NΞWDORIΛ If you have a chance, go to Wrigley Field in Chicago or Fenway Park in Boston. They're the last 2 jewel-box MLB stadiums in existence. I was fortunate enough to see my first game at Wrigley in 2016, and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the stadium tour if you decide to make a trip of it.
Jetmech0417 so isn't soccer... I love baseball but its 4 hours long in a generation that needs less time. Not to mention it is so specialized with the pitchers throwing so hard and the batters all going for the fences ends up with little action all though explosive action when there is but it isn't enough to carry that much time
My team won a championship ship when I was 16 when our 2nd baseman did exactly that. A half second of not paying attention and we beat the other team. I'll never forget it.
I actually watched that play live on TV. I was mad that the pitcher gave him something to hit even though he intended to intentionally walk Miguel Cabrera. Looking back at it now, he is one of the wisest ballplayers today.
The hidden ball trick is the oldest one in the book. I also remember we used to to do rundown drills which we used to call getting caught in the pickle
I love that baseball is also track and tag games in one. We actually have a Filipino version of baseball where we use a slipper instead of a ball and kick it out to field
@3:00 The infield fly rule should prevent this. It's not fair to the first base runner. If he runs and Kinsler catches it, he and the batter will get doubled up, and if he doesn't run and Kinsler drops it, the same will happen. He'll obviously get thrown out at second, and in practice, since he never left first, the batter probably would've gone toward the dugout by then, so an easy DP.
Safeer Naqvi i might be wrong here but I know they recently changed a bunch of rules to make the games finish faster. So maybe instead of wasting time with the 4 pitches they can just say "take the base" and save the time of the 4 pitches. I'm lazy so I'm not going to verify this. Just my assumption lol.
This rule was supposedly made to speed up the game, but it's hardly made a difference in that regard. Most of the wasted time seems to be during replay reviews and pitchers with sloth like pacing. But if we have to have the new walk rules, I think there should be one change to them: the only time a batter can be sent to first without a pitch being thrown is at the beginning of the at bat, if a single pitch is thrown, then you have to do it the old fashioned way.
Si habia alguien que frustraba bateadores y muchas veces les partia el bate con el cutter tanto asi que le hicieron una simbolica el señor Rivera faltaba pero el no necesita mas reconocimiento porque tiene el mas grande de los reconocimientos Unanimus
5:53 was actually out. His hand hit the bag, then came off. The 1st baseman had his hand on the base while the runners hand slid off then foot ended up on the bag. Not trying to be technical but I would have called it an out. Slow the speed down to .25x 🤔
Well the runner beat him to the base. Once he touched it was no longer a force out at that point. so even though his hand slid off, the first baseman would have had to tag the runner for it to be an out.
He was safe as soon as he touched the bag. It’s no different than running through first base. He couldn’t have been tagged out either as he didn’t make an attempt to advance to 2nd.
But at 1st base it’s just a race to the bag. Even when you slide into it there’s no requirement to remain in contact as long as you don’t make a move to second.
These are smart plays but I feel like in the moment I would get angry if some of these happened to me. I make it to a base only to get tagged out when I adjust my footing after "seeing" the ball thrown away? It's like, can't a dude catch his breath for the few seconds between being safe and waiting for the next batter? I know you're supposed to stay alert but come on, it seems pretty easy to hide the ball as well as lose where the ball is. Still not as bad as an intentional walk, though! Again strategy yada yada and kind of a compliment because they're saying "I think you're better at hitting then I am at pitching" but still in my mind it's like, oh you practice for your entire career to get good at this game? Well you don't get to play it, you don't even get to try. Like you get all hyped up for the big game, get to your at bat and you don't even get a chance to swing? Idk man. Not a sports person myself, just love watching. Just seems like using the rules to your advantage. Maybe I'm just imagining that video where the gut gets intentionally walked at his last at bat before retirement. Like bro ya can't let him have just that? Like come on.
Henk Oosterink I dunno. The situation changes with every pitch. Even when the batter keeps fouling them off to protect the plate, it becomes a battle of wills, not to mention increasing the pitch count, wearing down the pitcher I find baseball intriguing.
Technically, those that ran out of the baseline are OUT. I wish that was a run they would enforce because you can't get away with it anywhere else (that I know of). Just doesn't seem fair. Nevertheless, these WERE some cool plays, especially the fake throws & hidden ball techniques.
You forgot the Robinson Cano one. I did it in highschool and made the varsity short stop look like a fool. If someone hits a ground ball. Stand in front of the field man. Dance and block his sight on the ball. I advanced to 3rd while the ball went in between his legs. Not only does is save your boy at bat , but 6/10 times you’ll advance to the next base
I worked on Josh Harrison's house as an electrician, he has a basketball court in his basement with a batting net hanging from the ceiling so he can have batting practice at his house.
Damn I'm in love with this game... so unfortunate that it isn't popular here in Germany. I hope I get to see a game live at the stadium someday.

Except for the fact that every single compilation has the Helton-Carpenter play in it, and it's been seen hundreds of thousands of times.
Yes it dos
I will never get tired of the dude hitting the intentional walk..
That’s Miguel Cabrera a former Marlin who plays for the Tigers
I actually watched that play live on TV. I was mad that the pitcher gave him something to hit even though he intended to intentionally walk Miguel Cabrera. Looking back at it now, he is one of the wisest ballplayers today.
Pena looking like a kid, just coming down Christmas morning, off that bunt. I love.

3:59 The best 🤣 love the catches ump call
Most important lesson I learned playing ball, never take your eye off the ball
and never take your foot off the base, unless you *KNOW FOR A FACT* the play is dead.

There is some cool plays on here thanx Baseball Sports!

Even as a Cardinal’s fan, I give a slow clap to the hidden ball trick used on Matt Holliday.

Congratulations with this sport, make happy to families

As a braves fan I hated sharing a division with Fernandez because he was a pain in the ass to play against but damn do I miss him
Dammm!!!😤😤😤😤 got addicted to watch this game vedios only at once.. 👌👌👌 just watched it in doraemon before..😂😂

Smart play by the A`s with Bench but that ball was still outside.

bruh when the guy thought he hit foul then the guy walks up to him to tag him LOL.

Still remember when Chuck Knoblauck (Twins) made a "throw" in a World Series game that spooked a base runner. He didn't have the ball.
the ninja @ 3:11 is so excited about that strikeout

Surprising amount of Rockies plays lol
5:52 How the batter got to first! Unbelievable!
Great job with nail biting compilation
1:01
Cabrera: casually swings at bad pitch and hits to middle of outfield.
Me: gets pitch right down the middle and dribbles it to third
tada_ Panda that was an intentional walk not just a bad pitch
"Swisher's gonna be out!" how many times have I heard that.....

True, but how many shots in this video show players running inside the diamond and NOT being called out.
@@stewartdavey1849 The base path for a runner only exists when a tag is attempted, otherwise he may run wherever he wishes.
