Fantastic work. Really captured the magic of the second level on a tiny format with tiny memory and limitations, that level was expertly crafted, I would of LOVED a game like this during car rides when I couldn't get my real HALO fix, this is that bite sized 30 seconds of fun transported to 8bit format, I fucking love what you did with the level design, the vehicles, the enemies, and the sniping sections. I could just imagine the amazing halo GB games we could of had if halo went to Nintendo.. But how neutered it would of become also so I'm glad it went where it was supposed to. The Xbox. This game though, I'd love to see more levels!
This is great. I love all of the little subtleties. Bumping into things, not knowing what to do, friendly fire. It's one of my favorite demakes that I've seen. Edit: Also, the sniper rifle section being kinda sucky was a nice touch 👌
I have a memory of walking around Walmart when I was young and they still had a game section with guidebooks and I saw in an end cap glass case they used to have, a handful of game cases for the ds “Halo DS” or “Halo: Combat Devolved”, my father said not today that they’d be around for a while, maybe next time. I went to read a pokemon platinum guidebook after that and since then I never saw it again.
I looked everywhere on the internet for information on it, they almost did make a Halo for the DS, but there were complications between Microsoft and Nintendo.
So creative. 3 things would like to see: walking sideways to shoot, limited ammo, and places to take cover. Not crazy about the “you died” screen but it’s not bad. Overall excellent game!
Strafing while shooting is a feature of the Assault Rifle it seems. Magnum seems to only shoot forward. I can imagine a Battle Rifle shooting diagonally only or something.

Probably technical limitations and or was trying to make it a lot closer to what a Gameboy color was actually capable of and I don't believe it was capable of doing something of that sort.
@@sinisterisrandom8537 uh you could just make it so when you touch enemies they die even the first Mario had that.
While I was watching this video. YT adds purposed me view from top games... amazing work ! All my childhood love resumed in one gameboy video
Wouldn't have been better to have match up with how Megaman is done?
Oh my God I've never loved that anything more than that lil tiny warthog
This is great. I love all of the little subtleties. Bumping into things, not knowing what to do, friendly fire. It's one of my favorite demakes that I've seen.
Edit: Also, the sniper rifle section being kinda sucky was a nice touch 👌
I just want to have the entire ost done in this style in a Playlist for work hahaha
Me toooo!!! me too, me too. that is an awesome idea 😮
So well done. Fantastic job bro.
I like how the cliffs are made to resemble the hexagonal pillars from Halo Infinite.
This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Great job!
Looks more fun than the actual game
Man I didn't know that Space Spartans from the Intellivision had a sequel
This is awesome! Very well done. Congrats and thank you for posting!
This is awesome. It would be cool to see the rest of the levels but this is amazing on its own
Launched and playing in the background! This shit is so LIT! I didn’t know I needed this is my life, but I’m locked in for it!
I love how aggressive the pistol sound is for such a little sprite
I have a memory of walking around Walmart when I was young and they still had a game section with guidebooks and I saw in an end cap glass case they used to have, a handful of game cases for the ds “Halo DS” or “Halo: Combat Devolved”, my father said not today that they’d be around for a while, maybe next time. I went to read a pokemon platinum guidebook after that and since then I never saw it again.
I looked everywhere on the internet for information on it, they almost did make a Halo for the DS, but there were complications between Microsoft and Nintendo.
This is so mother freaking cool I love it time to download it and play it on my Gameboy
This is absolutely amazing man. Hell yea. 👍
Honestly, i clicked the video expecting a soundfont video for the theme or a song from it, but honestly, what i got was a whole lot better.
Me: Oh, this is cute, oh wow he did the whole first section… wait… 20 minutes! You mad lad did the whole thing. Each section kept going harder and harder. That midi music was killer.
This is so charming, love the spritework and the Halo theme rendition!
I am 28 seconds in and i am throwing a like in just out of respect for how much work went into this
God, there's so much love put into this, little details that would go unnoticed if you never played the game. Great stuff. I wish the og Bungie devs would comment on this and see what they think about it.
...Now I want to see what Halo ODST would look, play and sound like.
