love this format!! also, at the end of the episode you should say which album is next, so we can listen to it before hand!! (like book club)
love this idea!
omg i second this
Would be awesome to hear the songs they're gonna listen to aswell so I could compare notes while listening to a new episode
I love that idea, makes it semi-interactive
Yea, I love this
Don't worry about the music drought, Peggy promised that he'd release 3 albums this year and he's only released 2 so far so the third is definitely coming out tomorrow
he liedddd 😭💀
he postponing it til 2024, kinda happy tbh cuz i really think he's on a different level after LP! and i really wanna hear a proper follow up where peggy takes his time.
@@antneziac i just saw his tweet about that now and yeah i agree. would rather him take his time with it than rush it out incomplete for a deadline.
not danny peeking over from behind the couch 😭😭😭
WRAAAA IM SO HAPPY YOU TWO HAVE A PODCAST TOGETHER!!!! omg i cant wait for more episodes!
I give this podcast a 5⭐/5⭐
Finally I'll learn about what good music is.
this is fucking sick, im really excited to see mika and aztros music tastes in detail. this is the return of mika’s music of the day!
im so in love with the background and all the details?? the podcast overall is amazing im obsessed w it
the background and the visual part of the podcast is super addicting to watch. i cant take my eyes off the details and stuff. good stuff!
Never even listened to danny brown but this is hype, cant wait for this to like become part of my routine
Pls do hes goat
Yes, please do. He's one of a kind and awesome
one of the best rappers period
This podcast is awesome I'm gonna use it as like an actual bookclub where I listen to the album first and then listen to the podcast it's rlly fun
sick format :) i would love to see an episode where you guys both go over albums you'd deem as 10/10's
the animation is so cute and addictive
OMG I can't believe this is the first album you reviewed!! I love Danny Brown and Quaranta!!! This podcast was great and I loved hearing your opinions on him and his new album! Great first episode and I can't wait for more of the podcast! My only input is that I think that tantor fits just fine and is the best song on the album. "Got a Mexican homie named Chinese Mike" 🔥🔥 plus the music video is great
this makes me want to make a music podcast with my friends now
There should totally be instagram/youtube community polls about what album to review next
i love when i find myself watching something because of the people not the content. i don’t listen to a lot of music outside of my niche taste but i think i could listen to alex and astrid talk about anything for ever. love the pod!!
i love this podcast sm it’s so cute 😭 i love you guys and i hope you guys do this for a while i’ll be peeping in regularly
my favorite part of the sdp podcasts were when you guys would talk about music. Im very excited to see where this podcast goes
Next episode Alex should show Astrid Lahai to convince her that Sampha is a real person
This is genuinely gonna be my favorite podcast, I love both of you so much❤
THIS IS COOL! can't wait for more episodes, mbv and bjork and mc ride in the background so goated!!! awesome to see some danny brown appreciation
this might be my favourite album of 2023
Mika and Astro are my favorite sleep deprived members and I’m so excited to see we’re this podcast goes
I would recommend you guys check out Cop Shoot Cop for industrial, especially the song Any Day Now and the album its on. The lead singer of that band also made the band Firewater which is a mix of folk/rock/R&B and the album The Golden Hour is really good, definitely the song Three-Legged Dog, along with their cover album Songs We Should Have Wrote which has covers with very unique spins and their rendition of Paint It Black is awesome.
You can never listen to too much music💯 I wouldn’t have listened to this album cause I just usually don’t explore rap that much myself, but I did to prepare for this and I really liked it
such a nice vibe, this is my new homework podcast
love this
i'd love to hear yall top albums of the year
i already can't get enough of this podcast, u got me hooked >_< love the vibes and just ur chemistry together, keep it up!!!
I absolutely love this already
I love all the references on the shelves
This is so cool dude! I love music! And art- which of the style is amazing!
New Goon material just dropped😍😍
my favourite Gooner and Goonette
THIS IS THE BEST PODCAST EVER I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT UPLOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it would be funn if veiwers could send in albums they like and have you two like critique them. Like some sort of segment where you make assumptions about someone based on their fav album or summin.
Quaranta rocks, it's a really cool album! I've been listening to Chaos Now by Jean Dawson a LOT and I love pretty much every song on the album, highly recommend it.
Absolutely amazing work from the both of you! I look forward to future posts!❤
2 of my fav content creators talking bout one of my fav artists this podcast is perfect
this is more about the background but i love the chameleon in the bottom left on the shelf, i just thought that was kinda nice lol
So excited for this podcast! I just got a piano after 2 years of guitar, 3 of ukulele, and 10 of singing I want to start producing and can't wait for more stuff!
depressing harsh noise is so cool listening rn
I've only joked in the comments so far, but a genuine recommendation I have is the Colors album by Unusual Demont not quite sure if its much of an Aztro thing but Mika might like it, Unusual Demont is not at all a popular artist so I understand if you guys don't wanna.
Edit: Actually considering Aztros references to Vanoss gaming in Sleep deprived videos she might actually know more about it than i think.
The first episode and an apology video coming alright? Amazing.
Listening to this was the best possible way to start the new year. Thank you for the great vibes
Best podcast ever
Great first episode! By the way, Quelle Chris is pronounced "Kwell-ay" haha. His discog is fantastic and worth diving more into!
i really like this format and how it's just you two sharing your opinions and views about this album, it's a great first episode! also i can definitely relate to what alex said about not knowing how to express yourself through words and to be honest, that's why i'm not able to properly say what i thougt but to put it simply, i'm really happy that alex and astrid have such a good pod together now!
I don't nor do I plan to actively venture beyond my music circle, so the podcasts vibe to me is like eavesdropping on two people talking in a cafe. I like it tho 👍
Loving this chill vibe and I love when people talk about music as much as I love listening
Man this episode was great! Would be an absolute crowd hit if y'all gave a listen to some CAR SEAT HEADREST though.
I saw the kurt cobain and loveless on the shelf and knew that I have to listen to this podcast! plus you two were my favorites from sleep deprived (don't tell "schlatt")
I broke my ankle while listening to this Podcast, Love it!
Fell asleep to this, hope the watch hours come thru 🔥💯
I wasn’t going to listen to this podcast because I’m not really a music person but the way you both put so much thought into the songs and show off your passion for music made me love this
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
This is gonna be such an awesome podcast, considering i love music so much this can open up new new songs to listen to!!
Love this, happy 2024 ❤️❤️
10/10 podcast, listened to it on spotify! they are such a great duo :)
My favorite album of the year, thank you for the episode. Really cool animation & art style
i shat myself
Fun fact: the name of this album is actually a reference to Miles Davis’ hit song(s) “Four”
[I have never heard of Danny Brown]
Would yall ever plan on having polls for what album yall would review next?
Love the stuff!!
You guys should review/talk about J Dilla's Donuts, thanks 🙏🙏
You guys should totally check out Gezebelle Gaburgably! She is one of my favourite Alternative/Indie musician to date. Feels like Astrid would like it! Especially Happy Smile
i will be listening to every episode 🫡
I think Tantor fits really well in the context of the albums concept. QUARANTA sets up what the album will go into, kinda like how United In Grief sets up the story of Mr Morale while N95 is the start of the story. Tantor is a representation of him before going sober and showing the crazy of his prior life, ending with the “user disconnected from the channel” showing him leaving that and transitioning to the more introspective parts of the album and his journey.
This episode was awesome. I can't wait to see what comes from this podcast! I also think it would be interesting if you went over your own personal favorite albums in a similar style.
DUUUDDDEEEE I LOVE THIS ALBUM AND I LOVE YALL
i like the idea of this podcast i like getting album and music recommendations
this pod will be huge in a year 💯
Here before this channel hits a thousand subs! RAHHHHHHHH

Dont know much about music, but i like listening to people talk about stuff. Also kinda cool me and mika have the same name.

I LOVE THIS CANT WSIT FOR NEXT EP

I like this podcast.
I really like this album
Also review older albums as well like tpab, IGOR, Ok computer
Like to hear your guys thoughts on this albums! ❤
probably the millionth person to say this but it feels weird hearing it not end with bababooey or game over
idk if y'all would listen to recommendations or anything. but i would love to hear what you think about 93696 by Liturgy! it's a super cool transcendental black metal LP.
Idk if transcendel bm is the right genre, tbh it reminds me a lot more of bands like chat pile, but it's definitely a pretty unique sound
@@Txvolv240 liturgy themselves have described it as transcendental bm.
oh yell yeah
1 fucking hour?????? dayum
Love the concept of these videos, maybe leave a timestamp of all the songs you are reviewing in the album so we the listeners can listen to each song before checking your thoughts about it! Like how the first song in the album yall are talking about "Quaranta" at 12:02
You both need to listen to The Hybrid and catch up on his albums since.
You guys should check out Maps by Billy Woods & producer Kenny Segal, that was definitely my favorite hip hop album of 2023
I'd love to see you guys listen to any of Patricia Taxxon's work. The Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe is my favorite! I'd also recommend TECHDOG 1-7 if you have the time.
INDIANAPOLIS MENTIONED BBRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
