The steel was so smooth, there was no need for any fillers.
Those diamond sanding disks feather porcelain like paint. It’s actually quite amazing.

Your old link is not working.
I just had an old epoxy tub today that took me 3 hours to strip. It was the kind of strip where I strip off the first layer and then there’s this yellow residue left on the tub afterwards which then has to be sanded anyways. Not sure if that’s a residue from the epoxy or if it’s a primer they used back in the day.
Remove the tub from the tub then make a new one....Got it.
