You are given three feet on each side to avoid a tag as soon as it is attempted. As soon as the tag is no longer being attempted. The runner no longer has any restrictions until another tag is attempted.
toddthagodd, You can't be sure from this video. But if he did not touch third, it is up to the defense to appeal. Absent an appeal, the runner is safe.
@@ryanaltfillisch7155 I think he means before that. At 2:35 you can clearly see he tags him at the thigh (you can see it from the pants' folds), then at 2:36 he tags him again around the calf and loses the ball
@@p337maB I know what he meant. The tag attempt doesn't end the second the runner is tagged, so whether he lost it on the first touch from the thigh or the second on the calf, it was still lost during the tag attempt.
Josh Harrison is the Master of the swim move/juking the tags
0:20 was insane watching it live
How he didn’t break his arm is amazing
When you used to be the king of the tags as a kid
Not enough baez
Bogearts had one
who would've thought the red sox big ol' catcher would have one of the best avoided tags?
Yea baez has a lot of those
since when is Bogaerts a catcher
So pretty much josh Harrison montage
What's up SV, you should do a video on super late swings !
I love this video and still waiting for the 9- pitch innings and lead off homeruns.
They need to hard draw the base lines... So many of these are WAY outside...

Maybe 3 1/2 feet. But definitely NOT “way outside”

Two or three of them were off the baseline, that is clearly an out, how the umpires missed that, seriously
If you are unsure on how many there are, how can you judge?
0:04 i was at this game!!! when in the history of this bullshit does chris coglan avoid that tag??!!
the first one the guy didn’t touch third

You must be a Blue Jays fan
@1:56 I’m more interested in this throw lol
Josh Harrison is to not tags what Javy Baez is to tags.
Every swim move would be foiled if they just held their glove on the bag and didn't try to tag their arms as they slide.
Hello!! 🤗
1:49
0:14 the dude just completely dis regards 3rd base and looks straight at it like wtf lol. that run shouldnt of counted
You obviously didn’t watch it live where they show both angles 🙃
He didn't get taged at 2:36 at his thigh???
He did, but the catcher lost the ball on the tag.
