It doesn’t matter which one of your kids you work with, you truly look like you enjoy it. It has to be a great feeling seeing how much they have learned about the family business. Congrats Andy.
Andy is so layed back and easy going with his children. So glad to see him doing this.
@ghammond3132absolutely the truth!!! They respect Andy
Andy and Sarah make a great team when they are working together. Great video. You guys, well done, Sarah & Andy.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sarah just makes me smile so her other two sisters so cute these three are
Great job helping your Dad Sarah
First rule of mower is never step on running mower. Everybody knows the rules. Sarah makes me laugh, so exited all the time. Good fix Andy, getting your money's worth out of that mower.
Best regards from Indiana.
I've seen comments about Jered and Sarah having things broken and fixing lots of stuff. You gotta take into consideration that Jared and Sarah probably do more work (hour wise) than everyone else and usually stuck with the harder jobs where equipment is stressed to the max with unfavorable conditions. Id hire either 1 in less than heartbeat but that will never happen because they are such an asset to the Hourgan operation. Keep up the good work Sarah, Jared, Charlotte, Andrew, Alex, Nathan, Andy and all the others who keep that dairy running daily.
Andy she's a farm girl, meaning she is very strong. Can't beat farmer strong , she's a farmer.😊❤
She's very smart. Going to be her farm someday.
Yes you are correct Andy all warning labels should be removed and let stupidity fix itself?🤷♂️😂🤣hell yeah
Andy you are so fortunate to have children that help you.
Doing a great job Sarah awesome to see your dad has trained you so well to do all kinds of jobs. Well done
Andy, you and your wife have raised some amazing and talented youngsters. You can be proud.
Andy, if that 1/2" plate is cracking out like that, you might think about installing a 1" plate. You'll only need to add longer bolts. It won't change anything with the gear box or the stump jumper.
Yes, need to thin the herd of stupid people. Great video as always, cheers :)
Great to see your kids working with you Andy.
Good job Andy and Sarah. Always enjoy your shop projects.
Should have used CAD ( Cardboard Assisted Drawing)
I 100% agree with you, "THIN THE HERD" !!!!!!!!
Very lucky to be working along side one’s father/daughter
Another great video Andy! Sarah is learning from the best! Always great to see the kids working with you.
When a terrible health is making life it self pretty hard, i have to say that there is a lot of medicine in watching all these videos with the Hourigan´s. I just wish all of you knew how much i appreciate these videos! From the bottom of my heart; Thank you so much for making and posting all these videos here on RUclips. ❤
It's just great seeing kids being raised the correct way, out of all the projects you do that's the most important, and the main reason you do all those other projects.👍👍
Better than new Andy and having some help from Darwin on the heard is a good idea. Cheers and thank you!!!!
Hello Andy Sarah enjoyed your video. I had to repair our John Deere mx6. The gear box broke away also reinforced with 1/2 plate. Have a great day.
Always love watching the Girls work with you they can do most any Task you have to do GREAT JOB !!!
Put a new PTO shaft on our baler last year. The first thing I did was remove the government plastic parts. Only to make it easier to grease.
Can't grease it while its running can you.😊
All I could think about when you were talking about that guard was some people do like spinning shinny things. Caught a fish like that one time.
Thanks for another great family video ❤
Looks like it's been done by a professional. Awesome job Andy. Sarah not afraid of getting dirty. Love your shop videos. Keep the action and knowledge coming. You all stay safe!!
Nice job Andy I love working with my daughter as I’m sure you do good stuff
Great job welding Sarah
Those mower decks are always too thin to last. I thought about building a mower to withstand a rock with a 1/4" plate deck with a 3/4" plate for the gear box. The 3/8" braces above the deck would need to allow water to run off. The only I haven't figured out is if the hydraulic can lift the extra weight. Looks like a few trailing wheels are need of work as well.
Yes, that one on left did not look so good!
Good job Andy an Sarah 👍🚜
Another good one Andy KEEP THEM COMING 🐄🌽🚜🇺🇲👍
Might want to check the bearings in the bush hog's left wing wheel. It was wobbling 3 plus inches out of plumb. A pretty nasty wobble.
Go SARAH!!!! You folks do amazing work.
Nice repair job ! Keep “thinning the Herd”!!😂
Another perfect weld job by Sarah that repair will last longer than the bushhog
Very good thing that you are teaching all of children how to do things. Sarah is very smart.
Thank you for the PSA @25:25 "We need the thin the herd folks!"
That rear left wheel has a bit of wobble to it. Lol. Keep up the good work.
Good job Sara 👍
*Lipstick on a hog, funny.
Your thin the herd comment was great! Keep the videos coming Andy!
I’m always impressed by what you guys accomplish! I wish I had even a fraction of the skill!
Thanks for sharing Andy, "good stuff"😊....at least you got your #1 welder on it😊
Good job on the brush hog, Andy and Sarah
if you don't have guard on pto axles in Denmark and the Labor Inspection Authority comes to check. then it costs $1500 in fines for each axle that lacks guards
OL HOSSS HAD 2 LAYERDOWN IN THE CORN CLIBBINS. GOBLESS
Chuck says you only payed 200 for that mag drill-mine is a Fein and I payed just under a grand! Sarah should try some dualshield corewire-it has a tick more ductility than shortarc, runs hot but wets in nice-good for anything over 3/8 thick
Sell bushhog to good ole Dutty from Dutty2029. It's Duffy's long lost Pirate cousin
😂😂😂
On the crop chopper, looking from the rear, the left wheel has a super wobble and on the right dual the outer wheel has a small wobble. You could have put some edge on the blades, saves fuel and/or gains speed.
Good for another 20 years.
STRESSED out but feeling better now!
Looks like some repair jobs alwsys seen to need some extra
Work ..
Hope Sarah welding holds up 😂👍👍👍
Looks like its working ok .
Farm girls rock
Kimball Midwest makes pretty decent rattle can paint. It isn't all that cheap but worth it in my opinion.
The fixing and fabricating videos are the most interesting to me. Is there anything you all can’t fix or fabricate?
"Maybe you are the problem" hahaha I couldn't agree more
Tks for sharing Andy and Sarah. You two do Awesome work together. Your remote drill seems nice. Does it run on 110? Would it work out on a job site? If there is a generator you use? Or does it draw some heavy ampage?
Yes it works off of 110 draws about 12 amps
Great video Andy and Sarah
Thin the herd.. Best quote ever!!!
Awesome drone footage
Andy did u check the other side of the bush hog for cracks or damage ?
Those mower shields would probably help contain a loose driveshaft if a joint let go. A shaft flying around loose at speed could do some serious damage
Thanks.
I think she was glad Jerad helped you lift the stump jumper back on!
Sarah is a role model for her generation. For Boys and Girls!!
I'd deff like to see that other drill soon and see the test u put it through as I am in the market for a drill like that
A little dirt in the paint is true grit !! Nonslip plating
Great video. With the shape of your corn head and the mower I'm wondering if a 6 or 8 row chopping corn head should be considered. Or maybe look into devastators.
Andy, Great Job!! What shape is the other side? Love to see Sarah welding!!
You had some pretty help !
Most of the time it is the women that dose most of the talking, not when dad is around. Great video when you are working with the kids.
Sarah wins the 'Ms. Enthusiastic' award again!! 🤣🤣
Merry Christmas!! 🎅🎄
If the one side was in that condition, it's almost a guarantee that the other side is also. I would have taken it apart for an inspection... but now you know how to repair it when you need to do the other one!
The other side is fine
thinnin the herd...lol....followed by the Homer Simpson burp....classic
I’m always amazed how expensive this equipment is and how poorly it’s made
Yep, it's pretty sad..
It's made to be replaced often ..............shouldn't be , but it is ..........
Poorly it's made? That thing's been around a while and is still quite serviceable. It's covered thousands of acres under the worst of conditions, rocks, roadside garbage, and all manner of crap. I submit its pretty well made. If it was junk, it wouldn't be there.
Like to see the chain as a double safety to prevent wings from potentially falling down
My nephew lost his leg in a PTO shaft on a bale elevator with the guard in place. His boot lace got caught and it went fast!
YOUR THE MAN ANDY I PLAN ON STOPING BY SOON
"Thin the herd" preach it Andy lol
Sarah's wielding is more accurate than your cutting out Andy.
Was wondering why John Deere and other companies put safety shields on equipment if they are not needed. Safety First is a mindset not a requirement. That why they call them accidents!
Idiots only
Because the government makes them put them on. You have to be mighty stupid to get within ten feet of that thing when it's running, let alone on top of it.
Is the fork lift sounding a little bit tired ?? In the field pictures, does one of the hog wheels have a bit of a wobble ??
Good teaching moment let your daughter drill the small holes.
Andy do you ever bail corn stocks for cow roughage or beding.
Great job Andy
Your family has a real fab and weld shop going on there. Very good work and good video. Have a good evening everyone.
Sarah should have slapped it and said, that aight going no where!
Left rear mower tire wobbles!
Great repair job team
My high school son would like more videos
Good job Sarah. Boy gt that runs quiet I could hear it at all.
Hi Andy !
this is a lot a crack , good job !
Goid job Sarah!
Thanks Andy for your time and everybody have a good day ! 🙋♂️
Ah Boss, the back left wheel is gonna fall off.
Nothing wrong with that, teach a skill done by hand and AI will never take it away , did that with our daughter , now living in Portugal working for a virtual company out of Massachusetts and can change the tire for her husband . You are doing good providing the tools for your children success, endorse support for their success even if it means to explore a foreign adventure as a dad it's hard.
Was the other side cracked too? John Deere lawnmower decks do the same thing.
I just noticed at the end of the video the left wheel on the brush hogg looks like it is wabbling a little.
Sarah does great work
I can't even imagine the amount of money u must spend each year on just fixing stuff it must be a lot but makes for great RUclips content hope all is well
What's funny is any comment you get about guards and how to fix things correctly and all of this mechanical advice and all the other nonsense isn't even coming from farmers or mechanics lol...
Nicely done repair. I like that mag drill. I'm going to order one.
Andy your audio is very muffled. I don’t think that’s happened to you before. I just thought I’d do the courtesy and let you know.
Sarah is very strong!
