Outstanding series! I grew up with Sears, Roebuck catalogs explaining “Good, Better, Best” for lots of their products. I think it made me a better consumer, and I’m sure your series is doing the same for your viewers. Not just for the products you review, but for everything we buy.

I have a Henley I bought 40 years ago at Eddie Bauer when most of their line was made in the US. It’s a little ratty around the cuffs and neck but it’s still going strong!

Hi - Henley On Thames is pronounced Henley on “Temms” - and that makes no sense to me either, and I’m a Brit!
And your piece was excellent, as usual 🤩

I have a henley from Merz B. Schwannan and it's definitely worth the money; my only criticism is the slightly scoop neck which I'm not crazy about. My favorite is from Pherrow's. While the buttons are not mother of pearl, it is made of heavy gauge loop wheel cotton and most importantly crew neck.

    • @kongengorm3360

Merz is where it's at. The loopwheel aspect makes it worth it for me.

Great timing. I loved Eddie Bauer henley shirts but they change the fit and style every year and i am now at the point of no longer considering them. They used to be great for my barrel chested shape. Ill check these out once the EBs wear out.

Here, your philosophy is pragmatic. Kind of “workwear vs workwear fashion.” In other vids, i.e., indigo belts and $1k+ boots, the fashion part dominates. I think your audience appreciates both aspects of your reviews - I sure do. (Still waiting on Weatherwool. Probably December, huh?)

Now hear me out. If you are actually going to be working in these, I'm talking roofing, yard work, cutting down trees, etc. Hanes Beefy-T Henley and Dickies Henley's have performed excellently. Fit and finish can be iffy but I've worn mine once a week for 7ish years and am just now having to replace a couple them. Crazy I know lol.

my favorite henley is one from LVC, its got linen weaved into it if i understand correctly, rarer than anything ive ever seen for a mass produced item, Jake from Almostvintagestyle shows it off every now and then, he could explain it better. If i could find something identical to it I'd buy 7 for every day of the week!

I don't know much about shirts, but I have what I think is a Henley shirt that my dad used to own.
Its 100% cotton from St John's Bay, but after wearing it for seven years I've really worn it out. 😅
Been looking for something to replace it, but at this point I'm wondering whether I should try and
    find someone to "repair" it.
I hadn't seen anything like it on their site in terms of look, and while I find it hard to discern texture
from their pictures, it doesn't look like any of their featured henleys match it.
