This marks the end of an era boys and girls. This is one of the last old school smash mouth football players. I remember when him and Tony started their careers because it was the same year my daughter was born. Today 15 yrs later I cant believe he will no longer be on field with my Boyz. My heart sank this morning when I read he was hanging up the cleats. What hurts the most is he never made it to the tournament. Either way Jason Witten is tha GOAT in my book.

With him back in the league now, this speech feels more like a bad dream and I’m so happy for that. One of the best tight ends of all time is back in the game, let’s get Witten the ring he deserves.

this sport lost a great one, I remember meeting him outside of the practice facility as I was decked out in eagles gear (family are Cowboy fans) and he was a really nice guy. Weird to think that was more than 10 years ago.

Thank you Jason!! U have been my favorite player since ur rookie season. I’ve been a Dallas fan since I was little. Always a professional on and off the field. I played tight end when I played football from 8-18 I watched a lot of tape on Jason Witten always trying to be a good tight end. You will always be one of my favorites. Thank you so much for everything u gave to the team and the fans. U can’t replace a player like Witten
