    Nothing like these old Toyotas being restored. Take this over any new truck.

      I can't count how many times random people/coworkers have commented, saying "why don't you have a nicer truck...." (Everyone that knows me knows I could afford newer) and I always laugh hysterically for multiple reasons. The best is when I pull up to the gas pump next to them in my 1992 Toyota SR5 4x4 diesel swapped, hood stacked but minty clean daily driver .... and strangers literally come and ask me if they can take pics and comment on it.
      They drive home and realize, that shiny new truck, with its shiny new $1k++ note and their upside down decision may not have been such a great idea 😂

      @jonathonreborn2724 I totally understand, peak vehicle production was 1980 - 2000
      I have 2 nissan d21s, 1 hardbody and 1 hardbody wagon (terrano, patherfinder)
      I'm in love with them, reliable, simple, so much fun off road and so many people don't understand me 😂

    I'm in the process of rebuilding the exact same truck. Could you start putting part links under your videos? I'm interested in the headlights bezel/housings and the tail light lenses? Where did you get them? I'm finding them online but not sure on the trustworthiness of the sellers.

    I'm having the same issue with the clutch fork. How did you fix it so it sits properly?

      They have 2 clips that hold it in properly one fell off when I had the transmission out then I reinstalled it but saw the clip on the floor so I pulled it aging and put the clip in and that was it

    Not really a HiLux, just a Toyota factory 4WD pickup ? I don’t know if there is any actual difference, but that’s what they were called in North America.

      @@oohsam for sure. They were just called “Toyota truck” in North America until the Tundra came out. Then toyota began calling them “Tacoma”. I had an ‘87 with a 7’ bed. It was a good one. Valves ruined by bad gas in ‘08😾

      I think 1995 is the first year of Tacoma and the rest before were all just Toyota pickup
