  • If your Acer Laptop is not turning on, this tutorial will show you how to start troubleshooting for the cause. This video applies if your computer seems totally dead or has minimal signs of life including lights only or hard drive and fan sounds that start but then stop right away. Check out the FAQ's and Related Links below !!
Please remember to Like, Share, and Sub if this video was helpful :)

    FAQ's:
Q: Does this video apply to my issues?
A: This video is for computers with no signs of life that appear 'dead'. It will also help if you see minimal signs of life such as lights only or some hard drive / fan sounds but they stop right a way. If you are able to see anything on the screen at any point or if the hard drive / fan sound remain on, your issue could be something else. Leave me a message with your exact symptoms and I can direct you to the correct video :)
Q: I have tried all the steps seen here without identifying the issue :(
A: If, after all these steps, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I would start troubleshooting each component, starting with the charger and power jack. You can see those two videos here; • How To Test your Lapto... & • How to Fix Test Power ... . You can also try replacing other components like your Power Button to see if that is the route cause. If none of those are the issue, you would then be left with a motherboard replacement.

Also if anyone’s curious it was the 1 minute solution that fixed that issue. Unplugged my battery and held the power button for a minute as shown in the video. Although the usb port is completely fried. I use a acer nitro 5. Note be careful what you plug into your computer because this charger that fried it was a normal usb type c charger with a little nic in the part that plugs into your controller. I spilled water on my keyboard, and stupidly didn’t clean out the water that got inside it. And now some keys don’t work and some keys type multiple letters at a time. To put it simple, some keys don’t do what their supposed to do and others do more than their supposed to do. I’m thinking the keyboard is a lost cause but I at least want to know if it can be fixed.

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  Год назад

I would try reseating the keyboard ribbon cable at both ends. Clean them if you can with a 70%-90% Isopropyl Alcohol solution. If that fails to help then yes, I would then replace the keyboard. Hopefully the liquid damage isnt further than that :)

I tried to turn on by pressing the power button, but nothing happens. Not showing charging light if plugged in the charger. 😢 I'm completely shocked, my laptop just 10 month old. I really love how this video wants to help other people but in my case,
I've tried everything and followed the steps but my laptop is still not turning on. Let
me leave a summary on my current predicament:
    Laptop: ACER Aspire 3 : A314-32-P2QG
Bough this laptop 4 years ago, when I followed this video's steps, there is one
major blocking fact is when I removed the internal battery and plugged in the charger,
there are no lights indicating that it is charging, but when I snapped the battery back,
the light indicating that it is charging is evident. What could this possibly mean?
I appreciate the immediate feedback :)

    • @PC_Monkey

      1. did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
      2. If, after all these steps, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I would start troubleshooting each component, starting with the charger and power jack. You can see those two videos here; ruclips.net/video/YBhsVHideGE/видео.html & ruclips.net/video/HpabvrNaodU/видео.html. You can also try replacing other components like your Power Button to see if that is the route cause. If none of those are the issue, you would then be left with a motherboard replacement.

My acer V5-573 laptop doesn't turn on without the help of the charger, even if battery is full. I have to connect the charger for a few seconds, disconnect it, then press power multiple times whilst the orange light flashes each time, until eventually the blue light comes on and the laptop turns on. If when pressing power button the orange light doesn't flash, i have to reconnect the charger again for a few seconds, disconnect it and try again. It's a new battery as well since I had to replace the old one that draining too fast. The laptop is almost ten years old. However when the laptop does turn on, the new generic battery is excellent and gives me the expected amount of power at an average 6 hours. My laptop model is Acer aspire v5-573 (not v5-573g, etc).
Yes I tried your steps, with no luck. Then when I took out the CMOS battery and main battery for a few minutes, then reconnected and powered the laptop with main battery and CMOS battery but without charger connected, it turned on.

Assuming you have an Acer, can you try the steps seen here? ruclips.net/video/gDQZvNQ2chc/видео.html. Can you find any Repair or Recovery options in BIOS? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?

My daughter has an Acer Chromebook Spin 713 with an internal battery. When it is plugged in the red charging light comes on but we can still not get it to turn on. I cannot find the video that shows how to take out the internal battery. Can you help me out? Please.

Hi can I ask because, I used my laptop last 2 days ago. Now that I checked my laptop it wont turn on, and there wasnt a sign like “critical low battery” so i got scared. So all i had to do is to charge it, now when i charged it (whenever I charge the battery light turns on/red) But there wasnt any light. But as soon as i clicked the power button the light is blinking for 5 seconds. Idk what to do..😢

I know this video was awhile ago but can you still help? My brand is acer and the model # is N16Q13. The screen randomly went black, nothing will come up on the screen, and the charging light won’t turn on.

If the screen is black, what are the signs that the computer is actually turning on? Have you tried the steps seen here in this video?

I hold my power button and it sounds like it’s going to turn on but then it just shuts off. It’s a black screen
