    Two years ago I found a big carton of pool noodles and another big carton of foam pipe insulation for sale at Goodwill. Was 133 noodles in all. Bought them all for $9. Best score EVER at Goodwill. Now I can build wingsssss.

    Hey brother, nice project. Just be careful when using high heat and melted foam. It could cause toxic fumes that can be very harmful. It really wouldn't hurt to use a respirator when melting foam or even spray painting indoors. Keep up the great work.

    I work at a Michaels and all our custom framing comes wrapped in essentially this foam. A former coworker made a “mother goose” costume, using the foam for the feathers. It turned out great, I had never thought to utilize that for anything but I have a basically endless supply for free if I ever need it.

    i wonder if you could make some secure loops out of the sheet foam that would blend into the wings that you could slide your hands into when you want to pull them in and pose like you were doing. also, i know the noodles are cheap, lightweight, and easy to assemble, but what about pvc pipe if you wanted a little more rigidity to them?

    • @jendubay3782
      @jendubay3782 2 года назад

      The pool noodles are so light, you could probably do fishing line attached to your hands

    • @StiltbeastStudios
      @StiltbeastStudios  2 года назад

      you could, but then youd have handles on your wings. I think that would look wore than ocassionally folding them in with your hands. Why would you want more rigidity? they hold themselves up well, but they will not knock someone over and will bend in the wind as opposed to risk tipping your prop. If they were droopy at all then Yes Id add some, but I see it as unnecessary here.
