I'm in Colorado. I have learned soo much. Plus, watching Escape to the Country. I have learned so much about the geography and some history of the UK! Thanks!
Ian seems like a lovely guy. At first I thought I wouldn't like him much, but it turns out to be the opposite. I think he's great and would be glad to call him a friend. He seems sincere. I hope he is enjoying his new place!
I think there's a bit of harshness being shown towards Ian. Why? He seems to me like a straightforward man who has found the activity he wants to make his life enjoyable -- some people travel, some people write symphonies, some people make gardens -- is it because it's 4x4s he loves that he's viewed askance? Don't forget how front-of-mind he holds his friends, too. This is just a lovely, slightly eccentric, warm-natured man looking for property that will suit his lifestyle. He's not looking for a garage for his crap, he's looking for suitable space for him to enjoy himself with his favourite occupation. Yes, and I much like Rogan and Jane and wish them every joy, of course. This is such a special series, and we're privileged to get a view of people's lives at such a crucial point. Bless 'em all, the long and the short and the tall.
These were three very nice regular people...no delusions of grandeur, no snotty superior entitled attitudes...just three people looking for a home and space to be happy.
thanks for eccentric characters and a couple who laughs together! 30 years from now- these 2 "buyers" will still be upbeat and enjoying life on their terms own terms. thanks for such optimist shows !Keeps me going in the Unitrd States! Love the views- great of Scotland- great photography thanks again
Oh!!!!!!!!! A NEW EPISODE!!!! I'm so HAPPY! Thank You so so so much!!! As I never tire of saying (because TRUE), THESE MAKE MY DAY!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
(8:58) Oh!!! Look at Kirstie! She looks so pretty here, with her hair up ... and Phil's blue and grey match the background city of Edinburgh. I do love these two.
Location Location Location S18 aired in 2012. My how prices have gone up. I have friends who bought in West Lothian before prices skyrocked. I think they paid 350K for 2 bed/small garden, but its already worth more.
Phil certainly wasn't sticking to the "minimal stairs" condition with that last house. But, apparently, it wasn't that important after all. I would be concerned how it goes in a few years though with his degenerative condition.
@M.Campbell... would you really be concerned about his knees in a couple of years??... I 'd say by now you've completely forgotten all about them.. silly comment..
These people (like most) are shackled by all the crap they own. "I need a massive garage for my crap." "I need bedrooms big enough for my crap." Have a garage sale and get rid of all your stuff! I've lost two houses to hurricane and a career move and had to sell or give up almost everything twice. All your things could be lost to floor or fire or storm. Stop holding on to so many THINGS!
I too have lost everything twice. Most of the time it takes losing everything to show someone that there is a huge difference in "want" and "need". Learning that is the reward you get for losing everything. You discover that it wasn't that important after all.
I lost everything 15 times! I now live on the street naked with absolutely nothing! I’m only on the internet because I stole some guys phone so it’s not mine!!!!! Beat that, grandma!
Not everyone feels the same as you do, if he is happy with all his crap as you call it, what's it to you? He enjoys working on cars, why should he stop that just because you think he should?
Call me old fashion, I don't understand why couples get pregnant before they get married. Don't they know about birth control? Did the woman decide it was a good way to get the man to marry her?
What century do you come from? Why get married? So many people don't anymore, and I don't see why it's such a big deal for some people that they don't get married. Maybe she just wanted to have a baby, end of.
I think that’s harsh and unfair - he’s good looking and incredibly positive and smart with an easy going disposition. Great to see a person with passion and interests …
I love it when everyone has a happy ending on these shows!
Yay! A new episode, thank you! Ian sure got a substantial property for his budget, good for him. All such nice people.
Being in the US, I like seeing the settings (countryside, towns, architecture, etc.).

Same here, in Wisconsin! ❤
Really good people and sweet outcomes. Didn't know real estate could be so uplifting.

Wonderful buyers. I am so happy for all of them.

Hm, I didn't pick up on that. I really like Ian.
Totally, I really liked him, such a great guy with a great energy!
I really like Ian, you described him well. I think Kirstie liked him, too. They were actually flirting at the beginning, I thought.
Yes, I picked up on that, too!!

Ian is dead charming. My heart be still!
Happy for both sets of buyers, yay!
These were three very nice regular people...no delusions of grandeur, no snotty superior entitled attitudes...just three people looking for a home and space to be happy.
Very nice couple. I hope they enjoy their home for many years to come. And as well the gentleman. Nice episode
I’m so pleased for all the buyers who would have really struggled without the help of Phil and Kirsty ❤

I hope that they re-visit Ian again. What lovely people.
They did! :)

🇺🇦 Дякую вам за чудове відео! Прекрасна пара, я радію, що вони вибрали новий просторий будинок.
😍😍😍😍😍😍
❤love this show! Could you release more please?😊
Or some UK Love it or List it with Phil and Kirstie.. the best of all the LIOLI
@@BritGirlJay YES ! That's how I first got to "know" Kirstie and Phil -- LIOLI
House #2 was very nice but as a new family with a new baby great job on #3.
Great episode. Happy for both parties!
Really enjoyed this episode!
I LOVE KIRSTY! oh, and Phil you are great too!!
Excellent episode!!!
Ian looks like a sweet man ❤
I haven't heard any mention of stair lifts when stairs are moaned about.
Certainly is a mixed bag! Maybe that's what keeps me watching

This actually aired in 2015.
Ian makes Yoda noises and it makes me love him all the more.
Long-term parking at Lambert is now $23/day, so I am definitely driving you when you fly for your Hawaiian adventure.
The Burdiehouse property is only 1000 square feet? It looks very big, but that's small. Confusing.
1000 sq ft in Scotland is pretty good size.
What year was this video recorded???? The prices are the double now 🙄
Find a garage build apt. On top or beside it.
I wish there was a "where are they now" about these 3!!!
Phil certainly wasn't sticking to the "minimal stairs" condition with that last house. But, apparently, it wasn't that important after all. I would be concerned how it goes in a few years though with his degenerative condition.
it doesn't have to be a forever home, just something for the babies early years.
The British have an odd aversion to bungalows so I guess it was going to be a two-story wherever this couple bought.
@M.Campbell... would you really be concerned about his knees in a couple of years??... I 'd say by now you've completely forgotten all about them.. silly comment..
This was June 2015. No way you'd get those prices in 2024 and i live in South Edinburgh
It feels like 4 walls…..yeah!! Its a house,!!!….
are those 2023 prices?
I was surprised to see these prices. Unfortunately this episode from August 2015!!! They should have put it in the description.
@@MrIlya007 thanks for the clarification - that makes much more sense

If Ian bought #3, he'd have bedrooms for his friends to sleep over in when they came to visit
I would not want clients coming all the into my home and upstairs. It just doesnt seem a good separation of private and professional
maybe they can do up the garage?
Luckily it's not your house so...
Old from 2012

She did well to get pregnant. She must be pushing 50
That man probably buys something new because he can’t find an existing one in that mess.
Call me old fashion, I don't understand why couples get pregnant before they get married. Don't they know about birth control? Did the woman decide it was a good way to get the man to marry her?
Um….you’re kidding me, right? They’re an older couple and you’re talking about birth control as if they’re in their early 20s lol.
Many people choose to have children without being married. I doubt she did it for entrapment. We are in 2023.
@@thehungrygoldfishYeah I think probably 40+ too old for a baby

@@s6schaI agree but at that point it’s probably something they wanted to do as opposed of it being an “accident.”

I thought he was a really nice, kind hearted man who had a hobby he loved. I bet he would make a wonderful partner to someone.
