Just happened to be rereading The Flood so this is really cool to see! Props to the creator. I’m definitely interested to give it a try when its done. My initial thoughts is that the marines aren’t that interesting to fight against at the moment. A disadvantage they have is not having the unique behaviours of the Covenant races that make them so distinct. The marines do have unique weapons with different effective ranges though. So experimenting with sight lines, positions of cover for the AI and player, differences in elevation etc could help in making the combat more interesting. Anyway hope to see more of Zuka and his sidekick!

Very cool video! When I read the Flood, I never thought I'd see mods adapting Zuka's story 15 years later. A minor point, I don't think Zuka played any part in capturing Keyes in the book, though I know liberties have to be taken. Can't wait to see more.
With AI voice generation these days, these sorts of mods could be made really immersive and sophisticated. We know that the Elites are just Johnson's voice inverted and with effects applied, so just make voice lines with Johnson's pitch, or use Keith Elliot's from Halo 2's arbiter, and find out how to apply some filters to get the desired effect. And with Keyes or the Marines, just mimic their voices directly.
This mod looks like it would actually be fun if the Marines didn't have the stupid fucking stun mechanic. Encounters are super easy because all you need to do is stunlock them and they are absolutely helpless. Doesn't make for good gameplay. That is an issue with vanilla CE though, that I see the mod author just didn't know about or missed or forgot or something. Simply removing that would probably make this mod a lot more interesting gameplay wise.
