Vents are not required to grade upward. They can be level. At least in the Uniform Plumbing Code

This video is really great. Plumbing Diagrams of Building systems is really important. Only A professional and certified plumber have this kind of knowledge. Thanks for this video.
Well, in Australia it's more likely the average plumber would know how to install the hardware, but not necessarily why. An engineer specialising in reticulating hydraulic services would have the additional knowledge about siphons and condensates.
