like ninja 400 and rs660 so it won't cost as much as ninja 400. Around 4 lakh or maybe little more than that would be best price since it's Aprilia and they only produce premium bikes.
Systematically the number 400-500cc's will not rush our indians to buy. We are more habituated to parellel twins of royal enfields with 650cc badges, While in the lower segment, we prefer 310's and 390's. If the goal is to be targetted really hard, then they should launch middle weight super sport category. Not a sports tourer.
Has the 450rs/ss gone over everyone’s head here? I would consider that it’s biggest competition considering it’s a 440-450cc with ≈50 hp out of a 270* parallel twin and sport fairings
@@hiteshgujarathi4636 Yes but Aprilia is known for being a premium brand and it uses more expensive components than a Ninja 400 like aluminum swingarm, bigger engine, USD forks etc. My guess is this bike will sell between 4 - 4.5l and closer to the 4.5l mark if not higher. The Ninja 300 is a Indian bike and other than the engine is heavily outdated and is priced at 3.5l. So a premium brand like Aprilia is definitely going to be much more expensive than the Ninja 300.

Whenever you see test mules that means a bike is almost certainly coming. It's very rare for a company to reach the test mule stage especially one that looks like a finished product and not launch the bike entirely. So it's 99% certain to launch by this year as the test bike looks like ready to launch product.

The pricing mentioned in the video is false. Ninja 300 now costs 3.4 ex show room, Yamaha R3 will be launching soon( price was 3.5 L ex show room in 2019) and definetly R3 will cost min 4 Lakh ex show room now. Considering these bikes having nearly 41 hp and 29 Nm torque without TFT display , The upcoming RS 440 would definetly cost minimum 5 lakh ex showrrom with a power of 48 hp. That will be competing Ninja 400 definetly , but not RC390.
Better had they launched in lower cc but still if they will launch it for 3.5 lakh, would be nice as it looks a lot better than Kawasaki in twin cylinder bikes

It depends on the segment, engine displacement and the power figures, and not entirely on the engine construction.

This will definitely come in Q4 2023 or early 2024. The test mule was spotted recently, unlike the KTM 490 Duke, which was never seen.
