      If you have a chance, go to Wrigley Field in Chicago or Fenway Park in Boston. They're the last 2 jewel-box MLB stadiums in existence.
      I was fortunate enough to see my first game at Wrigley in 2016, and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the stadium tour if you decide to make a trip of it.

      Jetmech0417 so isn't soccer... I love baseball but its 4 hours long in a generation that needs less time. Not to mention it is so specialized with the pitchers throwing so hard and the batters all going for the fences ends up with little action all though explosive action when there is but it isn't enough to carry that much time

    @3:00 The infield fly rule should prevent this. It's not fair to the first base runner. If he runs and Kinsler catches it, he and the batter will get doubled up, and if he doesn't run and Kinsler drops it, the same will happen. He'll obviously get thrown out at second, and in practice, since he never left first, the batter probably would've gone toward the dugout by then, so an easy DP.

      Safeer Naqvi i might be wrong here but I know they recently changed a bunch of rules to make the games finish faster. So maybe instead of wasting time with the 4 pitches they can just say "take the base" and save the time of the 4 pitches. I'm lazy so I'm not going to verify this. Just my assumption lol.

    • @KemperJames
      @KemperJames 6 лет назад +20

      This rule was supposedly made to speed up the game, but it's hardly made a difference in that regard. Most of the wasted time seems to be during replay reviews and pitchers with sloth like pacing.
      But if we have to have the new walk rules, I think there should be one change to them: the only time a batter can be sent to first without a pitch being thrown is at the beginning of the at bat, if a single pitch is thrown, then you have to do it the old fashioned way.

    5:53 was actually out. His hand hit the bag, then came off. The 1st baseman had his hand on the base while the runners hand slid off then foot ended up on the bag. Not trying to be technical but I would have called it an out. Slow the speed down to .25x 🤔

    • @PSNTanmanTW
      @PSNTanmanTW 6 лет назад

      Well the runner beat him to the base. Once he touched it was no longer a force out at that point. so even though his hand slid off, the first baseman would have had to tag the runner for it to be an out.

    • @Malincanada

  • @sunburstisland2560
    @sunburstisland2560 3 года назад

    These are smart plays but I feel like in the moment I would get angry if some of these happened to me. I make it to a base only to get tagged out when I adjust my footing after "seeing" the ball thrown away? It's like, can't a dude catch his breath for the few seconds between being safe and waiting for the next batter? I know you're supposed to stay alert but come on, it seems pretty easy to hide the ball as well as lose where the ball is. Still not as bad as an intentional walk, though! Again strategy yada yada and kind of a compliment because they're saying "I think you're better at hitting then I am at pitching" but still in my mind it's like, oh you practice for your entire career to get good at this game? Well you don't get to play it, you don't even get to try. Like you get all hyped up for the big game, get to your at bat and you don't even get a chance to swing?
    Idk man. Not a sports person myself, just love watching. Just seems like using the rules to your advantage. Maybe I'm just imagining that video where the gut gets intentionally walked at his last at bat before retirement. Like bro ya can't let him have just that? Like come on.
