There’s actually a reason why The Bad Guys is set in a world that’s mostly humans except for some few animal exceptions. All these animal stereotypes, wolves being cruel, foxes being sneaky, snakes being double crossers, all of them are not stereotypes of the animal kingdom. Unlike Zootopia, it isn’t a predator and prey situation, it’s a world of humans who stereotype certain animals as “good guys” and “bad guys”, and I like that dynamic!
Zootopia still used the animal and predator stereotypes to talk about racism and such which I didn't get at all until my second watch through a couple months ago. Zootopia is honestly such a great movie. Especially since there's otters in it!🦦😂
There’s also the connection that all of the animal characters were/are villains. The “Bad Guys” are criminals blooming into goodness, Diana WAS a criminal and changed and Marmalade is a criminal pretending to be good.
What if they do exist in the same world but their just in two different cities. Imagine if Nick and Judy go to the Bad Guys city and some how end up running into them
On the original books all characters were animals, so I wonder why the change. Either way, sill a lovable movie. And one minor detail I like very much, at the end of the movie when the compound explodes, you can see the snake tasting the explosion wave, or that was my interpretation of it.
"This looks like Pulp Fiction." That's because that entire opening until after they rob the bank is a complete recreation of that specific scene in Pulp Fiction style-wise, down to the camera angle. They really did their homework, lol.
Good idea, you should watch Klaus. It's gonna be the holiday season soon and it's an amazing movie with a really cool animation style that looks 3D even though it's 2D. Trust me.
When I saw this, I did my first movie review on TikTok and gave this one a 9.5 out of 10. This movie was incredible and I highly recommended it to everyone:
This was this director's first film he lead. I'm glad it did well, shame it isn't talked about on YT very much. Because it was a solid film, it's a simple script, but all the changes had great dynamic with each other! Also, that beginning scene was about 4.5 minutes and completely uncut! One of the longest uncut scenes in media history!
Dreamworks was basically formed by dislike of disney. A crossover between a disney and dreamworks franchise will never happen. dreamworks likes to movk disney every chance they get.
Oh, how fun! I LITERALLY just watched this movie yesterday and enjoyed the hell out of it! I loved the near realistic dialogue between the characters and the twist was expected but still fun to watch.
This feature has some of the best animation. I specifically went to see this because DreamWorks announced that they would be making their tech open source which is huge. Also there's a bunch of influences taken from the anime Lupin III.
grew up reading the books here in Australia where they were made and sold. fav childhoods books, love that something australian is getting such massive attention from the entire world 😊
Fun fact! The person who plays wolf is the same person who played Justin hammer and snake is Marc Maron who played Gene Ufland in joker. Diane is also domino.
This was so much better than I had expected. My 8 yr old loves the books so he was very excited. And as the parent who has to watch these I laughed out loud several times. One of the better animated movies in my opinion
This was a love letter to Lupin the 3rd. The cop is a 1 to 1 nod to Inspector Zenigata. The car chase where she dodged the bus was a reference to The Fuma Conspiracy where Zenigata did the same thing.
I absolutely love this movie. I've seen it at least 15 times already, which I rarely ever rewatch movies, much less than many times. I hope you did see the mid-credits scene at least, since it wasn't shown during this video.
I'm surprised that you're doing the reaction by yourself. This film is a fun one. I wish that we had gotten merch in U.S. stores for this. Sad that Sing 2 got merch here, but only on Amazon and this film didn't.
2:56 It looks real thanks to ray tracing. In the 2006 movie Cars, the makers had to use ray traced reflections to make the cars feel more a part of the world.
This film was pretty similar to Megamind in a good way. This was definitely a refreshing Dreamworks film and far more experimental than any of their previous films.
I’d LOVE if you would react/watch, if you haven’t, A Knight’s Tale (2001). It’s my favorite movie of all time and it’s a perfect sit down kinda movie. With a cast of Heath Ledger, Paul Bettany, Alan Tudyk and so many more amazing actors it’s a must watch!
@ReelRejects I AM SOOO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!! YOU FINALLY REACTED TO THE MOVIE I WANTED YOU TO REACT TO!!! YES!!! 👊👊👊😭🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I am now content*sighs* im glad you enjoyed it Greg and I loved your comments and reactions to this movie 😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣 I can't wait to see what else you do man also if you can I hope you can do a reaction video to the movie Treasure Planet and Hunchback of Notre Dame when you can and like I said before, maybe you can start a Disney reaction playlist? 🤷🤷🤷 Might get you a lot of views!!!!! 😁😁😁😁😎😎😎👍👊
Speaking of which, *Spoiler below for anyone who doesn’t know the ending* . I was genuinely surprised at how they didn’t do the “all is well and forgiven” cliche at the end, and actually had them turn themselves in and take responsibility for their past actions. Made me appreciate the film more.
@Reelrejects just saw this movie on Netflix! Since Christmas is around the corner, I'm recommending Krampus (Christmas themed film with legit scares) and the 2019 animated film Klaus because, and yes i know it's problematic, I get a kick out of seeing Greg cry)
What are the odds that we would have 2 movies with evil guinea pig antagonists and Marc Maron in the same year? As for Richard Ayode, check out the IT Crowd to see how funny he can be.
Honestly.. I love this movie! I used to watch it every day and I watched it on my birthday in April 20th!! I love this channel and I love the Bad Guys!
when I worked at the movies I would tease about the title. when a parent would buy tickets to see the movie I would ask the parent which child wants to learn to be The Bad Guy?
Spies in disguise, chip n Dale, and Ron's gone wrong... yea I know they are cartoons but it's good! The first time I kinda noticed a change, was Disney's frozen part 1 only. I was like 😳😲 edit: ohhh also the Mitchell's vs. The machines!
I still think Zootopia is a way better movie especially since it's all animals in that one, but this was good too, especially that scene where he was wagging his tail for the first time! Aww! I was hoping there'd be some other animal that was an otter, but apparently not lol
Honestly I feel like the true meaning of this is a bit relatable. They never asked to be these types of groups of criminals but based on how they were born made people just judged them only on how they look.
I've heard of this movie and seen the poster not the trailer. The bad guys characters are cool like wolf and web. I love wolfs phiranas sharks and snakes but not spiders. Snakes Slytherin are meant to be evil backstabbers, love wolf and fox. Yes i thought that from beginning that snake was a double agent like he was befriending the bad guinea pig and to help his real friends

Have you seen Ryan's pitch meeting for She hulk.
Where's the reaction to Chucky episode 5? It was actually a great episode unlike last week's
yeah i like the bad guys because the bad guys is a great furry movie and also furries like it owo💕👍😇

I…I don’t know how I didn’t draw this conclusion lol

Hats off to everyone who worked on this film and all the characters were animated amazingly
🙌 Need more movies in this eye-candy-of-an-animation style 🙌

It’s based on graphic novels! My daughters love the books-and we ❤ the movie!! So cute.
Honestly, a Zootopia/Bad Guys crossover would be pretty good. Nick and Wolf would probably get along really well.
I kinda feel judy would have a hearth attack knowing they all were criminals
It couldn’t happen though because of humans existing in the bad guys
@@OJAddictAnd also cuz only two of the main characters (and villain) are mammals OvO
Dreamworks was basically formed by dislike of disney. A crossover between a disney and dreamworks franchise will never happen.
dreamworks likes to movk disney every chance they get.
Or a Sing/The Bad Guys crossover, because they’re made by Universal.
“They’re bad guys but they’re a family”
You were pretty spot on about that, the gang have a very strong sibling-like bond
Oh, how fun! I LITERALLY just watched this movie yesterday and enjoyed the hell out of it! I loved the near realistic dialogue between the characters and the twist was expected but still fun to watch.

Mr Wolf’s growl at around 20:00 gives me chills everytime… amazing performance
The fact that he guessed it was Sam Rockwell and he was right was way too smooth
grew up reading the books here in Australia where they were made and sold. fav childhoods books, love that something australian is getting such massive attention from the entire world 😊
My best friend actually gave me the poster for this movie from the theater he worked at. I have it framed in my college apartment room now
Fun fact! The person who plays wolf is the same person who played Justin hammer and snake is Marc Maron who played Gene Ufland in joker. Diane is also domino.
You missed a last scene when they out of the jail 1 year later.
This was so much better than I had expected. My 8 yr old loves the books so he was very excited. And as the parent who has to watch these I laughed out loud several times. One of the better animated movies in my opinion
I recommend surfs up, it’s such a heartfelt story from beginning to end with incredible voice work. (Only watch if you haven’t already of course)
I took my little brother to see this movie in theaters and I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but it was so much better than I thought it would be!
This was a love letter to Lupin the 3rd. The cop is a 1 to 1 nod to Inspector Zenigata. The car chase where she dodged the bus was a reference to The Fuma Conspiracy where Zenigata did the same thing.
Probably my favorite animated movie of 2022 was pretty decent .
The storyboarding in this movie is absolutely wonderful, and it shows.
I literally just saw this one last night on Netflix, and I really enjoyed this one, I loved how it had this Pulp Fiction/Ocean's Eleven vibe to it
This movie was very funny and it was a lot of fun to watch, Great Reaction

I rented it last year fell in love with the movie straight classic and fresh of breathe air for that animation movie.
Was not expecting the Les Brown quote ❤. Fun movie. New to the channel love y’all’s commentary.
I was thinking the same thing about the voices while watching this......then I thought I heard Justin Hammer from Iron Man 2 come from Wolf LMAO
2:56 It looks real thanks to ray tracing. In the 2006 movie Cars, the makers had to use ray traced reflections to make the cars feel more a part of the world.
“the cake 😢… THE CAKE 😩” 😂😂
I think this is the best driving scene I’ve seen in animation. Hopefully there is more driving scenes like this.
It's cool that you can watch it on Netflix now.
Watched this with animator friends and we were cheering like it was the world cup at this animation style bahahah
I really enjoyed this when I first saw it. I too fear snakes in the toilet, not common here in the UK but it’s happened enough for it to be valid 😂
This film was pretty similar to Megamind in a good way. This was definitely a refreshing Dreamworks film and far more experimental than any of their previous films.
Just watched both Terrifyer movies. Definitely a top 3 for a certain type of list 😳. Would love to see you and John cover them at some point!
Apparently the beginning car chase scene was inspired by Lupin the Third
I watched this movie twice one with a homie the 2nd with my dad and sis really enjoyed the movie especially the lupin the 3rd references
@ReelRejects

When Wolf saves the kitty...😭😭 my heart
when the news said they broke into our hearts it def did for u
I really loved this movie especially the twist in the end
Speaking of which,
*Spoiler below for anyone who doesn’t know the ending* .
I was genuinely surprised at how they didn’t do the “all is well and forgiven” cliche at the end, and actually had them turn themselves in and take responsibility for their past actions.
Made me appreciate the film more.
This movie is like a mix of Lupin the third and Sly Cooper.
@Reelrejects just saw this movie on Netflix! Since Christmas is around the corner, I'm recommending Krampus (Christmas themed film with legit scares) and the 2019 animated film Klaus because, and yes i know it's problematic, I get a kick out of seeing Greg cry)
Great movie
Main Cast:
Sam Rockwell:Wolf
Marc Maron:Snake
Akwafina:Tarantula
Craig Robinson:Shark
Anthony Ramos:Piranha
I hope you watched the actual ending when they get out of prison
Glad you liked it I always try and guess voices too. That's a whole lotta guinea pigs 🤣🤣 cuter than I expected!!
“The Good Life….or John?”
I LOST IT
A movie I can watch forever...
What are the odds that we would have 2 movies with evil guinea pig antagonists and Marc Maron in the same year? As for Richard Ayode, check out the IT Crowd to see how funny he can be.
Honestly, probably the best movie of the year!
👍
Honestly.. I love this movie! I used to watch it every day and I watched it on my birthday in April 20th!! I love this channel and I love the Bad Guys!
I watched this just last week. It was awesome!
Snake dude is Hunter S. Thompson? HES A GODDAMN DOCTOR OF JOURNALISM
You should watch Lupin III : the first
The Animation kinda reminds me of Spider-Man Into the Spider Verse and The Mitchells
when I worked at the movies I would tease about the title. when a parent would buy tickets to see the movie I would ask the parent which child wants to learn to be The Bad Guy?
I'd love to hear your commentary on Mallrats, An underrated film that aged well and is honestly my favorite Kevin Smith film.
I didn’t expect them to blame crimson paw’s crime on them on top of everything else that had just happened but it was great😂
Amazing movie man
No, masterpiece...
Coincidentally I watched it for the first time Last Night and it’s really a Good DreamWorks Animated Film
Such a fun movie great animation and a lot of vary funny moments
I highly recommend The Hunchback Of Notre Dame 1996
I love how bro saved the best parts
17:14 That's amazing, I got the same combination on my luggage!
20:00 I don't know why Shark didn't like grab him, he was right there
One of my favorite movies of the year
Spies in disguise, chip n Dale, and Ron's gone wrong... yea I know they are cartoons but it's good! The first time I kinda noticed a change, was Disney's frozen part 1 only. I was like 😳😲 edit: ohhh also the Mitchell's vs. The machines!
If Lupin III was an actual wolf XD
Richard Ayoade was also in the IT crowd.
Interesting how Wolf was wearing a sheep costume
We need the reel rejects crossover with the new Rockstars break room
You and John need to react to Eight Legged Freaks! Love the vids man!❤️🔥
This movie was baby's first " Ocean's 11"
You forgot the after credits scene.
That's what I was thinking
I've always thought that the animation for this movie kinda resembles Studio Trigger's works
If you are a Sam Rockwell fan you have to watch Mr. Right, I mean I was blown away to how funny and surprisingly awesome it was.
Nice! I just watched this film last night.
I absolutely love Ponyo you should watch it. I've seen little to no reactions to that movie. Studio ghibli movies have a special place in my heart.
I still think Zootopia is a way better movie especially since it's all animals in that one, but this was good too, especially that scene where he was wagging his tail for the first time! Aww! I was hoping there'd be some other animal that was an otter, but apparently not lol
10:03 Hungarians,Croatians And Serbians When Watching How Mr Wolf Had An Pants Naked!
10:02
Honestly I feel like the true meaning of this is a bit relatable.
They never asked to be these types of groups of criminals but based on how they were born made people just judged them only on how they look.
1:31 he’s right cake rules!
YOU should definitely watch, “The Mask” starring Jim Carrey!! Hilarious movie, great story and the comedy is just PERFECT!!
My friend did the title track for this film! You should check them out! Can't Stop Won't Stop for the win!
You should probably read the books it make you more familiar with the movie and other future bad guys movie’s
Go Greg go!
Every wolf is a dog who doesn't know it yet
Oh no,you missed the ending credit scene
I love The Bad Guys! It’s such a good movie!
There are after credits and they are actually really good
Movie request- The Internship ( Starting Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn ) ❤️ Really Good and Funny Movie
bro you didn't see the part where the bad guys get out of jail at the end of the film
You should react to Monsters vs Aliens 😆
Could you do rise of the guardians for Christmas?
Bad guys came out in the same year or around the same time and made eternals look small for a live action movie😂😂😂👌🏾🔥
