    As an Air Cadet back in the day I went on camp at RAF Waddinton, we ate like royalty. The variety and standard of the food was like eating in a 5 star restaurant. Then when I joined the army reserves, we got cheap sausages, chips and beans... definitely chose the wrong branch 😂

    Good job the Air Force are running the catering training. Went to many defence establishments over the years, the food in the Air Force messes and DFacs was hands down streets ahead.

    I wouldn't say they're the first in. I'm sure the SAS, Paras and Marines might get there a little before them.

      Urbex _ Brxndan do you have to pass phase 1 basic training to then become a chef?

      ZonkedSquire64 _ Basic training then specialist training that lasts around 17 weeks.

    The Army need to change their food menu, same old boring British food get chef in from different background with different food from their culture. In the kitchen

    Has any1 seen any c130 type aircraft lately in the UK am from liverpool an I think I saw a Hercules a few weeks ago and last summer I saw about 5

      They are still based at RAF Brize Norton, only the C130J remains in service, the C130K has now been withdrawn from service

    What’s the upper age limit for the RAF reserves? Some of those students are long in the tooth...
