I'm so pleased that the lovely older couple, Sheila and Jason, have found their new home... surrounded by family and loved ones in the end. Truly deserving.
As for Sue, with hubby and moggies being dragged through her demands kaliedoscope, you attract what you put out. Stress and inflexibility... begets further stress. Please, take NOTE how the lovely couple put out... and received.
As for poor battle weary Phil? YOU, dear sir, deserve a medal the size of a sewer plate.... for tolerance and patience, above and beyond the call of human capability, in dealing with the likes of Sue. Much admiration Phil... a virtual hug being sent to you. There, there Phil. Sue is NOT your fault.
Yes! Send those two back to Australia! 😅 Too bad they can’t afford what they want here.
She probably is never happy with anything Life throws her way !!! Imagine making your sister live in a shed - sister probably put her house on the market to be rid of these two...LOL
Could not have said it any better
@@mom-ys9sb Truly, the sister did not look happy. It looks like they made themselves comfortable in HER house and did not appreciate the sacrifice her sister made on their behalf.
Phil gets nominated for sainthood on this one.
Brother, these people are NOT with the program at all! Poor Phil !!
There's another "c" word and wasn't thinking about compromise
Tsk tsk !! LOL@@cherylcomparato6200
Kirsty should have had that couple...there would have been fireworks!
@@pearlsherriesamuel1242 Yes, Kirstie doesn't take s--t off anyone when they are being stupid and stubborn. There's a disadvantage to being a gentleman. A woman doesn't have to be a gentleman. Kirstie could probably square away that awful woman.
Indeed. . .Phil should be automatically made a Saint!! On this one, after little Miss I'm Not Going to Compromise was perfectly ok with her sister's willingness to compromise and sleep in a shed, maybe homelessness would have been a good teachable, not to mention humbling moment! Insufferable. She was already fortunate in having the money making possible the purchase of a home and having choices! She needs to volunteer in a homeless shelter, although that would require her to
compromise. . . . . . . . . . . .
Bingo !!
I am sure Australia was saddened at Sue's departure :) What a ghastly mood hoover she is! The other couple were lovely!!
What a great phrase! And yeah it's not easy to get used to a smaller space but she will have to if their budget can't stretch. Or live elsewhere where it's cheaper and maybe more rural (like Welsh borders or further North). Kirstie's couple were lovely.
Agreed. But! They discounted the one because it wasn't in the area they want, so they're not going further out. Sad. Maybe they should just move back to Oz@@BritGirlJay
😂😂😂😂😂
Yes, Shelia was so positive and made a massive compromise over the garden because they could get the other 80%. Sue on the other hand - I shake my head...
@@BritGirlJay :) Neither the good people of the Welsh Borders or those further North deserve to be landed with that Sue!!!
I've watched endless episodes of this show, and this is the first time I've seen Phil so obviously irritated. Sue will never be happy. The first clue she was going to be trouble was that she was ok with her sister living in a "renovated" shed for nine months so that she and Alan didn't have to compromise on the house they bought.
the sister should have let them sleep in the shed, may be they would have bought a house sooner !!
@@bleumarin1968 Ha ha, I thought the same thing. After a few months in the shed, they would have thought every house Phil showed them was huge.
@@forestfields not only huge, but perfect !! Couldn't believe how they were changing their minds every houses they were (or weren't for that matter !) viewing... I don't know how Phil is that patient with people like this
The sister finally decided to sell the place; to get rid of her sister.
@@nancyn347 🤣😂🤣😂
That moment the cat walked with Kirsty and the older couple as they left that house: so sweet!
Sheila and Jason, just an adorable loving couple, but that Sue doll is some piece of work. My heart went out to poor Phil but he remained the perfect gentleman, love the program so much.
I just love this program....I get to see the beautiful home of the UK and beyond I get to watch Krist and Phil banter and laugh. What's not to love!!
Jeez, Phil, you deserve an extended holiday.
My goodness, I would just let Alan and Sue fend for themselves! There is no pleasing them!
Right on !!
They are BOTH acting like SPOILED LITTLE BRATS.
Sheila n Jason were beautiful in every sense and i wish them a long healthy life.....😊😊❤
They were delightful
That smug smirk that Sue has when she says 'no' makes it look like she's deliberately baiting Phil.
She is a horror...those poor cats!
Thanks God they're not kids !!!@@louisewarner8169
I am astounded I cannot believe the attitude of that woman from Australia. I would think she would have been ashamed to have this full public I don't blame her sister for selling the house how else is she going to get rid of them
Sorry to say I had the same thought about her sister. 😬
Agree she wasn't nice at all!
I thought that too 😄
Newsflash to the Aussie couple: If they can't afford a ready made house in their ideal location, what makes them think that they can afford to build their ideal house in their ideal location?
During the land search, planning and building, they'll be paying rent for a long time. So their budget for a new home will be much smaller, unless they can talk another relative to move into a shed and loaning them their house. 😂
Sue isn't bothered because she's not paying rent while her poor system has to live in her own shed!
she aint an aussie, shes as british as they come sadly.
What a fantastic first couple! Could someone please ship the 2nd couple back to Australia? What miserable people - wouldn't want them as neighbours.
For someone who was so terribly homesick I find it odd that Sue didn't remember how different homes are in the UK from Oz.
I can see why that Sue’s sister is selling up - wants rid of her entitled stuck up sister and her door mat of a husband
I've no idea how Phil kept his patience with that xxxxxxxx women.
Thanks Kirstie and Phil 🔮 You 2 are a HOOT and I adore you and your shows🪷
Absolutely!!! They are such a joy to watch. I love seeing so much of the English cities and countryside through
their program. Thank you both indeed!!
How lovely Sheila and Jason were! I'm really glad they chose that lovely house and I hope they made the garden work for them.
I'm so happy for Sheila and Jason! Such a lovely couple.... As for the other couple, one of them is a spoiled brat that is very much used to getting her own way. Not much of a happy life with so much strife, but I think that she's addicted to creating obstacles.
Lol, that's one way of getting out of the shed, sell the house.
I wouldn't have my dog sleep in a shed, let alone my sister.
@AFAskygoddess
If your choice was to be alone in the converted (they did mention) shed or in the house with sister Sue... you'd then pick? Yep, we'd all choose the converted shed.
That is one kind sister!
And sis owns the house! If it was for a short time, that's one thing but these two should start renting.
Was probably the only way to get them to leave. They should have rented if they were decent people.
Alan and Sue have got to be the top contender for Worst Couple on Location x3. Annoying, entitled, and gross. Royal taste on a pauper budget. Why did Phil apologize?!
No, I think the worst couple was Sarah and Ian with the million dollar budget. Sue and Allan did end up finding a home, eventually lol.
@@thehungrygoldfishOh, which épisode was that? I vaguely remember it.
They should have stayed in Australia!
All the houses look lovely and spacious. Nothing a little renovation can't fix if the house is right. Sheila and Jason are so lucky to find a home to grow old together. A tiled garden is not as calming as a green garden but it can be done up and the house seems clean. 😊😊
Congrats Sheila & Jason. The Aussie couple are just mad and need to go back down under
The older couple are so lovely, shame about the other two
Phil is always so professional and sets a high standard in his line of work. It was quite obvious that this couple was being unrealistic for their price range. It just seemed like they were wasting his time. Instead of compromising, they became pickier as they saw more houses. It was annoying when they said all the houses they’ve lived in for 30 years were new builds. Clearly that’s a new criteria that wasn’t previously mentioned.
I have watched you from the very first video! You are awesome and you owe no one an explanation of who you were 10 years ago or how much you pay for anything! I support you 100%. Always know you are the best part of The Pethericks channel. Don’t get me wrong I love all of you guys on the channel, but you are why I watch! Keep up the awesome work. I support all The Pethericks. I love Sadie and Michael’s channel as well. Much love from me in America! Keep being awesome!
Can't believe that Sue and Alan wouldn't even go into house 2...
It’s happened a handful of times. Funnily enough, I think all of them were with Phil. Poor Phil lol.
That Sue is a real piece of work...and I think that she knows that she's the problem of why they can't find a house...and it's as if she thinks that it's all a big joke
I know! I wanted to see it! Sue can’t help being who she is….her own worst enemy!
Who goes on a TV programme to find a house then won't even view😏....and who lets her own sister live in a shed while she lived in the sisters house! Wow ! 😯
What a pain the woman is who lived in Australia 😖
"Sue" is certainly a demanding piece of work. I'm surprised her cats haven't run away.... yet.
I agree . She was doing my head in
I would be suggesting maybe they return to Australia
Couldn’t agree more
She was unbearable.
PS Shall we all have a whip-round and pay for Sue to go back to Australia?!! Their loss at having her back would be a massive gain for us. Her only redeeming feature is that she likes cats.
Sue is a real Meghan Markel. What a nasty malevolent piece of work she is.
Not the best criteria in a human ??!!
Bahahahaha, absolutely!
If they want safety. for their cats do what most do, never let them outside.
The place that backed up to a golf court would've had so much space for an enclosed catio. Keeps the cats safe and entertained, and the wildlife safe from cats.
@@arsridendiAnd keep the cats safe from wildlife.
Cats climb and get through small spaces so its rather impossible to keep them contained unless they are elderly.
Bless Phil, you have the patience of a saint! How many boxes can that woman pull out of a hat when she's been shown so many viable options.
The boxes never seemed to end. At the last house, which seemed to fit all their prior criteria, he suddenly threw Ascot (Ascot!! Good luck with that on their money) into the mix, and she was this close to saying that the narrow staircase made the place unacceptable.
I've had cats for over 40 years and live near a main road. Constant traffic deters cats but living on a very quiet lane can catch them out if a speeding car gets them. What a stupid woman. Get a house with a back garden and fence a large area for the cats to be out in. A very difficult woman to please I would imagine, poor husband!
I agree totally !! A Diva from Down Under !!
Lovely couple kirsty got and the house is beautiful 😍 ❤
What do the couple back from Australia need all the space for? Am I missing something 😂
She wants to impress people.
What a sour faced woman….
@@AFAskygoddess she is so irritating. It’s not as if they have grandchildren or a big family to begin with.
She is probably a hoarder.
Phil's first house has real potential. I love the double fronted design. The living room and dining room are both beautiful. The downstairs family bath is not ideal, but livable. The footprint of the ground floor, if you include the conservatory, is quite large. Build out the first floor to match that. You have the floor space to create a nice en suite bath for the master bedroom. Eliminating that little en suite makes the back bedroom a nice size. Put a jack and Jill bath over the area that is now the conservatory makes both secondary bedrooms accessible to the bathroom. That means the downstairs bath becomes a 2 piece cloakroom. There would be space to open up where the bath is, along with the two little storage areas to make the kitchen cooking area much larger. The kitchen dining area moves in the space that is currently the conservatory. There is even likely space for a small snug sitting area as part of the kitchen, while still having the, to me, necessary formal dining room and drawing room.
Hats off to Phil for keeping his shit together with these people because I sure wouldn't have. How rude to not even go in when he had spent time and effort to find them a home. They were terrible to work with, constantly changing their idea of what they wanted.
You don't have to compromise IF you have the right budget. Are people that daft?
I watch these shows for the beautiful landscapes of the UK. The thatched roofs are also intriguing.
Thank you for the upload. You're consistent and that's why I subscribed.
What a sour person that Sue is, homesick in Australia and not willing to be happy in England, god, poor guy married to her, at least Phil can walk away........some people cannot be pleased I guess.
Seems like !!
Siempre digo que Phil es un profesional , nunca pierde su compostura, ese tipo de parejas son tan común que piden mucho y NO TIENEN DINERO se nota demasiado 🤷🏻♀️
Cats are safer indoors. That said, we had an indoor outdoor cat and live on a very busy intersection and the cat was fine. We transitioned our current cat to be indoors and he's very happy.
There's something seriously wrong when the cats needs are the top priority. Astounding! Cats rule!
Plus the cats would've been fine compromising with a large catio outside. @@dianeandrews6764
Cats don't need to be outside. They're a menace to the birds.
@@dianeandrews6764Even if there were no cats, nothing would satisfy Sue.
My cat doesn’t go outside, 18 years old and only wants to be 10 feet away from food and other modern conveniences. 😂
Did Alan and Sue build a house? Was it perfect? Or weren't they able to find a contractor after all the contractors watched this show?
Funnily enough, they bought a fixer upper. They rented in a specific area, fell in love with the area and bought a house in the area, and did extensive renovations on it to get the house they want.
@@thehungrygoldfish Was that shown in another episode or how did you get this info?
@@arsridendiYes they did an update on them. I don’t have time to stalk people 😂
That poor sister of that horrible women!
I'm sure Sue's sister sold her house because she had enough of her sister squatting her house for 9 months.
That Sue is a nightmare 🙄
If Sue & Allan owned that house in Australia, I'm sure it was 3M. Wondering why they only have 450k to buy a new house? I felt bad for Phil. And she's so rude "NO" !!! I liked the 2nd couple.
I live in America in a new build with large rooms and open plan. I am always amazed at all the doors in older English houses. I know it is for heating.
The us is much bigger and newer than the uk, hon. No duh the houses are smaller and older in the uk.
It is for heating but also because these small houses used to be home to extended family such as grandparents and aunts/uncles over the centuries and doors were needed for separate spaces. I’m a British Canadian and once procured a great house for friends who emigrated to Canada and they remodeled and put up walls and doors throughout the house!
I live in Canada which has a lot of similar houses, but I have never liked open plans. I _love_ doors and walls. It comes from having grown up in a house where there was no privacy at all.
Personally, open plan is my worst nightmare. When I'm cooking a large meal I do not want people underfoot. When I'm serving a 5 or 6 coarse meal I most definitely do not want my guests seeing the mess in the kitchen, because there is no way I am washing dishes between courses. Plus I love having a formal dining room as well as a more formal reception room, rather like rooms that used to be known as drawing rooms.
@@thehungrygoldfish Calm down, goof.
In-sue-fferable.
How long ago was this filmed? The prices are so low for now!

I think she should do us all a favour a fly back to Auz.
Sue's like a kid stuck on "no"! Maybe the sis will need to take back her house to get Sue to make compromises!🤔😅🐈😊
I get the sense that the couple who didn't buy maybe, emotionally, were still in Australia and regretting their move.
fussy/ :( Happy for the nice couple.
Alan and Sue's problem is, they didn't tell Phil what they really wanted. In fact, I'm not sure they even knew. That is fine, it happens, but watching them finding fault after fault with each viewing, even refusing to look inside one house, makes really frustrating TV.
Oh, Sue knew what she wanted. She wanted to plop her Australian house in England. Alan was a bit less fussy but he still wanted to plop an Australian house right near a pub.
It is difficult to find a sprawling Australian riviera villa in the English countryside. Right Phil?
I think that's what they were expecting ! OOPS !!
Sue can't afford what she wants in the UK.
I already feel sorry for Sue and hubby's future neighbors. She's a Karen cat mom and he creates noise pollution. 😅
I'll bet Australia's relieved they've left ....
I guess location really is everything, becuase the first houses each of the couples saw I thought should have been valued reversed! The 295,000 pound house was WAY better than the 419,950 one!!
*Edit*
I'm glad the older couple decided on that first house and got it! They are a nice couple.
For the Aussie couple, that 3rd house which is a bungalow had everything, a beautiful layout, turnkey, curb appeal, and great price. What more did they want? It's not like you go drink with the buddies every day. I would pick that house, it was nicely done.
Sadly that 1 awful lady spoiled the show...😢
The older couple 💑 made up for her! They got a very lovely new home!!!
Sue needs to buy a lot of land and build her own home!
Honestly wondered at times if Sue and Henpecked Husband decided to be on Location Location Location as a wind up with no intentions of purchasing a home. It's rare that I've been as irritated by a contestant as I was by her. That twisted up mouth that was ever evident as she found fault with home after home was almost too much to watch. I can't believe they wouldn't even go inside one house!
I couldn't agree more!
And that awful forced laugh 😩
Goodness me Sue is hard work!
First episode I'm not finishing. Cat lady is too much.
Wow! Cats adapt!
I couldn't deal with people like them!
For cats you'd make someone's life hell?
She would.
I don't think Sue needs cats to make anyone's life hell. She is impossible.
I have a friend, a single widow, still working in her late 60s who struggled to find a rental for herself and her dog a couple of years ago. She passed on some great suites closer to her work because they didn't take animals. She finally found a place 1/2 an hour's drive from her work. 3 months later her dog died. Now because of the outrageous rental prices and inventory, she is stuck where she is.
She has a very disgruntled (unhappy) face ...@@lysem4392
She should keep her cats inside where they're safe, and not worry about the road.
Loved the Oakley bungalow and the Lagersal house.
Charmer, Phil. Beautiful England.
Buying a home for your cats, seriously that couple gave me a headache.
The first proprty with the lovely brick house had a bit of a front garden and lots of room around the front of the garage that could be fence off for the dogs etc...
I can't even watch this whole episode. I hope Alan and Sue swing by and read these comments, because Sue, you're a thoroughly unreasonable person, to a point that isn't funny at all. If you were a prospective client I'd never take you on, and I've taken on some fussy, fussy people. But they've been people who actually knew their own minds and wanted to get something done. You're one of these people who thinks that if they just go in the garden and eat worms Daddy will be a long to pick them up and comfort them and give them everything they wanted plus a lolly. Just no.
I am watching from Philippines. I really love this program
Sue thought the struggle rather fun, she ends up empty handed.
Those front and back gardens could grow a lot of vegies. :D
Alan and Sue... Run a mile if you see them! No wonder Her sister (obviously downtrodden by her) lived in the shed in the garden, and sold her gaffe to get away from them!
Sounds like Sue came back from Aus with ideas of grandeur! I think they should go back. What a couple of fussy fussies!
If that woman is actually concerned about the safety of her cats, she should keep them inside. I find her extremely irritating.
Horrible condescendant woman! 😱 She looks like Anna Wintour (and surprisingly I guess Anna is nicer! ) I almost feel sorry for her! Bless Phil ❤
she was homesick, she said, so they returned to England, but home was really Australia. what a confused couple.
They should have stayed in oz
The Australian couple wanted their old house!
If they were responsible cat owners they wouldn't be letting their little felines go outside. The statistics are unequivocal that indoor cats have a lifespan that is triple that of cats who are allowed outside. Not to mention how brutal domestic cats are on the bird population.
I've never held any views on cats (pro or con) until I read that they kill 2.4 billion - with a "b" - birds each year in the United States. Source is the American Bird Conservancy, but some sources put the figure as high as 4 billion.
If they want anything bigger surely they would have to up their budget?
I think the impossible duo was trying to replicate what they had in Australia in their mind, that's why none of the houses ever quite fit. It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
You're being very generous to them !!!
Had to come to the comments to see what people were saying about the 'returnees '
Watching these I always think Kirstie and Phil should switch to the others’ clients. I always think of this
I HATE people who let the cats go outside. It's INSANE. God Bless Phil for dealing with these 2 a@@@@@@s.

This is the first time that a couple on this show have made me so irritated, I almost turned it off. I didn't but poor Phil❤
I could never do this job- people r just impossible......................
first couple: find a place to rent or a hotel. good luck when your money is gone, too late to wake up then, eh? wow, how special are they>? By the way, cats should be in a catico or something. British were first to realize they are killers and they jump fences with ease.
One couple finds a home and the other couple is still looking in 2024. 🤣
How about keeping the cats INSIDE!!! Like most of considerate cat owners would do...
I'm sure your neighbors would appreciate that too... Who wants to have cats pooping all over their vegetable garden????
