Yes me too
Oh man, me three. 58 and remember being blown away at a party by this sound. Got up the next morning and took a bus to buy Kill ‘Em All - never looked back. Thanks Ace G for the introduction.

Mine two, just bought 3 tickets to watch them in Chicago August 11th 2024, year from now with my twin boys 14.😉👏👍❤️🥰🤘🤘🤘

I refuse to die without going to one of their concerts.

I have seen them 3 times. I would go again and again if they played in my area.
James' voice is still surprisingly good after all those years.
I think it's even better now
@@danielsolberg1638 Agreed, more raw and i like it. fucking legend
Yeahhh im jealous
He was 56 at the time he performed enter sandman In Norway.. now how many 56 year old musicians, past or present, have had vocals this good in a live performance? And this was not too long before he checked himself into rehab so the stresses of recording and touring would have been getting to him yet still managed to belt out this song.. incredible singer James Hetfield is, hopefully he can keep it going because with every live performance, the world gets a treat in my opinion 💪💪💪
It’s the power of metal
4:27 I can’t stress enough about the impeccable timing of the pyro guy !1!1
It's amazing, considering how poor Lars timing is...
And dont forget, the cameraman

Except Lars lol
What I love is how they pull through the little mistakes like they were nothing. That's pretty impressive.
Mostly by Lars...😅
Lars' mistakes
Little mistakes? I mean, this whole song is off beat... Guess they played it more than 1000 times in their career... They should be able to play it right after so many times. Absolutely terrible hearing such a wrong beat, especially for the guitarists and bassist.

Dont be a fricking boomer, there is good music today, you just have to search.
@Jeffrey Hinkel You dont risk, you are not gonna win anything, your problem tho.
@@valasovich6101 to be fair new music is beginning to sound the same. Like specifically with rap, the beat is the same on most songs. Its just repetitive.

Because the first one said for whom the bell tolls
I'm surprised that Lars did that drum fill / tom roll at the end of the last chorus. Haven't heard him play it "right" like that in almost 25 years. Good deal.
@Chosen rats Up What's the problem with that
This is Metallica. James, Lars, Kirk, Robert. They do their work. You like it or you dont like it. Its that simple. I like it.

@@djolepuric1787 thx:)
Living proof that being older than 27 is superbly desirable "Are you alive?' I met Lars once, he was fantastic.
I’ve never been able to work out why people say that Lars isn’t a good drummer. He seems perfectly capable to me.
He beats drums "tribal" style not modern sophisticated drummer style. They incorrectly compare him to non tribal style drummers who "play" drums, Lars "beats" drums. Big difference. With tribal drummers who beat drums you can feel your heart beat, with drummers who play drums you think about it.
@@nrdas8912 thanks for that, that makes a lot of sense.

@@aha3885 hahaha same here!
@@mad_ace33 good times, man. Before the great premiere of the black album, a friend of mine lent me the "AJFA" and the "Kill'em all" in two TDK cassettes, 90 minutes every cassette. You remember the slow motion when the batteries of the walkman starting to run out? 😛 and the manual rewind with a pencil, to save power? I copied that cassettes, and still keep the tapes. I never forget the feeling when "blackened" started to sound, with the dirty sound of the dozens of copies from the original disc.
The years fly, but Metallica remains. And the old shirts and patches too. And off course, the tapes.

cmon i love them but the age is getting to them, don't deny reality, there is that uncontrollable energy not only in the voice as a whole
You're deaf.
His vocals are literally NOTHING like they were when they recorded that album. The touring of the black album did its damage to hetfield's vocals. He stopped doing/lost his growl. Live after 1993 or so was more like this. The early vocals were amazing.
I love you Metallica
I wish I born rich and capable to watch them live before I died. So good to watch them here in my phone what more in live. Long live Metallica
The difference between the artist today and before then is the discipline to NOT CHEAT the audience. Thats why Metallica standout.
As Bruce Springsteen once said, "I see the ticket as a contract between me and the audience to always give them my best."

I saw these guys in the 80's. Can't remember the exact year. In my home town of Minot, North Dakota. They weren't so well known here at the time. About a week before the concert, the newspaper said they only sold 1,500 tickets!
Metallica said they were coming anyway! And they brought The Cult along. It was a great concert and my buddy got a pick.
