The Team Fortress 2 challenge in Payday 2. We're going out with a bang thanks to some of the wackiest rules I've ever used for a challenge. I had a lot of fun playing this one, but as you can see from its length, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Hope you enjoy!

@@CatBurgerFromHellin the comics, Soldier was Merasmus's roommate and ate a bottle of his "Kill Me and Come Back Stronger" pills, as well as I think his heart pills. I don't think it was one of the main comics, I think it was one of the update comics, but I can't remember which one

I can’t wait to see the intel being stolen by John Payday himself.
To Soldier's intellect defence, he has lead poisoning which impairs his mental faculties, however he was also banned from aiding the Americans during WW2 in any of it's military branches due to his lack of intellect long before the lead poisoning, still fought the Germans like a true American even if he wasn't allowed into the military officially, the downside was that the war had already ended and his enemy combatants may or may not have been civilians unbeknownst to the Soldier.
Yeah, I was going to comment something like this too. He somehow found his way to Poland and kept fighting whoever he thought was German until 1949.
There's one catch to his 'fighting the germans'.
He was killing in Poland to several years after the war ended.
He probably murdered an entire town's worth of innocent polish.

Using rocket launchers in PD2 is so underrated. Most players don’t bother due to having no ammo pickup, but making a dedicated Ammo build allows you to go nuts
Speaking of underated; the microgun
750 mag and total ammo
2000 rpm
34 damage per boolet
40ish accuracy
And pretty decent stability
This, mixed with the skill which lets you shoot and run + speed skills means you can run around headshotting everybody at close range and proving that accuracy by volume is the TRUE american way
If you have good aim ammo is never an issue, and it's dps is great, allowing you to stare down a dozer in only 2-3 seconds
It's one downside is the long reload, so just, watch the ammo? I mean, people really, really need to use the microgun more. I've only seen one other person use it and I usually just see boring rifle builds. SMH, not even a single golden .762 full auto DMR in sight online among the dozens of rifle users.
For me I just use microgun, some kinda shield killer as a secondary, with either gambler or muscle alongside the iron man armor while speeding around at the speed of sound carrying 14 FAK's and 2 doctor bags. It's great at taking down crowds, and with only a few points you can make the golden spoon oneshot dozers in a lot of situations
@@Boldcheesecake1029 armor microgun was my first build, than was a dodge flamethrower build, however the best I had in terms of effectiveness was CR805s, other stuff fell off in effectiveness above mayhem
hacker with akimbo cr805’s and the commando is my favorite build ive ever made. its so fun
@@Boldcheesecake1029 oh yeah the Microgun is awesome, I actually combine it with those Ammo skills I mentioned before and the speed/aiming ones you mentioned. Also the one that gives you a 40% reload speed buff after 2 kills (forgot the name but takes the reload from 7.5 seconds to ~5.4). Combine it with Grinder and go nuts, plus have rockets in secondary to fall back on

I'm pretty sure Knowley was referring to Bain, but it could just as easily be referring to Soldier's voice actor, Rick May.
Before looking him up to make sure I got the name right, I'd never seen his face before, or realized that he lived in Seattle, and now I'm pretty sure I sold him about 200 rounds of 5.45x39 once. We just happened to have it on the shelf, and he took as much as he could carry

I've been addicted to these titles lately. RUclips channels like Nerbit, Best Guest, Just Background Noise, and MittenSquad(RIP my guy, alcohol can be a dangerous thing.) have been a large portion of of my watchtime these last three months.
These videos are the best to fall asleep to and rewind in the morning. I can also recommend NGPlus. He has some great challenge videos for classic titles.
If you like the Borderlands series then I recommend 3 more runners who mostly do challenges in those games.

Suggestion: If push comes to shove and you need some more challenge runs, maybe try the post-White House heists under challenge run rules?
I have an idea for a new run :
*Can you beat Payday 2 as a Left 4 Dead Survivor?*
Here’s some ideas for rules :
1. All weapons must be available in Left 4 Dead and used *as they appear* (i.e. Extended-tube folded-stock SPAS, basic M16, base M1911s or Glocks, etc.)
2. Only available grenades are Molotov or Injector
3. Melee weapons are restricted to those available (self-explanatory)
And lastly, the big one :
4. The only available deployable is *ONE* medkit/doctor bag use. *Only one.*
I think having a restricted healing pool would be really interesting. Also, if you want to fit the theme, doing the Halloween heists as a bonus alongside the story is always fun.

A great finale to a great miniseries of challenge run. That 6-Jewellery truck on Transport: Crossroads was insane.
As for any potential challenges for this game, possibly "Can You Beat Payday 2 With Only Special Weapons?" May require some form of RNG to decide which ones you roll with per heist so that you're not just retreading the Robin Hood run, or perhaps incentivising going for each special weapon's unique achievements if they have any (and are feasible in a challenge run).

Something I just recently learned about slaughterhouse: the conveyer belts actually work. You can throw a bag onto one of the conveyer belts and it will actually carry it for you to the end of the belt
15:37 This is the first time I've heard about someone willingly opt into using the Liberty Launcher, the rocket launcher so bad that I'm pretty sure most people forget or don't even realize that it exists.

I think Soldier would probably be on my dream team for a loud heist. Soldier, Demo, Heavy, and Medic. Soldier and Heavy for crowd control, Demo for a mix of crowd control, defense, and blasting open doors and vaults, and the Medic to keep them all topped up. They'd probably be perfect, although Soldier and Demo might not be the best for minimizing civilian casualties, although I suppose the Medic could keep them alive as well.
With all the blood flying around, medic could probably sort something out
Suggestion: For next years April fools "Challenge" Can you beat one full game of TF2 Casual As Dallas Payday 2? (Literally just a game of casual, start to end, playing as a class that "fits" Dallas the most, someone who rambles on and is kind of dumb like Scout or Soldier while changing your steam name to Dallas and having his mask as your pfp in-game)
Every single time just yell in team chat the iconic line when you reach red health

I am once again asking for a "True Heister" run where you use the Lego Studs mod and have to get True Heister on every heist possible in the campaign. This could turn some missions into holdouts, and you might need to do some of those mods where it's like, Murky Station Loud, but I think it could be a fun challenge to not only complete the mission efficiently, but hold out as long as possible.
Theres a lot of good ideas people have made, Gunslinger, Gangster/Mobster, insert idea here...cant wait to maybe see them

Can You Beat Payday 2 as a Gungeoner (new weapons every heist, must get all 4 gungeon masks)
Can You Beat Payday 2 as Metal Gear Solid (double header of an ACTUAL stealth run*, plus a few build ideas for Snake, Raiden, Big Boss, Ocelot, etc.)
Can You Beat Payday 2 if it's Lore-Accurate (only using weapons available at the time of the heist's release on each heist)
Can You Beat Payday 2 as The Joker (using weapons The Joker has used, gas grenades, etc.)
Can You Beat Payday 2 as a Police Officer (using cop weapons, cop masks, etc.)
and finally,
Can You Beat Payday 2 as MERASMUS!? (BONUS DUCKS!!!)
With all the TF2 builds so far, I'd love to see a 4 player TF2 challenge heist run with each player playing a different class. Heavy, Soldier, Demo, and Pyro would cause some incredible mayhem during a heist.
Ngl when I saw you'd uploaded, I immediately thought to myself "Can't wait to see how the corridors look on No Mercy!"... boy that was something. Congrats on finishing the series KKnowley, can't wait for whatever the next one brings.
It'd now be possible to do a Heavy run in payday 3, use the reinfeld, paint it to replicate the stock shotgun in TF2, and focus on kills to call in miniguns.

If you want to play as the TF2 Mercs again, you could do the secret as a 4 Merc squad (completing the story first). Could even make it an MvM challenge with reskins for the cops.
Borderlands 2 themed runs might also be possible! I use the bl2 hud mod and it's pretty cool :D

If heisting result in heist then you must heist! The soldiers speech of perfection hits different when referring to payday 2 heisting definitely my favourite intro.

I've never beat yacht heist, which is one of the reasons I don't try these types of challenges, the fact that kknowley (Yelonkk) can do it first time is amazing to me even if it's not that big a deal

I am so glad you see the utility of feign death aced knowley. I pack it on every build I can because I know how it can give me a shot at redemption, that or just allows me to int even harder on Padyday 2.

Since this run is absolutely filled to the brim with explosions comparable to a micheal bay movie, I wanna bring up the hilarious irony that dozers take extra damage from explosives, despite them wearing EOD suits, which are meant for bomb defusal (though as some who work in EOD suits say, the suit is less of surviving the blast, and more of making sure there’s a body to send home if they accidentally detonate a bomb)

Do a Gordon Freeman challenge run. Your primary has to be an MP5 because that is the most iconic weapon other than the crowbar in HL1 (from what I know). You can use a glock or a revolver for secondary. You need to use a crowbar as a melee.
If not the mp5 the spas would make a good option too. Both are staples in my mind
@@shrap_assassin7625 I wrote an MP5 to make the challenge a bit harder since he would only have 1 option as a primary but MP5 and spas could be useable as well.
Now you've only got to complete payday 2 as Saxton Hale and Merasmus left.
