who ever is mixing this they deserve a pay raise.
The same people who worked on the Hardwired album are doing the mixing and mastering for the recordings of all of the North American tour dates.
Yeah they just mailed all 5th members that.
I think they never put on youtube the real quality mixes, they are reserved for the live CDs that they sell from each show on their website. But they are makin exeptions rigth now
I agree! the guitars are more defined than on the record. I guess thats the compression that is added. I can clearly hear both individual guitars even when the play the same rhythm.
in that case I hope we get Spit on one of those dates. it needs to be heard in this quality

He has played it like that every time except for once...I am wondering if he is playing like that on purpose..otherwise Lars would have told him by now to figure it out..I don't think they care.
In Brazil he played wrong, in Chile he played it properly so I will assume he is fucking it up from time to time.

No, its not SOTB comment. I just want to thank Metallica for writing songs like Halo On Fire in 2016 and performing it. It's Legendary band noone would ever reach. It's GIvness of God, even if i don't have faith in him) They and their music is so beautiful and powerful you can't imagine any other band doing this better than Metallica does

You guys literally blew my mind and I can't wait for the next show. Nothing Else Matters bought tears to my eyes. The reason is my father passed away two years ago, and while he didn't like you guys too much, he loved how much I love you. Nothing Else Matters now is my tribute song for my Father and rarely does a day go by where I do not listen to it, tear up, and think of of all the great times I had w/ him in a short 23 years. I know it may be a lot to ask, but if possible, at Boston, could you guys play Nothing Else Matters for my father, Alan Villmann. I know he's looking down on me happy as could be I am spending my night listening to you guys rock! Thanks so much!!!

Actually,about the drum sound,Lars is using triggers on the snare and the bass drums.You can see in this video the trigger on the snare.And the bass drums also sound similar with a lot of click,which is hard to get from an acoustic only drum.But it's not a bad thing because it sounds great and his snare doesn't sound like a tin can anymore.
i can't see any triggers, and the snare and bass drums sound natural..lars's clicky drum sound is around here since ...and justice, when there were no triggers

When they show the snare in the video,you can see a little clamp on the ring of the snare on the left side.This is a trigger.But there is also a mic so he uses a mix of a trigger and mic sound
This is mixed so incredibly well... the clarity in the drums.. the power.. the roundness of the bass guitar.. James clear as hell in the left and Kirk ripping in the right.. the mix just rules

And finally the snare of lars wasn't dry and mixed with reverb...the kick was able to hear it well and clear and the hi-hat too...guitars had the tone of the album and the bass was fine too...for me was the best fuckin' mix ever in a metallica concert since 2009...FUCK YEAH
