I don't think Ukraine being half pro Russia (which sounds a bit inflated) detracts from Maidan being organic.
I also don't know why you are calling the current regime undemocratic, when (a) most of the government officials, with the notable exception of the president, from before Maidan remained after it, and (b) the current president isn't the same one who replaced Yanukoyvch, Zelensky was voted in in 2019.
If any country needs an impenetrable wall it's Ukraine on their eastern border and the border with Belarus.

I remember my history teacher back in high school teaching us about world war two and how Germany was taking over land and the other countries would basically tell them no more or something like that and he described Germany like a lion the more u feed him the stronger it gets and that’s how Germany was getting till USA joined .. or something like that ..
