The nice part about the skulkers bonus vs infantry: as goblins, they receive bonus vs large from a tech upgrade. From the scraps, they get the bonus vs infantry. @@DIEGhostfish sorry for the late reply, yes they are more random, they also now have to be fired from the unit, when before it acted like more of a line spell.
Arachnaroks are horrible at fighting even low tier infantry. They are almost solely large entity hunters. Their large size and lack of resistances means they get easily torn up when blobbed around, and though they do have ranged support from the howdah on their back, it's not extremely significant when blobbed up around. That's why the enemy arachnarok didn't do so well. They're meant for hunting big stuff, and you have no big stuff. Just the gobbo tide.
They are, but they're a bit expensive considering that the ai dodges them now. I'm going to go for doom-divers in the next episode as they have homing missiles.
according to Brilliantstupidity, if 1 goblin is worth more than 100 orcs, and one gold is wort more than 100 goblins. one gold is also worth more than 10 000 orcs
I've played a ton of TWW2 but haven't had the chance to play TWW3 yet. The AI seems significantly easier in this game as well as campaign difficulty. Idk how to feel. I thought Skarsnik was supposed to be kind of hard? Seems like the only reason you had any trouble at all was the low reliability --> 10000 wars.
At first TWW3 was really disappointing to me - but since the release of the Immortal Empires beta, I've been loving it. The AI is weird though. It's unpredictable, but it almost seems random and suicidal sometimes. For Skarsnik, battles are somewhat harder than for Grom or the orcs, but the overall campaign is slightly easier now. He can't really make a great doomstack, but the upkeep reduction is massive. Also his starting position is much better than it was in TWW2, if memory serves.
@@BrilliantStupidity Thanks for the reply. I've been watching all the videos you are releasing and they're very entertaining so keep up the good work. I have another question revolving around my previous comment. When does critical mass hit in these TWW3 campaigns. I recall playing a lot of VH/legend campaigns in TWW2 and not being able to afford a second stack until turns 25+ and not hitting 4-5+ stacks until 70-80. By then, the game just becomes very easy and auto-resolving normally dominates most situations. In TWW3 it seems that a lot more stacks get out earlier. Does this result in the steamrolling starting earlier? Or is this indicative of the late game being much tougher since it seems like factions don't confederate as much?
I would say that overall the power curve of the player vs the ai is flatter. The difficulty goes down over time, but generally there isn't a short period where it drops massively, like in TWW2. There are also events that can occur in the late game, which can make campaigns much harder, depending on the settings you choose. It feels much more dynamic and unpredictable in general.

I tried it 3 times in a row on 3 different saved turns and every single time I try to disband those particular orc boyz, my game instantly crashes. The other 2 armies let me disband them with no problem, and even within that one army, I can disband 2 of the units with no issue, but the other 4 cause an instant crash. My plan for the future (my first waagh expired just after the end of this episode) is to save, attempt to disband the orcs in my armies, then leave whichever ones cause the game to crash when I disband them and only use them on AI control.
