      With all due respect, he’s a bedroom guitar player that got lucky. Everybody outgrows him for a reason - he doesn’t really learn anything new, interesting. Nor does he have any creativity left in him. This from a die-hard Metallica fan

    Smart man. He said "I'm still learning that stuff." When we stop learning that's bad. No matter how good you are, you can always improve. Wanting to learn is what makes him a great guitar player. He's already a top guitarist and he wants to learn more. Great outlook in life.

    This man is very humble to admit he's still learning and getting inspired by other guitarists, I've seen some interviews where guitarists aren't so humble lol

    after all these years I still listen to BoG more than any other Hendrix record. Just a fantastic guitar album.

      Yes. It also makes you realise what a troll Eddie Van Halen could be (in the nicest possible way). He never gave Jimi credit, but so much of EVH's sound, style and content came from Band of Gypsies

    Good to hear he mentioned Schenker.... one of my all time favorites. I don't often hear guitarists mentioning him.

    He's so passionate about it he sounds like he's about to cry. Metallica was saved the day he joined, especially with cliff gone a few years later and dave long gone, he was the lone virtuoso in the band. Plus he wrote the biggest riff in the band's career, Enter Sandman.

    In 1985 from my hard-earned cash I have bought the Band of gypsies record. It was the only record the store had from Jimi.(Hungary stores didn't had a great selection those times) So I heard this song before Hey Joe. Sweet memories of youth.❤ And I also still learning those stuff.😊
