RACE START Monza 8 hour enduro first stint Feb 2024

Fun second outing for us at the 2024 8 hour endurance race at Monza Karting in CT. Raced with my team - Hellcats! Proud of all of us.
If you have tips for me, at this track or in general, let me know in the comments.
I struggled the most with knowing what traffic to "let by" if they were much faster, vs, which people I should be racing more aggressively. Unlike a car race where you can tell which cars and drivers are around you, in the karts you never know, because everyone looks alike, and you don't have mirrors! I never quite figured this out, so I probably left the door open too many times. We also don't know the guys we're racing against, which makes for a very tricky time on track.
After the 8 hours, we finished 10th or 11th (can't remember) out of about 14 teams. Great effort, but mistakes and lack of experience cost us in the end. Can't wait for next year.

Doing a 20 min session is bad enough on this track. I couldn't imagine doing an 8hr endurance race. Looks like fun tho!
