Boy do I know that work very well since I was old enough to keep my dad cutting by me and my little sister rolling through logs down just like you have your setup. Back then hand split for my dad while we stacked the wood. I'd give anything to have them all back, but what a flashback bro and I thank you. Good workout and it's really a good feeling once your done, we always made sure to have 20-25 full cords ready. Year round job really so the wood could dry out for the next season or two ahead. I finally built my splitter back around 2004, had come across a nice length piece of a I-beam and took the hydraulic pump of the old school plow for a truck were you had to push the handle to go up and pull the handle to go down it had to hydraulic hoses and homemade tank for the hydraulic fluid welded up under the hood to a plate of steel that was welded up for the truck frame to hold it took a cylinder that run the bucket off a dead tractor and cut down a axle to mount the I-beam and the motor and hydraulic pump and tank. Come out good and finally welded up a ball hitch to tow it. Thought I'd share I'm sure you understood that process of building a splitter old girl but trusty lol. I made 2 different blades for the end one for big round pieces that can split it up into 4 pieces and then the single blade for making cuts like you have. Stay safe and I know you're going to be warm bro. God bless you RF.💪🏻✊🏻👍🏻✌🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
I luv those axes! I do have one...but it's older then I am lol! They can work well for splitting, you just have to work around the edges! Nice to see you man, thanks!👊🤙
