the best thing about cursed Halo is how they'll introduce genuinely cool shit like moveset upgrades that i desperately want in the main games, and then follow it up with the dumbest shit you've ever seen in your life
honestly I'm not sure which of those I enjoyed more
Cursed Halo is the first time in a long time I've seen a truly, nonsensically varied arena shooter sandbox, and it's precisely because of the unhinged approach to feature ideation. "Sure, that's funny" is, as it turns out, a really good way to make weapons that are truly unique, and not just 8 rifle reskins with slightly different TTKs; it's a strategy that I very much want to see more often used, because even Infinite with its decently original sandbox still felt like it followed some very rigid design cues.
@@LepidoliteMica its why i love Mythic Jacqui's mods too; dude just thinks of cool shit and adds it to the game, like the Ma5k and crouch removing bloom.
Same with Firefight Evolved; that Sword Elite variant with the dome shield on his back to force you to fight at close range is GENIUS enemy design.
Halo is more fun when you don't have a stick up your ass about "honoring the legacy" or whatever snobby drivel video essayists come up with. Just make it cool and fun.

i am one of a few people who have completed cursed halo legendary (and the hunter survival mode) and it was the most miserable experience i have ever had in halo
8bit plasma rifle my beloved, and minecraft potions were crucial in just skipping sections outright, the blunderbuss also came in useful a handful of times

Just so you know, if you played the Library on any other difficulty than legendary Johnson would come with a tiny warthog and you can ride with him the whole level. It's actually kinda cool. You did also skip a section on assault on the control room where Johnson quite literally skips an entire section for you.

If you hold either shoot or Reload (I dont remember which one) and you throw the backwards magnum, it makes it a really good weapon

bro the blunderbus is the best gun outside of the scarab gun you just need to be up close when you fire it and it either kills them or sends them absolutely sailing into the sunset and no longer a problem, plus its a great travelling tool long as you dont fuck it up and aim too low
also johnson joins you on library long as its not legendary and he has great dialogue

Cursed Halo reminds me of that one Black Mesa mod called Crack Mesa.
The laggy sniper is a lot better if you fire 4 shots at a time and set up a firing squad type thing.

I've heard some of your opinions on Halo CE and you say it's one of the most balanced sandboxes in the franchise if not in gaming (at least in reference to the story mode from the video I heard that from) so I was curious about your opinion on Ruby's Rebalanced Halo CE mod? I've been playing through it and absolutely LOVE the mod and on the off chance you read this I wanted to hear your take on it :)
