Crappie magnet works great too
I’ve tried but no luck really for me.
Marlin would love to some trout fishing with you
✋
If you want to catch a bunch of stickies, no better lure than the magnet!
Just started fishing, bought a lifetime collection from an old man. Been watching your videos a few times & caught 4 big rainbow trout my first 2 times ever! Was only out there for about an hour every time as it's been so hot here in BC. I'm going for bull trout next week. Greetings from the Canadian Rockies.
My favorite thing in the world. a bobber going down, nothing beats that
Austin Waters being handed million dollars
I like when the bobber starts to get taken to the side like jaws. One day I was fishing Storrie lake in Las Vegas , NM. And I didn't see or feel a bite but I saw my bobber going across the water. man that fish was getting speed.
Calm waters on the pond, line is flat on the surface slowly moving with the water and then the line starts to straighten out, 30 feet away a giant trout jumps in the air with your powerbait in his mouth. Thats a great feeling. And then of course the fight.
I like it when my girlfriend goes down...
Top water bass fishing!
Take a collar chunk of another grub, pinch a little chunk off, and thread it on the hook to splay the tails apart. Instant improvement and slows the sink rate a good bit as well.
Been rolling that with an ultra light setup, with 4lb mono. Works amazing! Absolutely love it!
Your fishing videos are great, expressly for beginning enthusiasts. You do an excellent job narrating and giving us Rod, Reel, Line and bait information. Could we also get the hook type and size used for each situation? At least for the trout fishing ones. Lol. Thanks
Thanks for the tips! I’ve never seen these used on open water before and never thought to use them on open water. We use them for ice fishing and catch a lot of fish all different species. I found this channel yesterday and have been binging the videos it’s nice to see a channel that does trout fishing and not just fly fishing trout. I live in northern Utah and it’s mostly trout out here and usually RUclips channels focus on bass or other species.
Nice name! Lol
So far I’ve used these to catch rainbow trout, perch, and a couple largemouth bass! I can’t wait to see what else they’ll catch!
I’ve got those and there Awsome to have in you’re arsenal. Keep pumping out the great videos. 👍
Been watching your videos this winter as I will be fishing southern BC next year. Thanks for the basic tutorials on the kokanee and trout. Bought some of these trout magnets to use. Keep up the good videos.
Use a gulp 1.5 minnow on trout mag head works great for everything!
Used this technique for crappies for years and it works. Cant wait to try it on trout now that i moved to a state that regularly stocks trout!
Thank you so much for another great video and thank you guys for adding the clip of the fish you guys caught at the end. Keep up the amazing work 😁👌🏼
We add a meal worm on them doing this technique. They also work great in moving water.
Great videos. One comment about what you said. You said these things work great where trout are concentrated right after stocking. I could throw practically anything in a school of freshly stocked trout and catch something.
I did pick these up last year but didn't get a chance to use them. I'll be trying them this spring when the seasons open.
Our streams are hatching caddis. The nymphs are green and so, tomorrow I'm going to throw green trout magnets .
I just started using line through bobbers with these. Idk how I lived without them
I would say my favorite color trout magnet is (( the green with red flakes ))they work great. I don't use bobbers, I just litly bounce or litly jig them off the button. I do catch a lot of trout this way.
Really enjoyed your video. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the needless fraying of the line/braid. You have a new subscriber. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Some of my favorite lures/baits. I rarely fish them with a float though, I usually just jig them like a crappie jig or tube jig.
They are deadly in small mountain creeks...
My concern is getting snagged or just getting a bunch of seaweed on the retrieve lol
@@vega21 no problem when they bately sink
Great video, thanks! I would love to see some videos that show how to use jigs better for trout or bass in lakes and streams. Where to cast how to retrieve etc
Excellent video!! Just getting back into fishing after a good amount of years. Catching up! Thank you
I would love to see a video on how to learn fishing regulations and how to know “the does and don’t s” of different water systems legally 👍
Thank you for this video. I purchased one of these kits several years ago and never had any luck. Turns out I wasn't doing it right. Hell, I was doing it all wrong. Gonna try again this coming Monday and I'm betting I have better luck with them. Your videos are some of the best out there. I was at Fisherman's Marine in Oregon City today and the most experienced guy at the fishing counter asked me "have you ever seen the Addicted Fishing videos on RUclips?" I told him that I had and he said to just keep watching your videos and I'd do fine.
Any Luck?
@@seanmadden3918 Yep. As a truck driver I have little time at home for fishing, but I've nailed two on the magnets one morning when everybody else was using (and losing) with PowerBait. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE PowerBait; it serves me well. It would just seem that sometimes the fish are in the mood for something different.
Good lesson there. The only suggestion I'd have is to be sure to tie a loop knot onto the jig so it swims well.
Thank you or the patient explanation of the set up and the cast
Your the only channel I go to for my fishing advice thank man
Trout magnets are my favorite jig for trout in stocked streams and creeks
I actually really like using them for panfish and bluegill they work well and are durable for them
All time best creek fishing lure. No float just the jig head and grub absolutely unbeatable!
I noticed with the trout magnet I'm using for the first time this year that the trout are barely hooked, easy to release safely. I have caught 50 trout in a day on it. I used powerbait exclusively prior to this and every fish was gut hooked. Best colors for me are white and the yellow.
Use circle hooks for power bait to combat gut hooks. Haven’t had one yet using them
They work. Great on pressured bass
I came across these in the dollarstore for only $1. thought it was silly but got one anyway.
it not only worked really well but didnt realize it was so popular.
the kit came with 2 tiny hooks, 2 white and 2 yellow grubs, and 2 weird floats.
You guys rock! Thank you for great tutorials.
So I stumbled upon magnets looking for something simple and fun to get my son into lure fishing, then late winter early spring I was eager to do some fishing and couldn't get bites I knew the local pond had trout so I threw on one of the magnet hookjigs and a trout worm from power bait and boom I couldn't stop catching trout this lead me to rethink my trout fishing style and try the other magnet trout products and now I won't use much else aside from magnets and rooster tails. They truely work great.. magnet makes a ultra light rod and reel combo that dicks sells for like 20 bucks which for a cheap rod is at least better then walmart but the reel feels like trash so I didn't give it a shot. One thing though when I fish them I don't see the point in the float I just keep the line just a tad slacked and jig till I feel the fish
They are great for everything pan fish I can’t wait to try em tmr morning
Love these lures. Caught my BP on the red and white
Can’t wait for some more winter steelhead videos. I have that same kit of trout magnets I use them for panfish guess I should try what fishing after their name sake lol
Great info ad usual!👊😁🤙
😒----i just bought something new by the trout magnet company, it's called trout magnet floating trout treats. i guess it's their own new power bait. if it's any good who knows for sure. i love jigging the trout magnets off the button like a little jig, this works very good. awesome video
Thanks for the tips.
I have fished at both of those lakes before. Kinda cool to see.
Our Kmart is closing got some great deals on trout magnets.
Yet another great vid 👍
Proud alaskan here.. i dig the hoodie
Your video is so amazing . i enjoyed it so much !! i wish i could see other soon.
Nice, I bought some trout magnets but I wasn't sure how to use them thanks.
glow chartreuse trout magnet jig with a Gulp Alive Watermelon Pearl minnow, i use a Hellbent UL, Kastking Sharky3 reel, 3lb Maxima Ultragreen. Try a Rocket Bobber
The loop knot works great with these
Just purchased these to try in scotland for rivers lochs and fisheries
I have caught Blue Gill, Rainbow trout and a Largemouth bass on Trout Magnets
I would say they work pretty good.
Awesome 👏 you guys are the best at teaching , thank you guys
Definitely on the list of things to add to the arsenal🤘🏼🤘🏼
What I do is I make a slip float rig. It's a bit more work, but works well in deeper lakes as well as slows down the fall of the jig to even slower.
What size float?
Great vid! Recently getting back into fishing after YEARS away from it. Gonna try this for sure! Also....was that brodie smith the ultimate/disc golfer in that last clip?
I suck at fishing but these work. Caught decent sized large mouth, perch, blue gill, rock bass, crappie, and even a pike.
Finally. Quality content. 🙏👍
Rofl!!! FINALLY!??! Really dude.... it's a trout fishing video.... they've put down years of steel heading videos with twice as good content... just stick to stocker trout bud
@@andrewchong1154 I don't fish for trout little Chong. 😅 but I'm trying to learn how to catch the little guys. The 🤣😂
I use the white ones to catch big eating size bluegill's
You teach the same thing in different scenarios and that is just what I need to learn.
great informative video 👍👌.... just ordered these to give them a go in the uk... not seen a uk video using them yet...
cool to see u fish that lake two
nice video - thanks learned a lot
Trout magnet is a gateway drug to bass fishing...mini ned rig
I actually like your videos , so subscribed
Albert Har 🙌
I would go so far as to say that (at least for me) trout magnets are THE best trout bait, corn being a close second.
You should do a video on different line colors and why you use high vis.
Even with braid just push the top of the bobber down just a touch when you move it. It makes it move so much easier.
These things are GREAT. Today my dad took me and my brother fishing in some pool for fishing, and we got nothing. Then this nice guy gave me trout magnet, and I got something right after! No kidding!
Rockstar video thanks for the advice
Thanks
love your videos :)
Great vid
Great video. Seriously.
another good vids dudes
thanks
Man. These things slay it all the time where I live. I don't use a bobber though.
Thanks 🇨🇦👍
I nailed a mess of trout over this past weekend with these while ice fishing. Manufacturer recommends 2 lb test. I used 4 lb fluorocarbon. My buddy used 6lb mono and wasn't nearly as successful. It was easily 4 to 1.
New to trout fishing could use some pointers guys! I’m going to be backpacking through the Sierra Nevada bringing some fishing gear but other than the basic spinner/spoon lures I’m not sure what I should bring with limited space in my pack
cool video braduh....
I'm ew to trout fishing and this video was very helpful! What kind of knots are you using?
That's kress Iake at the end . I was there too .. tight video bro
or try those 1" gulp minnows on a TM jighead = money
Would love to hear your thoughts on Thomas buoyant spoons. Been slaying the trout bite on them this sunmer
Also too it works well on a windy day just let the wind take it you don't have to anything .
Action works better on the retrieve when you clip one of the split tails just a little short and flare the other tail out. Sometimes the trout want an OEM presentation. I get action on my custom craft.
I take a small piece of another old plastic worm, cut a small slice, and thread it onto the hook, so it wedges the tails apart. Works great with a crappie nibble in there too just need to rebait frequently that way.
Gulp minnows work just as good.
NICE VID
the original crappie john told me to just tap your rod between the handle and the first eye you dont get as tired and the bounce works best, just passing it down.
Sweet deal. Looks like filming done at battleground lake and the fishing is at kress lake?
I think so
Good info in your video. I dont fish trout that much anymore, but I stumbled onto a video like yours a couple of years ago. That guy only used the 1/32 or 1/16 oz grub on the line. No bobbers or swivels etc. So i tried his set up bank fishing on a large lake. Holy toledo, i caught a 5lb trout. So im a believer now.
Do u always use a bobber?
I have the kids use these. I can then rigged up fast and they can swap colors all they want. The faster I can get them rigged up and in the water the sooner I can get fishing lol
Amen!
Try a streamer under a float it's kinda the same but instead it's a streamer preferably black
An inspiration🙏🇦🇺
Have you tried the minnow blend bait waxx? I have some and was wondering if it would work? Also have you tried mini trout magnets?
I tie a whooly bugger pattern on the jig head works even better. Havent used the rubber body in yrs.
I know that exact spot, been going there for years that exact same spot
Try jigging with spoons. It is so fun and you get massive strikes. They kill it.
Battleground lake. Aka my back yard :)
Do trout magnets make better bait for trout then power bait?
You can get a barr of hard wax to condition your braid and make it float good!!I think it's called parawax?
