  • It's not known exactly why some people get diverticular disease, but it seems to be linked to age, diet and lifestyle, and genetics.
    The exact cause of diverticular disease remain unknown, but several of these factors seem to contribute to its development.
    One of the primary cause is believed to be a diet low in fiber. Let’s find out if this is true.

    Thank you so much for this information. My husband was just released from hospital after having a bout of diverticulitis. We were both told by our doctors, after colonoscopies, that we each needed to add more fiber to our diets and to drink more water. When my husband retired last year, he sat around watching TV, eating and sleeping with little to no movement. He was a prime candidate for diverticulitis. Now, I'm looking for information on what we should be eating as well as "doing." Your videos are most helpful. Thanks again for this information.
