My laptop suddenly turning off while im transferring my video footage, tried reset the battery by using paper clip at the reset hole under the laptop but it just wont turn on. So i did a little reading on google and i found the problem which is short circuit to the keyboard's power button. Get your keyboard replacement immediately.
I regret buying Acer brand laptop. If I can turn back time I won't buy this brand anymore. My mom's sweat and hardwork will kill me because of guilt. Guilt because I buy this 😭
Its not happening to other model, only these few specific release has this issue. Overall acer is a good brand and i've been using it for my whole life.

@@roseordinario2199 maybe you can email the nearest acer service centre to book for a replacement? Ask them 1st on how they deal under current covid situation because diff centre has diff way.

Thank you very much for the clear information regarding, i think its a manufacturing defect in Acer laptop. Found many of the acer customers have the same kind issue...Then why the acer is still manufacturing the defective products. During this lockdown, because of this laptop i couldn't do my office work.

Hey man.. hope you are doing good.. I bought acer aspire 5 and this happened with me not only once but thrice.. All I want to ask is whether there is problem in Motherboard or any other component? Because problem repeats itself after every 3-4 months and you have to replace your keyboard again..

This is very bad from Acer side that they have not fixed their products properly and we customers are facing so much problem.
Advice: Before buying any laptop do take Extended warranty, you never know what is going to happen in future. And most importantly REFRAIN yourself from buying acer products.They really suck!!
Hi dude, so sorry to hear that, for my case it only happened once. My suggestion, sell your aspire 5 quickly and get another brand. Very unprofessional of acer to make this repetitive faulty part case, we as consumer feel the pain 1st hand.

i Bought Acer aspire 5 A515-52G-580Q after Spensing Rs.57,000 on High Config Laptop right from Day 2 I am unable to use this Pathetic comapny I can even Brows Laptop I asked for Replacement they did gave me so they did Keyboard and Motherboard Change and then their executive accepted its refurbished not New. and after taking product on EMI i had to keep it with me and till date it's Good for nothing its been 3 yrs where as I have Asus Celron based 16GB hard disk 13yrs Old 11in laptop cutie with can perform and run windows 10 with photoshop which I showed to the engineer from Acer I have all the Video recording and Picture of same. Dont buy From such cheap company Acer.

There is no any other way, u need to get the keyboard replacement because the keyboard is the issue. Since its still in warranty, get the free replacement quickly.
What a coincidence.. there's a same problem with my aspire 5 too.... This trick worked for fewdays but didn't solved my issue permanently... Does disabling the inbuilt keyboard work?? I could work with external keyboard instead
Same problem and the worst problem is, there is no Acer service Center near me :-) and thanks to the lock down.
You are still covered under warranty. call the acer cc and register a complaint with them . They will direct u to a service center and they will do it for free of cost. I faced the same issue within 8 months of purchasing the laptop. they did it for free and it was alright. But the issued reappeared after 10 months again. This laptop is a piece of Sh*t. I regret my purchase.
When i open the laptop it shutdown after few seconds i cant even enter to win 10 . I went to repair shop and he was trying to fix for the past two weeks and the guy told that cant find any solution . Can u help me? (Sry for bad English)

U can disable the onboard keyboard in BIOS setting. And use usb keyboard to finish your work.
when my laptop switch off if i disable my internal keyboard will i still be able to turn on my computer
@@yandere____kun yeah yhe power botton is included to the keyboard you cant power it on if you disable it from your mother board and use an external keyboard. thats the disadvantage.

I am facing same problem from the last 2 months, Keep the Caps Lock Button Pressed and turn on your laptop. It is a good hack till you change your laptop keyboard.

My Acer aspire 3 A315-41-R7YQ can't turn on, I followed the instructions to press power button for a minute, fortunately it turned on, but the problem happen back and it happened a frequent times after it turned on and being shut down... Any solution for this kind of problem?

Yes, solved after replacing it with new keyboard if your symptoms is exactly like the 1 in the video. Faulty keyboard design, common for aspire 3 & 5

I cleaned the keyboard and I was stupid enough to spray cleaning product directly on keyboard.Exactly the same thing is happening to me. Is it for sure just the keyboard or could it be mother board that got damaged too?

I had the same problem and found solution myself, add a external keyboard via USB and turn on Computer by holding ctrl and then once turned on and into windows go to device manager and disable the inbuilt keyboard and inbuilt keyboard is disabled it won't turn off any further unless you put ur laptop into sleep/hibernation mode.
That is another good solution for emergency use, where u cant send it for fixing but u need to use it immediately to finish your work. Thx for the method.

Bro dnt try i also did the same for 3-4 mnths. But never risky your laptop it may damage your internal circuit. I used incense stick and peirced it into enter button side ways it works. But kind of risky.

Is it new? If yes claim your warranty. If used, get a new keyboard replacement. Its around $10 on ebay.
I got fix for this is working for me... First remove everything from laptop you only need plastic frame with keyboard... First wash with water very good... When you washed with water now you need 70% alcohol... Now flush whole keyboard with alcohol... After that use hair dryer... Then let keyboard drying for 10 hours... I hope this fix going to work for you... Sorry for my bad English

Hello, if u r not covered by warranty, u can buy the replacement part online & replace it yourself, it cost around $20 - $30, price may vary for diff countries.

as for my case, i replaced my keyboard to a new 1 and problem solved. i quickly sell my laptop and get another 1 soon after. hahahaha

hey i too purchased this laptop(unfortunately). The issue was seemingly with the keyboard, but the service center replaced the motherboard itself as the problem persisted even after keyboard replacement. it was done free of cost as it was under warranty.

Bring your laptop to official acer service centre, it took 2 - 3 days for replacement. If u send it to the shop where u bought it, it gonna take longer but the replacement is still done.

The problem was the keyboard, in this case. Solution replace keyboard.

@@eduardooliveira1419 i got the same model and same issue and when i contact acer they say it's water damaged they will replace it for 49000 rs but actually it was'nt the provlem waa with my input output chip... And later i found taimag chip got burned

Sir I'm facing a problem with my New Laptop Acer Aspire 3 I7 16GB 11Gen (A315-58-77x0). It worked a week properly but one night it show an option when i was closing "Update and Shut Down" and after that it never power on I'm still trying but it's not working🥺😢

I wonder if mine is the same since I never use my keyboard. I use an USB keyboard since forever. How the hell this thing became faulty?
Same with me, i rarely use my laptop, i only bring them when im outstation. 99% of my work is on my pc.
But still, it failed and need to replace. Mayb it has something to do with the circuit or usb layout since the prob is with the usb current shortage that caused the fault (as what Acer technician explained to me)

Its incredible. 6 years with a Dell Latitute, not a problem. 1 years with an ACER and the keyboard that I never use is not shortcircuiting thr entire thing.

@@ALSPEHEIR for my laptop, the issue came after i tried charging my sony camera via the usb port which i always did but maybe im a little unlucky this time (after over 2 years of using it) to cause a little spark which caused the issue which shorted the keyboard
So i dont know the actual problem here either circuit issue or faulty keyboard design/layout issue.
that is for my case, i cant say it for other models but i can see the problem is common among aspire 3 & 5 users. i dont have any problem with other acer laptops previously.
i always buy my laptops with extended warranty (1 + 2) and normally i will change to a new 1 after 2 or 3 years of using due to higher spec needed.
