  • In this video, we discuss how to move geometry to a new coordinate system so that parts modeled in the component coordinate system can be updated to the assembly absolute coordinate system.

@@Saratechinc i'll try to think about it. But right now i'd say : some methodologic recommendations about top-down modeling approach. What to avoid, what to rather do to keep things easy on a growing project. Organizing sketches and models, how is it prefered to link them with WAVE, and so on.

Very clear and usable for how to move the geometry relative to the coordinate system. My typical workflow is to build parts, typically using the WCS location, then assemble them in the assembly part.
I am curious to what the advantage is over assembly constraints?
Your NX electrical routing video was quite helpful for me. Yours is one of only a few useful routing videos that I've found. A series on routing would be great :-)

    Why not to use Constraints?

Hi, I am using NX11 and I tried to move a component to the origin of the assy, but I can not use csys to csys move tool because I can not visualize the coordinate systems of the components in the assembly. (In my case I can neither use constraints nor modifiy the position of the part internally ).
So I tried to set the fully loaded option in the main menu, but it doesn't work... I may do something wrong, please help!
    Thank you in advance.
