You gotta give it up for The Rock Ole Anderson ( who was The Rock way before Dwayne Johnson ) because what balls it took to be a hateful grumpy hard headed booker/wrestler who didn’t take crap off anyone and didn’t mind calling you an Ahole to your face in a business full of tuff guys that would kick arse first and take names later ... He truly didn’t give a damn and wasn’t afraid to let you know that he didn’t ... Wresters will not hesitate to tell you he was a prick but on the other hand they will not hesitate to tell you he was a genius at the art of making money He broke in and created some of the greatest characters to ever grace the squared circle and a lot of folks in the industry including Vince Jr. owe him a great debt of gratitude for their careers and opportunities to draw money like the Road Warriors and Hulk Hogan ... thanks ... GOD BLESS !!!

For those who didn't know, Stampede Wrestling (Calgary) was not a fun place. The pay was reasonably decent but as Ole noted Stu was a genuine shooter who liked stretching the new guys, plus the winters were ugly and the territory was huge with towns spread pretty far apart, making travel miserable

It wasn't "shooting" that Stu did. He would take ignorant guys and convince them to let him lock in holds on them. Then he would work the holds. That doesn't take any real skill. A shoot would be forcing the guy into the hold, not just working a hold the guy put himself into.

    • @UnseenEntityMetal

i dont know who you think owen or bret are..stu hart may have been able to handle ole but ole was shoot tough and would hook or shoot on just about anybody he wanted to and it is common knowledge that stu hart was a hooker/shooter as well and would take liberties and all that said i dislike ole w/ a passion im from nc and watched him live and on tv every week but i dont doubt any of this ive seen ole be a dick 1st hand but there's countless stories about stu hart and they ALL sound like this..i dont speak ill of the dead but owen and bret are both workers...neither are known to shoot on anyone and i doubt seriously if stu would have allowed it because if ole had hurt either of them then stampede would have been down baby faces i think stu wouldn't have cared true or not and would have been more concerned w/ business

When someone asks him a question on an interview, if he's written about it in a book, then he gets indignant and often won't answer it because he wants people to buy his books.
