Legit just dusted off an old hard drive to pair with an SSD to make a games library with my StoreMI license from my x470 like 2 or three weeks ago lol. Just in the nick of time apparently. Its pretty cool from what ive been able to do so far - getting a license might not be that bad, maybe.

It's really awesome that you're doing charity work for abandoned/stray/ cats Steve. Being an animal lover in general things like this makes me feel good to be honest. I have a dog (rescue) and an abandoned/stray cat i took in 4 years ago, wish i could take in more, but my cat is the really jealous type. Cheers!

Lentils, beans, millet, potatoes and chickpeas are very cheap. Can you cook? Fruits are also very tasty, but may cost more. I don't know your taste, but you will find something you like.

@@11squeakers Shakes do not have many calories, you can not replace meat with it. You need enough calories, you can get them from grains, legumes or nuts. You could also get them from potatoes, but then you have to eat a lot (4kg/d or so).
its so great what you do with the cats. i have actually saved/trapped about 25-30 in the last few years. i am not an organization though, so havent found homes for all. i feed and shelter 17 on a regular basis right now. i am always looking for ideas on how to bring in some donations to help fund food, litter, shots, flea treatments. i like the auction idea and may try it. keep up the good work

why not build a small tub around the chip to keep the LM in? The heat sink could then fit in it like a socket. LM is basically mandatory for any gaming laptop. I went from 98C degrees to 73C (in basement) 77 to 86C (2nd floor) room temp up to 65 to 75F.
The issue with respiratory diseases like COVID-19 is that even if you get air into someone’s lungs, they can’t absorb the oxygen because there’s fluid in the way in their lungs covering the alveoli, so you need pressure to force the oxygen but not so much pressure that you damage the lungs. It’s a delicate balance. That’s why ventilators are so expensive / complicated.
I've seen some videos on youtube (like game trailers or music mixes) that have chapters, now. I'm surprised that you haven't jumped on that opportunity; chapters would be perfect for these videos.
That Maingear case looks like it has a closed off front panel and *no* fans. Like come on, did they give any consideration to airflow when designing this ventilator? At a time when overclocking could save lives we have the least amount of thermal headroom.
About the auction. Is there a way you can have a blind auction? Where you have to bit without knowing what everyone else is bidding. In that case, if the first winner can't pay you can just ask the next person and so on.
Steve, is that 1.3v mentioned for your ES @ 5.2 the voltage set in the bios, or the voltage at load? That makes a huge difference in thermals because of vdroop! If that's the voltage set in the BIOS (before vdroop at load), that pretty much matches golden sample 9900KS chips.

I suspect that less one in one thousand Intel 10 core CPUs will hit 5.3GHz stable. My i9 9900KS will hit 5.2GHz stable on air, I cannot remember if I tried to get it to 5.3, and it is only an 8 core. Thank you for another great video.

You were saying it’s possible to reball and replace gpus or memory on a video card. Would it be possible to transfer a titan or rtx8000 fully unlocked gpu to a kingpin pcb so you can bypass the power restrictions of the titan? Wouldn’t that in theory make the worlds most powerful gpu?
You could change the name scheme to "XKx00", which would literally mean "10,000", except far easier to say, looks less stupid, and would give you an easy way to reset the entire scheme by making the following chips be XK1, XK2, etc., or just automatically drop the X and go with K1, K2 or 1K, 2K, etc. OR LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE JESUS CHRIST INTEL PLEASE STOP

Could they install a really small sealed ihs over a die that has a micro port for liquid metal injection and squeezes out a little when the space is full? They could maybe weld or solder the port afterwards
Actually no. What happens is that these chips failed validation for 2080, but by fusing the offending areas off, you can almost always get the chips to pass for a lower tier card. Watch the review GN did of the card for a better explanation.
liquid metal protip: cotton swabs leave material embedded in the liquid metal reducing its performance. I wonder if they are going to do anything to keep liquid metal droplets from transferring due to movement of the device. Have tested this a bit and it doesnt take much to cause droplet transfer. FWIW I know how to stop the droplet transfer as well..
I use Enmotus FuzeDrive, and It has been pretty awesome, I have just been waiting for 2tb M.2 NVME drives to come down in price so I can get all of my storage on my motherboard.
Could factories just use spray or aresol to apply liquid metal? Like have a spray nozzle and blockers around the side to make sure it doesn't go off the die.

Liquid metal-no thanks....just switched to Grizzly Kryonaut from Arctic MX4 and lowered idle temp 5c....MX4 works well but the Kryonaut is the ducks nuts. Great vid.
Did you see the news of the 10900k losing against the 3900x in benchmarks? If it really loses to the 3900x, they aren't going to have a fun time going against the 4900x or whatever it is named.
What I'm more interested is in the i5. Mostly because it's gonna be the most accessible for new pc builders. I hope it can bring enough competition to force amd to lower their prices.
Louchesjon AMD doesn't need to lower their prices, and I very much doubt it will outperform the desktop 4600, and even it does it will still be worse due to TDP. Given the 10900k loses to a 3900x, I don't have much hope.
I noticed on the 1650 that it still has a DVI port... honest question, who here still uses DVI? I would think for sure by this point everyone would be using at least HDMI if not DP.
I used to have a 768p monitor that was DVI only. Really threw a wrench in the plans when I saw that my 1050ti had no DVI slot so I had to buy a DVI-HDMI converter. The 1650 is faster than the 1050ti to a point that it can comfortably keep up with games played at 1080p native in monitors that are all HDMI only. So yea, a bit weird if it has a DVI slot.
Maingear must realize that by the time that ventilator gets certified as medical equipment, nobody will need or care about it. Also no hospital will buy uncertified equipment from a liability stand point. Nice stunt though.
Question about the new Intel nuc: since the compute and graphics card are both in pcie16 slots, a less attentive/knowledgeable consumer could presumably put them in the wrong slots. What happens?

I wanna see someone fit a Kingpin PCB with extremely high quality capacitors, gold plated connectors, so on. Would do it justice.
Silver plated copper is a much better conductor. Gold has a high resistance in comparison.

I recently bought 2 Ryzen 5 1600 AF CPUS, for 85$. I think its just certain 3rd parties marking them up. I got my from Amazon, sold by AMD.
I suspect that less one in one thousand Intel 10 core CPUs will hit 5.3GHz stable. My i9 9900KS will hit 5.2GHz stable on air, I cannot remember if I tried to get it to 5.3, and it is only an 8 core. Thank you for another great video.

You were saying it’s possible to reball and replace gpus or memory on a video card. Would it be possible to transfer a titan or rtx8000 fully unlocked gpu to a kingpin pcb so you can bypass the power restrictions of the titan? Wouldn’t that in theory make the worlds most powerful gpu?
Only by a couple of percent. Hardly worth bastardising an expensive card that would have to cooled with Liquid Nitrogen to need that pcb.

You could change the name scheme to "XKx00", which would literally mean "10,000", except far easier to say, looks less stupid, and would give you an easy way to reset the entire scheme by making the following chips be XK1, XK2, etc., or just automatically drop the X and go with K1, K2 or 1K, 2K, etc.

Aw, sorry to hear that. Cats are among the best companions. Ebenezer is a very determined kitten! We're happy that he was found and happy to have helped get him into Cat Angels. What happens is that these chips failed validation for 2080, but by fusing the offending areas off, you can almost always get the chips to pass for a lower tier card.

liquid metal protip: cotton swabs leave material embedded in the liquid metal reducing its performance. I wonder if they are going to do anything to keep liquid metal droplets from transferring due to movement of the device. Have tested this a bit and it doesnt take much to cause droplet transfer. FWIW I know how to stop the droplet transfer as well..
I use Enmotus FuzeDrive, and It has been pretty awesome, I have just been waiting for 2tb M.2 NVME drives to come down in price so I can get all of my storage on my motherboard.

Could factories just use spray or aresol to apply liquid metal? Like have a spray nozzle and blockers around the side to make sure it doesn't go off the die.

Did you see the news of the 10900k losing against the 3900x in benchmarks? If it really loses to the 3900x, they aren't going to have a fun time going against the 4900x or whatever it is named.
What I'm more interested is in the i5. Mostly because it's gonna be the most accessible for new pc builders. I hope it can bring enough competition to force amd to lower their prices.

AMD doesn't need to lower their prices, and I very much doubt it will outperform the desktop 4600, and even it does it will still be worse due to TDP. Given the 10900k loses to a 3900x, I don't have much hope.

I noticed on the 1650 that it still has a DVI port... honest question, who here still uses DVI? I would think for sure by this point everyone would be using at least HDMI if not DP.
I used to have a 768p monitor that was DVI only. Really threw a wrench in the plans when I saw that my 1050ti had no DVI slot so I had to buy a DVI-HDMI converter. The 1650 is faster than the 1050ti to a point that it can comfortably keep up with games played at 1080p native in monitors that are all HDMI only. So yea, a bit weird if it has a DVI slot.
Maingear must realize that by the time that ventilator gets certified as medical equipment, nobody will need or care about it. Also no hospital will buy uncertified equipment from a liability stand point.

Question about the new Intel nuc: since the compute and graphics card are both in pcie16 slots, a less attentive/knowledgeable consumer could presumably put them in the wrong slots. What happens?
