I don't like this one. It's too far outside the normal solutions. How were we supposed to know what the blue acceptor on the tower did? How were we even supposed to know it's there in the first place? It looks grey from the ground unlike every other one in the game. The connector at the top of the tower js also pretty much impossible to see. I spent an hour combing every detail of the tower to see if there was something there and I found nothing. I feel like you just have to stumble into the solution for this instead of actually being able to work it out like everything else in this game. I didn't want to have to look this up, but I was stuck and didn't want to move on. I'm glad I gave up because I never would have found that by myself.
Its funny because i had steps 1, the blue reciever hooked up, and step 3, the bonus connector ready to connect to the statue, but if it wasnt for this video i never would have kept at the tower. The cursor sensitivity is so precise, i scoured it for the tower connector after hitting the blue reciever and never found it. So its both the one i found the most of myself yet also the one id have never finished w/o a video to say no, you were not crazy, there is a connector up there too
Totally agree, you took the words out of my mouth! I'm on PS5 and wondered if PC players both have better sensitivity to SCOUR the tower for connectors (that you can’t see) and/or have better or higher level zoom?
Just now made this star on PC. In fact, the photo mode helps a lot in such hard puzzles, I just flew up to the tower and eventually saw both the acceptor and the connector. And then connecting to the upper connector is no longer a problem. By the way, I never found the last connector in the 3rd puzzle, so I just went to 7 and took the connector outside of it :)@@Nunya.Bidness
Wow, I did it so differently. You can take out the connector out from the level, and then use laser from the puzzle next to this. was sure this is the right solution, I see the blue on the tower just after this and think is for something else. Happy i find it out now and not after 5 Horus circle just to realise i already did it
I solved it in a different way, but I wanted to know if there was actually a "legit" way. I took the connector from 3 out via jumping and then connected that one to a red beam coming out from one of the optional levels which was very close to level 3, and also connected it with the pandora box of course. I NEVER saw the receptors in the tower.
Not my favorite. Running around this huge map trying to figure it out was annoying, and that sneaky connector in 3 just seems unfair. Plus, I had no idea what the blue receptacle did, it was too far away.
Same thing. The worst was that I was thinking in 3 "Damn, from here I have a clear view to the red switch. Wish I had a connector, but there was none needed here.". Also the antenna you get out with the blue switch is way too slow or rather with the view rather blocked I didnt notice it at all.
I ended up removing the connector from the third puzzle (placing a box on the ledge behind the finish and jumping out) and connecting Pandora to a puzzle on the bottom level. Luckily one of the puzzles on the bottom level had a red emitter!
My best guess is that the blue receptacle made the transmitter for the red laser raise out of the tower.... but that's such a bad mechanic. You can't even see it, so how can you know it exists. I love the game, but they tried to change so much to make it fresh that you just feel like some things were better in the first game.
I found the connector in (3) but couldnt find a red source to connect, so came to this video. Was about to watch it, but then just read your comment and you mentioning a hidden blue receptor made me find it on the tower, so thanks :D
Found another way. You can steal an inverter from puzzle 7 "Above" by jumping from the ledge where the two platforms on rails are, and place it between the blue connector in 2 and the red gate at pandora's statue. I didnt even realize there was a node at the top of the tower for Red lol
@@SuperJuddNelsonaye same here. I think a lot of people will have likely solved it this way given that it is quite easy to steal that inverter and the blue laser by that other puzzle close to the pandora tower makes you think you need one as well.
I did this too lol, glad to know I’m not the only one. Spent hours running around trying to solve this and finally looked up how to do it the ‘correct’ way
I did the similar way, only there is no any jumping from the ledge is needed. There are small windows in 7th through which you can steal anything from 7. I did steal the inverter and reflector, and used only reflector - connected 2 and the statue.
I did not even notice what the blue light on the tower does. If you dont see it pop-up, which is miles away and hard to see, its just another part of the tower that does not stand out in any way tbh.
It's funny because i did it another way, i didnt even connect anything to the tower, you can grab some objects out of level 6 and just connect any red to it from the top. i know its a cheese but well fuck this garbage
OMG THANK YOU. 🙏 I somehow spotted the blue receiver but absolutely no clue what it was meant to do when activated. This game really does not like people that don’t have super human vision.
Синий активатор я нашел и соединил с синим источником, но что после этого на башне появилась антенна я не смог разглядеть, хоть и прошел вокруг башни несколько кругов. Видимо решение этой звезды только для людей с идеальным зрением.
Well this is definitely not how I did it. I never found the connector for the red beam on the tower (and never worked out what the blue activator did up there), so I ended up breaking a connector from 7 and running it from the red source in 7 directly to the monument by placing it on the lip of the pit. Probably actually quicker to achieve than wandering round the map doing it the intended way.
Same here, I managed to get one connector out of bounds and liked it directly. I knew it had something to do with the blue at the top and the intended solution is much more clean haha
Thanks for the video. The first 2 seconds of the video gave me enough hint on how to do this star, that was the only one remaining for me. By the way, you can do both beams from the first stage you visited; no need for the lost puzzle.
I missed that sneaky connector in 3 and could not figure this one out, thank you for sharing this! In the process I also realised you can connect to the central tower from almost every single puzzle, including the ones at the bottom as there are connectors in the lower part of the tower too. All the connectors in the tower (I found 3, including the big antenna that you raise here) are connected, so if you ignore the Pandora puzzle and channel blue instead of red, you're actually able to cheese a couple of the lower levels as you can just grab blue from the tower instead of the puzzle itself. Could be a neat speedrun trick. I also noticed that the tower has no collisions, so you can connect to the antenna or the big blue receptor from the other side of the tower. For example in the second secret puzzle (not the one in the video), you can walk on the antigrav wall and connect to the blue receptor on the tower, even though it is technically on the other side of the tower. Probably a bug.
Huh! I didn't even know there was anything on that tower. I was able to activate the Pandora statue, though. I was able to jailbreak a connector from the lost puzzle, Transfer. Then connect it to the red light in the same puzzle (Indirectly. Had to use another connector inside the level.) from the big sand dune behind the level to the Pandora statue.
Lol, i took connector out of one of bottom puzzles (the one with two parallel moving platforms), moved up with the connector using a lift and just connected tower to the statue. I thought It's the correct solution, since I couldnt find that sneaky connector in Dismantling at all
By the time I got to this one I was just done with the running around and squinting at everything. I don't know how anyone could see that blue connector way up there and even if you see it how the heck do you see what it does? Even with the zoom you just can't see that well. Maybe with a top of the line rig but for us regular slobs with nothing fancy machines it's just too much. This game seemed to be trying to be too much at times. The first was way better but this had some good parts too.
Worst one I encountered to be honest, very obscure needing multiple puzzles and a hidden item in a puzzle. Most others made sense where the items would have to be or where to get the beam from. Oh well. Thanks for this guide at least.
I'm going to be honest, Athena is consistently the worst of these. Most of them just end up being obscure pixel hunts. This is the worst so far, spot the receiver half a mile up the tower, then you get the fun part of finding a laser that can target the connector, then find a connector in the walled in corner of a puzzle that has no connectors in the solution. Oh, I'll be fair and mention that the wall is one that open as you solve the puzzle so you could have seen it on your way out, but if you manage to miss it opening, which is very possible if you're looking at the device you use to solve the puzzle which directs your vision. They probably should have had the table(fire?) you interact with at the end of Dismantling have the revealed connector more in view, since with this one I had not a single clue. Again, thanks for the clean and well labeled solutions.
That hidden connector in "dismantling" is such bull****. And totally not in line with how the solutions for pandora stars (or the out-of-puzzle stuff in talos 1) had been "established".
I used the red source in the northern optional puzzle. I just missed the connector... I was like 3 times at the doors of Dismantle and turned around because THERE WAS NO CONNECTOR INVOLVED IN THE PUZZLE, RIGHT? RRRRIGHT?!!!!
Hey people. I've been stuck on this one for a while, and from the little of comments I've seen, it seems pretty... bad. Is it one of those "you won't find it without looking it up", or rather a "the solution is annoying but you can figure it out given enough time" ?
I smuggled the connector from #3 out of the map with a timed jump off the box, then I walked up close to the entrance of puzzle #4 and connected to the connector there. This one was easily the most annoying one by far. I never knew there was a blue receiver on the central tower or that it gave a static connector.
Lol I just stole the connector from puzzle 3 and I used it to connect with a red laser from another puzzle in the hole around the tower. I never even realized there were these things at the top of the tower.
In "Convolution" (where you connected the red source to the antenna), you can also set up the blue source there directly. Then head to 3 and connect the red source with Pandora. Saves a little bit of walking as you don't need to go to 2 first.
You can connect the fold out connector on the tower with a red beam from Puzzle 2 too. There are 3 connectors in puzzle 2. One for blue to tower and the other two for the red beam. So no need to go the bonus puzzle. But that hidden connector in 3 is bullshit (and the reason why I had to search for the solution)
I found connector 3 but had no idea what to do with it. I ignored it and snuck a connector out from one of the bottom levels. Connected it to a red beam from the bottom and that was that

The pixel hunting in south 2 is also insane. At least in my solution I had to use a gravshifter on a surface that was hidden by leaves lol

True, the puzzle design is unfair, aking to the old school pixel hunting. The pieces should have been telehraphed better.
