I work for a haunt here in my town as the scarecrow and definitely keep you in mind when I get the money to buy a mask. This one seems really amazing looking! Can’t wait to check out the website!
Your masks really capture the horror associated with the scarecrow. Really amazing work and thank you for putting so much care into the quality as well as your business practices. Inspiring all around!
I love this so much! I work at a haunted forest around Halloween. I’m new to your channel but I’m definitely going to subscribe and work my ass off to get one of these. Thank God for people like you!!
Hey thanks man. You're one of the lucky dozen or so that got one. Last summer I literally.... literallllllly turned away about 35 orders because I just didn't have time to build them so close to Hallowe'en.
Love the update on the mask...Your vision is so, awesome...I hope I can build up over the course of the year enough funds to purchase by Halloween 2018..keep up the great videos and I will always keep watching your vids.
Thanks man! I'm ready when you are. Try to avoid the summer for ordering though, because every year leading up October, dozens and dozens and dozens of folks go without masks because I haven't the time to build everything. Best time to order is actually January - June.
You make the best high quality mask ever your craftsman ship and pride you put into your masks are absolutely amazing i would love to have one of each i checked out your both at the St Louis trade show and was just amazed
I love your mask, I had actually bought the Banshee sometime last year. But I do have to say that i dont seem to get much ventilation with my mask other than feeling the air through the eye holes. other than that your work is great. I plan on ordering a hat from you to top it all off.
What I sometimes do, and you can do it too, is to sharp tool about the thickness of a pencil and poke holes into the mouth area, and hot glue the sides of the holes to keep their form.
how do i buy it, i dont think i can even buy it because im in england....or can i? please tell me never mind, i just saw it. im gonna ask my mum to try and make a similar mask for me, even though she cant....i mean shes gonna try her hardest! anyway, love your videos and masks!
Love your masks! I am part of a charity haunt in my town and this year I am inspired by your masks to make a scarecrow scene (it is outdoors) I was wondering how you harden your mask to shape without latex? I would love to just order your masks they are fantastic but they are not in my budget this year. Any tips on how to create one would be great thank you!
It's taken me years of self trial & error and R&D to get to where I am in making these masks, and every month I discover something new. And so much of it is literally self made.... I even had to make my OWN TOOL to get the full head mask OFF the head form when I'm done - a head form which I sculpted and cast myself specifically for making these masks. But nobody ever considers THAT when they ask me for advice on how to make them. LOL. The process of shape and holding shape - begins with the under mask which is a canvas burlap (industry only material - not retail available) which provides comfort, strength, and durability in shaping. The mask shape is reinforced with 16-gauge wire in key areas, the folding and overlapping of material in sections, dense knotted rows of burlap are added to shape brows, jaw lines, upper jaw forms etc, to which heavy stitching is also applied to seams, eyes, mouths, etc to further aid in holding of shape. I even lightly hot glue coat the mouth and eye stitches to firm them. So many tricks. Shape therefore is an amalgamation of many things starting with the under-mask material. So I don't really harden the mask with a single product.
Thank you so much I’ve seen people using latex or caulking on there canvas head bust to harden the mask and was wondering about your process. I think my plan for this year is to make a tape life casting and use some plastic masks I bought a few years ago as the face mold to shape the burlap. This winter I will make an actual life cast and dive into the sculpting. Your seams and stitching are so organic you can tell how much work you put into your pieces especially weathering and colors!
I have friends who do the latex and burlap scarecrow mask and that's fine. There's definitely a need for it as they are good for haunts as basic scarecrows cuz they are cheap. One of the things I get from people at Trade Shows is that they love my masks but say.. "I wouldn't trust it in the hands of some of the people we hire as actors." And they are also afraid actors will steal them. LOL. So most of my haunt buyers wear it themselves, or let family members use them.
Um with the quality its pretty good making a simple burlap and liquid latex is twenty for me but itchy and low quality fourty is comfortable and 100 is high quality after that is movie worthy and its hand made so top notch quality while a silicon rubber mask that's uncomfortable but cool is six hundred so your prices are good
Mirio. I have been using mine for years, and likewise with every customer I have ever heard from, they are getting years and years out of their masks. The great thing about my masks is that being a scarecrow mask.... they actually begin to look more organic and better with age.. like a real scarecrow if that makes sense. My personal mask I use in videos (Mr GRim) I throw in the back of the SUV, drop it on ground while shooting takes, and don't give a crap about "being too nice" and it still looks amazing and better than ever. Time and age work very well with my masks.
100 % organic thick weave burlap in layers with wire lined jaw and sponges and stiffen making it durable, comfortable but light weight and wearable for hours. Check out my website for more info and FAQ. grimstitchfactory.com

I know, I just am wondering how expensive you would call it I mean those are good prices and the infected is my favourite.
Not sure I understand exactly what you are asking when you write.. "..how expensive you would call it.."
I suggest the barn dweller if you want something less pricey and original. (More basic)
Hello, I live in Korea. Can I get international delivery?

How does it move on the head and neck since it's hard ?
It’s not hard. It’s firm but flexible.
Around how much money? I mean like Canada and us can have different price value
Please check the website grimstitchfactory.com for all information and prices. Prices are US dollars
Ok, so how you did this mask, which materials and steps to do it please ?.
Unfortunately I'm not in the "teaching" business, I'm in the "manufacturing" business and I don't even have enough time for that. LOL.
I know this is late but I was wondering how durable and long lasting these masks are? I really hope I can save up for one asap. I love your designs
