1. Show some magic
Walt attended the new Park School of Marceline in fall, 1909.
2. Invest in knowledge
He became the cartoonist for the school newspaper, drawing patriotic topics on World War I.
3. Diversify
In January 1920, Disney and Iwerks formed a short-lived company called "Iwerks-Disney Commercial Artists".
4. Know your goals
He became interested in animation and decided to become an animator.
5. Try it on small scale first
He eventually decided to open his own animation business starting Laugh-O-Grams.
6. Experiment
Disney's cartoons became widely popular in the Kansas City area.
7. Help your community
Unable to successfully manage money, Disney's studio became loaded with debt and wound up bankrupt.
8. Go with your feeling
Disney and his brother Roy pooled their money and set up a cartoon studio in Hollywood.
9. Daydream
He and his staff created numerous famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy.
10. Have a sense of humor

I've been waiting for this video! Walt Disney is one of my biggest inspirations and influences. I never got a chance to meet him because he died when I was just a very small child, but I've gotten to know many of the people who worked directly for Walt and have learned through them what made Walt tick.
So many of Walt Disney's Top 10 Rules mean so much to me, but I think the two that really hit home are "Daydream" and "Go With Your Feeling". Many of Walt's greatest achievements were born out of daydreams. He made an art form out of the "what if" and changed the world through it. And when it comes to "Go With Your Feeling", this was Walt's secret weapon. Unlike studio heads today that can't seem to make a move without a buh-zillion market test and analysis reports, Walt had an amazing intuition about what audiences wanted.
What I most admire about Walt Disney as an entrepreneur, businessman, and creator is that he never let anything or anyone keep him down. He took every bit of negative criticism and ridicule and used that energy to fuel his passion and beliefs. It was just more coal in the fire to keep his engine going. If someone told Walt Disney he couldn't do something he set about to prove them wrong. All throughout his career, people tried to discourage and discount Walt and he would consistently confound and surprise them with his success. My all-time favorite Walt Disney quote sums up the man beautifully. He once said, "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." I try to live by that exact same motto.

Love this one! I was in CA for a medical convention. I decided to head to Disneyland for some evening fun by myself. As I was walking in a lady handed me a free ticket in. Their company had a convention there and paid for everyone's ticket. I'm not sure if I can say the name but it was a huge company. That was so cool! I think my favorite is 'show some manic" you don't see that very often. My favorite mentor, besides you is John Denver. I live through his music and belief for life. Thanks Evan!

Sometimes everyone gets so wrapped up in a personal brand that they forget that most people forget that a personal brand is bringing yourself to the brand. I really connected with how Walt built his brand around parts of who he was - a daydreamer, a funny man, and a man who believed in a magic and imagination. This really stuck with me because sometimes I get so wrapped up in an idea and the fine details, I forget to bring myself and what I believe to the brand which is what actually makes it strong and what made Disney such a success. He followed his heart, his dreams, and his beliefs.

Finding solutions to problems in cities is to turn everyone into artists. Invest in education. I plan to build a small funfair. Put my bro inlaw in my fish and chip shop to manage it as he has a face like a battered fish , pay him £800pw a proper managers salary. I plan on opening a cartoon production company called Rogers graphic design ink. I am the best traditional graphic designer there is , ever was and ever will be , so my next step is animation. I'll need colourists as im not a painter , but i will become the best line work artist ever. Better than Walt Disney.

#BTA2. Help your community and go with your feeling. I spent 15 years working under Walt's ideas in WDW. I was privileged to have seen many of these videos as a child, then again throughout my career there (1983-2000). These ideals shaped me into who I am and how I work today. Great Top 10!
