In this video from our Building Systems Exam prep course, Mike Newman discusses the concepts behind Riser Diagrams and how they relate to the Building Systems Exam. The point of a Riser Diagram is to separate out plumbing systems to make them complex. As Mike points out, they are not necessarily to scale, but rather a representation useful for marking up and laying out when you need to break down things like pricing and relationships with other building systems. Mike will go further into this concept of Riser Diagrams and offer his unique insight into not only the thought process behind the Riser Diagrams, but what you need to understand about this concept when taking the exam.

excellent info discussing the vstr pipe for sanitary layout, gv ( gate valve & glove valve ) for waterline.
just a additional it will be better if you put a cistern tank after the water meter since you put a pump.
i hope you can discuss the standpipe either dry or combination.

Riser diagrams are used all the way through construction documents to relay (diagrammatically) how water is supplied to the building and also how it leaves the building as waste. Both code reviewers and plumbers will use these.

Please do not say "hot water heater" because hot water does not need to be heated. :-)

Yes it can, it can always be heated to a higher temperature. It also refers to the hot water that needs to be recirculated back into the heater to be reheated to maintain its temperature
