Hey, just a heads up to anyone who may need to know; do not use tampons as a replacement for bandages. Do not stick a tampon in a bullet wound. They are absorbant, and meant to pull blood OUT, not keep it in. They leave behind small particules of cotton behind, and that is an excellent bed for infection.
You must be single, for sure. A Tampon Absorbs and stops at the same time the Blood flow. Otherwise, women would be changing tampons every 2 minutes. And as the cotton goes,do you thing that cotton can be a "danger" because of tiny pieces of cotton that stays inside a wound or a women vagina...??!! Dont you think that the Tampons Manufactures dont think abaut the safety of billions of woman, and produce a product that can be "Deadly"...C'mon man ,get a girlfriend and then you might learn something abaut tampons safety .

The "WW2" helmet shown at 2:26 was the Sfera/STSh-81, actually introduced in 1981, which is old but not 1940s old. Other evidence however has shown the Ssh-68 in use, which is a cold war development of WW2 design, especially with LNR & DNR troops.
A minute in, this video smacks of "filler" images for demonstration purposes. Might be more about the narration than factual visuals. Good spot, though. These things should be called out.
Keep the lies coming while you force the West to kill Ukrainians and nothing. My only consolation is pretty soon NATO will be down to just Americans that can fight and when that happens I’m going to enjoy it with the Russians do you
You are correct about the Sfera Helmet, but a interesting helmet I’ve seen is the Kolpak-20, which reuses the SSh-40 Shell with some aramid layers inside. There’s some videos taken online about them. In one of Patrick Lancaster’s (A Pro-Russian Reporter) recent videos, one of the interviewees has one. (Would like to note: Another interviewee in his video has what seems to be PASGT-Clone Helmet)
On the topic of corruption in the Russian military. Due to the nation’s size, the military is split into various districts, each with its own autonomous governance of their districts’ military branches. Each district is responsible for providing and equipping their branches. Corrupt officials often pocketed large sums of money allocated by the federal government for supplying the military. What we’ve seen in Ukraine is troops pulled from poorer regions of Russia, where corruption is entirely unchecked vs somewhat. There are some Russian troops with little to no suitable equipment because of this, and on the other hand there are some who are fully kitted out in comparison. Considering most officials are just as bad as each other, money allocated by the federal government to ‘modernise and invest in the military’, has instead been spent on yachts and stocks in oil enterprises. They’re all guilty of greed in varying capacities, so no one official can take the high ground and point the finger, or there’d be no one left to govern the districts. Now the country is trying to adapt and ‘fix’ these decades-long military inadequacies due to underfunding. And that is Russia.
Actually, the Germans did suffer a lot of casualties in Poland. The tanks moved slowly with the infantry causing loss of armor. The Poles had many anti tank rifles which could penetrate the panzer 1 and 2. In France the Germans used speed of the armor at all costs. The German army learned from each conflict and improved over time.
The Wehrmacht (german army wwII) used the New Blitzkrieg tacktig, witsh is exackly the " Bewegungskrieg" for 20th century. Bewegungskrieg is the way germany ackts at war. The russian military is extremely impressive, especially when on parade. They are brilliant at marching whilst singing and smiling. Remember next time you watch a military parade - it is not a sign of fighting ability.
Is that the reason why Russia alone is beating the snot out of Ukraine + the entire NATO alliance? Weren´t they saying the russians were running out of missiles since May? And that Russia´s economy would self-destruct in a month, and yet they are recording a 2% growth in 2022, while the UK and Germany are in a recession? In reference to the block of wood at 0:03 That was not issued to a Russian soldier. That footage was recorded just after the Russians were forced to retreat from around Kyiv. It was a decoy to take up time and energy of EOD teams. In that same video a bomb is found inside of a rations box left in a civilian home. Many people were killed when they returned to their homes as a result of booby traps set by retreating Russian troops. Many objects were deliberately left behind that appeared to be explosive devices but were actually just decoys, as I said, to waste the time of EOD teams because they have to carefully examine objects that could be explosives before they can confirm whether they are or not.
Every time I think about Russia, I think back to the Chernobyl TV show a couple years ago and one of the most iconic lines that stuck with me since I heard it. When Gobachev is talking to the scientist and he says "Our power comes from the perception of our power." And this sums up Russia's military might in my opinion.

This reminds me a lot about China's defeat in the 1895 Battle of the Yellow Sea. The Chinese Government - under European advisers - spent a sizable amount to create a modern Navy, centered around several British and French designed warships and a local arsenal capable of making modern naval ammunition. Corruption ensured that only a few of the warships were actually built - without adequate armour-plate - and that the crew were very poorly trained. The Chinese "officers" gained their positions through influence, and never bothered acquiring any knowledge of the naval arts, the only capable crew being a handful of European contractors (mostly British and Scots) who were "kept out of the loop" regarding their own ships. When called on to fight the Japanese, it was discovered that the propellant charges and explosive shells were filled with sand , and the European manufactured armour piercing munitions were in such a poor state that most were useless. At least I understand in the subsequent disaster, the Japanese did pick up survivors...

Excellent video. My experience in the USAF mirrors the theme here. Maintenance and training were costly, but our military and civilian leaders ensured that we were prepared and equipped for real battle. When I see "experts" complain about the amount of tax dollars invested in our national defense, I wonder if they ever flew an F-15 or used night vision goggles or stood next to another soldier trusting they both had the skills necessary to fight effectively together. For every hour of flight an F-16 requires 17 manhours of maintenance. An F-22 needs 30 to 40 manhours. An F-15C costs $23,000 per flight hour while the F-35 costs $28,000 per flight hour. The cost to train a fighter pilot in those airframes runs between $5 and $11 million per pilot. So, owning a $2 million dollar Steinway doesn't mean much if your piano is out of tune and the pianist never had lessons.
I would think that most people who said that too much money was invest into military didn't think that the cost of training and maintenance was cheap. But rather, in a peaceful world, why bother investing so much money into something that is not going to be use while some other problem are being left unsolved like climate change. However, the war between Russian and Ukraine proved that those money were not wasted after all.
@@broccolidiego2053 indeed, the biggest reason people use to complain about the amount of money we use on our military is by comparing the amount we spend in comparison to other countries and claiming that we can cut back "if only" and then invest that money into something that creates more US debt than we already have. Due to the lack of global news in the US, it's very rare for anyone to even be aware of ongoing or potential conflicts, nor how they might affect our everyday lives.

I saw an early-war vid where an abandoned Russian tank was found to have been fitted with CAMO-PAINTED EGG BOXES instead of ERA. The cardboard boxes that hold a dozen eggs, found in a typical civilian supermarket, happened to be shaped enough like ERA blocks that they "passed" visually once painted.
I was totally baffled by that massive first convoy miles and miles of trucks and tanks they were sitting ducks in fact it was just funny the only thing missing at the front of the convoy was a big red bus and and cliff Richard singing were all going on a summer holiday!!
The russians attacked at the worst possible time, when they could really only use the roads, they didn't tell their soldiers they were going into a full blown war, they even downplayed, underestimated or just flat out didn't know the situation the troops would be facing, so those early convoys from belarus towards Kyiv were travelling in a sort of "parade" style which made it very easy for small teams using ATV's, NLAW/Javilin to hit the front and rear vehicles and bog the russians down for hours, days even. More and more this picture is coming into view of the russians just being generally stupid and ill prepared for what they were undertaking, whole thing is rotten from top to bottom.
When you mentioned Russia advertising its military to the world this sticks to a quote from the art of war by sun tzu. “Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.” Putin does know how to do intimidate. Whether he acquired this by reading or experience is unknown.
Yep! and Donald Trump was well educated on this and knew the Russia was weak that's why Putin didn't attempt anything during his presidency. An interesting distinction to make about Russia’s historical “prowess” is that America was supplying a large amount of artillery shells, replacement artillery barrels, tank shells and fuel. It's not all that bad in russian military, the shitshow is not everywhere, sadly. They also have strong sides, and sadly in our Ukrainian military shitshow also happens, we also fight with obsolete equipment, because we use everything we possibly can. Western help is few and far between, comes always late, allies overpromise and underdeliver, for example we still have a deficit of shells. But if you want to know the truth, those are just realities of current war, and perhaps all wars. An important overlooked factor is, well, not necessarily the will to fight, but the national determination. Russia will not stop, and will use anything they can to destroy us. Naturally, we do not want to be destroyed, so we will also use anything we can, despite everything. I don't think the video is bad or untruthful, it's not impartial, but that's fine. It's not a dry objective analysis, perhaps - it's an opinion piece shedding light on weak sides of russian military, which is very important to counter russian information warfare and propaganda, to shatter the image russia built for themselves. And yes, russians are uniquely creative in a very stupid way, they do shit like strapping ERA blocks on unarmoured vehicles and blowing up, for example. Yes, their military is a shitshow, and they are extremely corrupt. But still, they have guns, they can shoot them (usually), and the bullet will kill you no matter how stupid the user is and how rusty their rifle is, here in Ukraine we have a bitterly joking espression about old/rusty shit on both sides, or about allies providing very old vehicles - "it does move and it does shoot". Hopefully, with allies lately mobilising somewhat, we would at least get more shells. Russia has a lot of their own problems (like said in the video; it doesn't even cover 1% of all the shitshow), they can't sustain heavy losses forever. Our freedom, hope and will shall prevail, and all the death and sacrifice will not be for nothing.

Its hard for us to really understand the russian mentality in these matters, so again, yepp - a russian soldier could certainly engage, without better knowing, in a battelfield with a pelletgun. Sad but true.

I am kinda fed up with media portraying enemy as underequipped, using old tanks that don't do harm etc. And that it is an easy ride for Ukrainians. Yes russia is giving out big amount of ww2 weapons but they mostly give those to their proxy forces in donetsk and luhansk. In the end a russian soldier gets an ak. Just check any combat footage from Soledar or bahmut made by Ukrainian soldiers, you will see that they mostly have a rifle, vest and helmet. Tanks, this old story "oh they are using old tanks". You know, my friends keep telling me, it doesn't matter if it is a modern t90 or old rusty t62, it is a bloody tank, it will stay several km from you and make you hide, it can also kill. I hope that russia just falls back eventually. But people, stop portraying the enemy like they are bunch of homeless guys who don't have a gun, vehicles etc. UA soldiers have to fight there every day and it is not fun. The story about a pellet gun was a 1 time case where an air gun was found at russian position, that is it.
Old tank guns are not precise, shoot that direction and hope someday you got hit. So, destroy everything and use truckload ammo per day (if that truck is not destroyde by enemy)

The USSR received 4,000 M4A2 Sherman tanks from the USA at the critical point when Moscow was under attack and critically short on tanks. To be fair, using a tampon on a bullet wound is an easy way to stop (or at least slow) the bleeding. Granted, the alleged second most powerful military in the world should have a better medical kit than a box of tampons, but still.
Tampons are not as effective for that role as dedicated dressing and gauze from a first aid kit. One would only use tampons if they have nothing else to use.
In the 1980's in the US Army, some units would carry tampons, and maxi pads as a Supplement to our issued field dressings. There are only 1, maybe 2 Medics per Infantry Platoon. Often 1 soldier per Squad had a small medical kit with a half dozen dressings, shears, and some other stuff. Tampons/maxi pads, were a field expedient. Dressing for the serious wound, then control the bleeding from secondary wounds with a maxi pad and 100mph tape. Field dressings are removed at the BAS (Battalion Aid Station) or CaSH (Combat Surgical Hospital). USA typically gets their wounded to expert care in the "Golden Hour" so whatever works to keep folks alive until they get to a surgeon.
Today is 13.03.2024...more than one year this video is posted...from than till now Russinas with this rusty weapon, empty weapon and fake weapon liberate Bahmut, Avdiievka, Marianka, Soledar......I do not understand who is on other side against Russia ?!?!?!?
Russian aviation forces are lacking man power in both flying and their maintenance crews (never mind replacement parts). I would go so far as to say their performance now mirrors World War II. During WWII Russian civilians were made into soldiers and told if they did not fight they would be executed by their own forces, their artillery attempts often bombed their own positions. The perception of a competent military back then was just as critical then as it is now.
Its actually worse. The USSR had a functional reserve system they mobilized. When people where told to do something they hadnt done in 10 years sometimes mistakes where made, but these wherent total civilians, they had gone trough military training 10 years ago.
Wow. So germans should be absolutely disabled or something if they were defeted at their campaign vs USSR while USSR forces were that incompetent, "civilians were made into soldiers and told if they did not fight they would be executed by their own forces", "artillery attempts often bombed their own positions" and so on. Right? So how they are managed to captured the whole France in a month if they were so bad that guys who are bombing themselves somehow defeted their capturers? You don't need threat civilians with executions becouse they suffered executions, expluatations, punishments in nazi occupied territories. Concentration camps were build and operated by nazis and japanese even them only would be enough to lead people join partizan forces or militia coz you are fighting or you will die or being expluateted anyway due to the policy of nazi German or Japan where it was legal. Private companies which still existed even at this moment used slave labor or captured civilians in their production factories, used living people in chemical and medicine experiments and so on. If you would be in danger of getting into such camp - you will not walk but run to join to resistance vs such unhuman enemies.
>During WWII Russian civilians were made into soldiers and told if they did not fight they would be executed by their own forces, their artillery attempts often bombed their own positions. The perception of a competent military back then was just as critical then as it is now. How stupid one must be to actually believe that?
I know right? This video inadvertently makes Russians look like f*cking space marines. Russians apparently took Backmut with nothing but cardboard armor, pellet guns, and shovels against a Western backed Ukrainian army.
Whilst a good part of what you have produced is accurate, I would take issue with the point you made reference to regarding the use of tampons. Whilst it may sound assanine and pathetic, its actually a very effective piece of kit to carry in a military first aid kit. I was using them for that very purpose during my 12 year service career during the late 1970's through to the early 1990's. When you think about the basics of what a tampon is designed for; it's a sterile item used to stick in a hole to expand and absorb blood...the very definition of what you need if someone has suffered an entry gsw. It's small and light enough to enable you to carry a reasonable number and its use, as as an adjunct to larger field dressings, is well known to anyone who has seen active service. taking into consideration what my old firearms instructor told us when teaching CQB shooting it's very appropriate "gentlemen, shooting someone is just like trying to get your missus pregnant, you have to hit the target in the right place and get it in deep enough to cause the damage".
A tampon is meant to hold maybe a shot cup of blood. An arterial bleed can pump out more blood than a human has inside the body in 1-2 minutes. It's not the 70s-90s anymore. We learned a lot.
@@ChucksSEADnDEAD I am well aware of that as I have spent the last 14 years working in a Hospital that is not only a Cart 1 Acute but one of London's 4 major trauma centers. What you are apparently missing is that in order for the body to lose blood, the speed and quantity of which is determined by not only location, but type of wound and severity, is there needs to be some form of penetrating wound and damage to the artery. Many GSW's don't strike, damage or directly hit arteries. Depending on calibre, wound size, strike angle [and many other factors] their is still an advantage/place for use of this type of item in an emetgency trauma kit. How do I know? Well I've used them for that purpose [together with super glue and few other non-standard ad-hoc items] and they have proved to be very effective, regardless of what part of the Century we are in.
@@garyross4602 No, there isn't an advantage. Quality IFAK components are widely available and CHEAP. At least superglue works for what it's meant to do, and there's medical grade variants of the adhesive. Insisting on using tampons in the year of our Lord 2023 is pure stubbornness.
@@ChucksSEADnDEAD Gary is right. Tampons can be useful on the front lines where not all medical equipment might be available at all times. "An arterial bleed can pump out more blood than a human has inside the body in 1-2 minutes." That's right. Even proper medical gear will not help all that much in such situations. You're comparing apples to oranges...
Nobody wants to join the Russian military: Consider the following. 1. Hundreds of thousands have volunteered in Russia to join the military. 2. Ukraine has to chase "volunteers" in the streets, homes, bars, everywhere and force them to join. The average age is 43 years in the Kiev military. Now they've turned to the conscription of women, and soon of kids 16-17 years old. 3. The US military has significantly lowered its admission criteria with regards to both physical and intellectual capabilities, because nobody wants to join. The statement, in order to be more trueful, should be changed into: Nobody wants to join the Ukrainian military. After that, a video could be made showing that fact. And there are tons of videos that could be used for this purpose.

Russia is nothing but a white trash trailer park.

Many people were killed when they returned to their homes as a result of booby traps set by retreating Russian troops.

They also have strong sides, and sadly in our Ukrainian military shitshow also happens, we also fight with obsolete equipment, because we use everything we possibly can. Western help is few and far between, comes always late, allies overpromise and underdeliver, for example we still have a deficit of shells.

You even show a Sherman tank when talking about Russia's "cold-war relics". I'm sure you could find plenty of footage of actual tanks presently in use by Russia in Ukraine. The video was enjoyable and well scripted which is why its even more jarring that it's undermined by irrelevant b-roll. Thanks for the video!
Everything in this video is propaganda without much truth behind it.
@@jamesaritchie1 this, Russia is doing just fine. This chump is probably being paid by the cia to make this anti Russian garbage.
The USSR received 4,000 M4A2 Sherman tanks from the USA at the critical point when Moscow was under attack and critically short on tanks. We do not know if that brief film clip of old tanks in a museum was in Russia, but it is possible. I do agree that some of the film used is badly chosen to illustrate the points being made.
@@jamesaritchie1 So you prefer to believe your propaganda with no facts rather than the facts... huh. Didn't think Russians were that gullible and were just saying it cuz they would get arrested but nevermind.
no food, no explosives, fake weapons, fake armor, fake everything... and they still winning, weird :-)
Well they still Occupying 20% of ukrop land

To be fair, using a tampon on a bullet wound is an easy way to stop (or at least slow) the bleeding.
Granted, the alleged second most powerful military in the world should have a better medical kit than a box of tampons, but still.
Tampons are not as effective for that role as dedicated dressing and gauze from a first aid kit. One would only use tampons if they have nothing else to use.
@@roland228 Might as well shove a dirty sock into the wound if you didn't eat it already 😂
No, it's not an effective tool to stop bleeding. Stop talking out of your rear.
Its not bad way to do it, yea.
Whatever can keep you breathing longer is good, but c'mon, we have better stuff than this nowdays
Why is Putins face keep getting puffier 😊 every time he's on TV? Could it be overuse of BOTOX ? 😅 . Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦

Non-fictional stories about which it is impossible to remain silent!!!
>During WWII Russian civilians were made into soldiers and told if they did not fight they would be executed by their own forces, their artillery attempts often bombed their own positions. The perception of a competent military back then was just as critical then as it is now.
How stupid one must be to actually believe that?

So how bad does Ukraine have to be that they cant beat a bunch of convicts and drunks?
Yes throw away the packaging an its just a pad to do what you need it to soak up. Its clever
Nobody wants to join the Russian military:
Consider the following.
I have no doubt that their nuclear equipment is in the same state of disrepair.
As a American I hope so
The number of russian bots in the comments section is too damn high.
Those explosives replaced by wooden blocks, is more a case of theft, I think.. Could have happened years ago without anyone realizing.
Possibly, but a lot of these oligarchs that own these manufacturing plants have been conveniently falling out of windows and committing "suicide".
@@thechunkylovemuffin Did they shoot themselves 5 times to back of the head with hands tied too? Indeed "suicide", case closed.
I remember when we outphased the LAW72 to get the AT4. They were sold to other NATO countries.. But some clever idiot swapt some of the live ones for some that was allready used and emty.. He was arrested after he tried to sell it to a Bikergang. Another time a bunch of C8 carbines was stolen from an army depot. They tried to sell it to gang members
The "tanks" mentioned at 2:29 are in fact 2S19 Msta 152mm self propelled Howitzers. These vehicles wouldn't be fitted with Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA).
