@@kristofferjalovec3046 it's actually Russian Airborne soldiers there with Wagner. The Wagner group sends the activated prisoners as cannon fodder to find Ukrainian positions. Once their positions are exposed, the Airborne group is then sent in. I've seen a few interesting interviews with Ukrainian soldiers who have said that this is what they are doing. They also say that the Airborne troops are well trained and much better fighters than the rest of the bunch that they've been going against. God Bless you and your family! Have a great day!

A BIG element to the success were the fighters from the territorial defence of SUMY that kept blocking russian troops from advancing to Kyiv (on the highway) - thus giving Kyiv more time to mount defences. You should have mentioned that too, it's a well-known fact and more people should know that.

The battle for Kyiv shows the big difference in fighting doctrine. Ukraine learned how to fight Western style with small units led by sergeants and junior officers, while Russia couldn't do anything unless a colonel or higher first approved it!

0:52 As I recall, it wasn't the US saying invasion was impossible between civilization nations, it was repeatedly trying to warn Ukraine signs of invasion were everywhere and Zelenskyy was downplaying it as "Western Media Hysteria". After the 2014 invasion, I don't think Ukraine, the US or even Europe would expect invasion between civilized countries to be impossible.
Thats how i remember it as well. The vid creator seems to have the US and Ukraine thoughts on pre-invasion backwards. I may be wrong though.
I think Zelensky didn't want to cause panic inside Ukraine. He downplayed it, and at the same time he needed Russia to attack to create martial law and forbid men in certain ages to leave the country. I think it was a smart decision in many different ways

I’m wondering why Russia waited so long to fully invade Ukraine if they technically started in 2014 in Crimea. I’m happy they did wait because Ukraine’s army grew in strength since 2014. But what was Russia thinking? I’m just curious.
