Please, respected professor, we ask you to translate your beautiful programs into Arabic for the benefit of many interested followers, and thank you very much ,F , F ,J .
We have a painting of Geisha girls, painted on cork, which we purchased for $300 in 1975. The cork, which is framed behind glass, is a bit wavy. How can I find out if it is valuable? Enjoyed learning from your video, thank you.
If you don't even know who painted it, why did you pay $300 in 1975? Look up the artist and likely only Japanese art appraiser who's seen thousands of the artist's works can tell if genuine. If it's an artist no one cared to forge, then likely it's similar to the $5 geisha paintings at yard sales.
That is not a Chinese vase at all, the style of the paints and the shape is very Japanese, also Japanese will also use Chinese character marker on the bottom that says made in Japan
Can I email you a piece of Y.T HAND DECORATED PORCELAIN. MADE IN HONG KONG ITS LIGHT YELLOW WITH A ORIENTAL MAN IN CENTER OF SMALL SAUCER ITS SIGNED LUY AND IT LOOKS LIKE BUEUT OR BUELLET NOT SURE

I recall her up here
What about if it's framed where you can't access to view the signature without ruining the frame?
How can I call you to get a few items appraised?
Thanks you
That not Chinese vase it is Japanese that always confusing collectors….
Just enough information to launch an army of know nothings.
absolutely agree.
Does crazing on the piece devalue it?
The vase shown was made with a crackle glaze as part of its decoration. If something like dishes have crazing, it does devalue those items.
