The only reason I did not buy the 950a is because of that stupid material design. Seriously don't understand what they were thinking, all the demo's in stores looked like they were covered in dandruff.
Yeah, long term the fabric doesn’t hold up. It’s also weird that most of their other bars are a nice plastic finish but they decide to do fabric on their flagship model. So glad they’ve woken up this year.
I recently purchased Q800B soundbar. The upfiring speakers is not working . I tried Netflix with Atmos content. The soundbar display shows Atmos but no sound from Upfiring speakers. I contacted Samsung engineer but they said the sound effect is that much only can expect from this Soundbar. Not sure samsung used the dummy speakers to increase the Speaker numbers.

Well stores should see this very soon as the S95QR just went on LG website today / not for sale as of yet but its on there with specs so ordering should start very soon
I’m wondering wether the new LG Soundbars will still have that incredibly annoying ALWAYS ON display or if they finally managed to let the display turn itself off after some time, it was so distracting when watching content in a darker environment…

I prefer the sound of the Q990B over the JBL 9.1. If you check out my 9.1 review I talk about a way to combat the extra bass. I don't know if it's worth an extra $500. If I was buying one for the first time i'd definitely spend $500 more on the Q990B but since you already have the 9.1 I suppose it depends on if you're happy with the sound or not. If not then I think you'd be happier with the 990B... It's a really great sounding bar.
