- The Russian Army's blitz makes Ukraine struggle to cope on the battlefield. Russian troops have targeted and blown up U.S.-supplied weapons on the ground. According to Moscow, Russian Air Defence Forces have intercepted ten rockets from the HIMARS and Smerch Multiple Launch Rocket Systems. The missile storm by Russian troops hit Ukraine across the line of contact, claiming the lives of nearly 500 of Kyiv's fighters. Watch this report for more.

Fact is Ukraine is running on a short time frame. And they know this. Which is exactly why their last major offensive put them in a terrible position because they aimed way beyond their capability, leading into the dire Bahkmut situation. A bad sign of future endeavours, especially when they have little to supplement later capabilities.

To be honest and precise - you can not use this example under current conditions.
First of all it wasn't Russia then. It was USSR and that country had totally different political and economical structure. At least people there knew what they were fighting for.
Modern Russia way closer to Russian Empire of 1900 - 1914.
So while Russian soldiers might be pretty stubborn and dedicated, the command HQ and the military industry might have the other opinion.
That's how Russia lost the war with Japan in 1905. That's how things went disaster at 1915 during WWI.
