    Excellent Matt! Only thing I would do is add some lighter green marks around the chips....where the paint was scratched not removed. Perfect timed upload for a post dinner watch here in NZ!

    What confuses people is the "G" model of the 47 which was built by Curtiss and never left the US. {which Trumpeter bases its colors on}. Their interior and wheel well green matched and was very different than Republic. Meanwhile Republic's interior green stayed the same from Razor to bubble. Wheel wells as you know are Yellow chromate. But once a 47 went in for updates and overhaul then whatever was available, US or RAF stock, including black and light gray was used in the ETO from pit to wells. In the PTO a light blue gray was used as to not absorb as much of the unrelenting sun. Fading was a bit more harsh in the PTO{sun sand}, leather was often replaced by canvas{control stick,tailwheel}, except on the gunsight. Not to be a rivet counter but those rudder pedals are wrong for a Razorback. Those are late bubble top, D-40 and "N" version. Looks good, I'm enjoying your build process and techniques.

    A lot of airframe components were made by vendors (ie Curtis may not have stamped the wing ribs out) so the chromate colors were all over the place. One airframe would have had a mix of yellow and green chromate dipped components, even in one assy. Not something to obsess over.

    Dissapointed in the lack of queso and salsa in this video.

    Great video Matt, but may I ask.. why did you use Mr Color over Mr Hobby??

      @DoogsModels  5 лет назад +1

      Mr Hobby is basically unavailable here in the US. Have to order single jars on eBay. So I have like...five.

      @@NigelsModellingBench easily purchased over on Ebay in the UK (that's where I'm based) I went over to Mr colour due to a far better and tougher finish.

      Mr Color in New Zealand can be a pain to get. Found a good supplier on ebay out of HK with free shipping and the price per jar is a reasonable amount cheaper.

    Did you use hairspray under the Mr colour coat? I'm a little shocked that worked, so I just want to confirm that before trying it.
    Many thanks
