To be specific about the traffic lights. Amber, on its own, means its about to turn red. Amber about to turn green is actually red AND amber. The sequence is Red: Stop Red & amber: Prepare to go Green: Go, if clear Amber: Stop, if safe to do so
They have lovely scenic roads there. Not sure if you can practice the manual transmission on the sofa. I find the problem is not the shifting but to find the bite point of the clutch. Oh, and in England they don't call it gas but petrol. This is important as there are gas powered cars, even if rare. If you should hire a gas powered car you need to plan ahead a little more as not every petrol station has gas and there are different types of gas, CNG and LPG.
