I bought a zpacks wallet for my first trip on the AT in 2017. As soon as I got back home, I discarded my old wallet and still use the zpack as my daily wallet.

Wow! That´s unexpectedly good news. Julie and Baskets back on the AT 2021. I´m really exited for new adventures - for us and both of you. Bringing an ubrella to rainy thruhikes will make a big, big, very big difference. Being a little bit wet or being soaked thru, feeling ok or miserable - choice is clear.

    Nice kit.
I would look into getting a Toaks 550ml UL pot and BRS3000T stove to save a couple of oz for 55 USD. It almost closes with a 100ml canister, Lightload towel and small BIC. Enough so a rubber band holds it together easily.

I sooo agree about shelters when traveling w some one !!
So many possibilities that would leave you stuck without a shelter and the other person has it and you have none same way with stove at least some Esbit cubes anything that you can boil water with so you can drink.
Those two are life savers. Hopefully you're carrying your own food and sleep ing bag ?!!! Or SOME food 😋🤗
Sounds like fun 😜 I'm glad you are doing it ☺️

Some ponchos double as tarps. I saw two different versions on amazon, one that uses a trekking pole setup similar to your tarp, and one that can be used similarly to the sea to summit 2p tent as a shelter or also as a floor blanket or as sun/rain protection if bound to trees.

Then you can look into the NU25 head lamp from Nitecore as well.

@@baskets8429 Yea, well that just means you can try to go for 10 times right ;) double digits!!!
Thanks, some of these National Scenic Trails are logistically "weird" to hike as a thru-hike but hopefully the infrastructure continues to grow if they see more and more thru-hikers out there. I am excited to watch you and Julie cruise on down the AT again, at this point you must know all the best campsites?! That is really cool, havent had that experience yet doing a trail a 2nd time, but I can assume it is unique in getting to feel the feelings from the past hike as well as know the areas you are coming thru and seeing them different while also the same.

Ice Bear did a video about it and the Heatsheet Emergency blanket. You will be glad that you have the stove on a cold rainy day. Are we going to see NOPE? Good Luck, Rick
