I love this song, i know people say that "artists shouldn't get involved in politics" but when it comes to war we should all be against it and this is what WT is aying with this video, nothing good comes from war.
I love them but I wonder why besides all wars that were happening and still happen this one is the only to be talked about. Western media doesn't show right way what is happeing eg. Syria couple of years ago.idk if anyone sang in support. Nato forces and america including western european countries were highly included in "bringing peace and democracy" to those fuels, mines and gasoline rich countries... And soo on .. So in the end it is a bit hypocritical, thats why I personally think they shouldn't be singing openly about such topics .
This is one of their best songs to date. Definitely their darkest lyrics to date and man it hits

i could be wrong but what i understand from the animation is...the country was at his best...then starting a war which took for generations and over time reduce the morale of soldiers and and their family...the more they advance more draining their resources and down to ruin...more death-more blood more destruction...it never ends till only kids left to fight and no one left to teach them or tell them about the war.
different batches and different uniform means so many other countries caught up into it and for nothing only death and ruin which is what war is.

When I stumbled onto this I thought I don't remember this must be new. The last album seemed like they were trying to sound like any generic band, like trying to be something else to fit a more mainstream rock or light metal audience.
Then I hear this and it captured the elements that makes it sound like Within Temptation. Made me question if this was new or old, but ultimately if it was an older track I would've liked this long ago so it was a moment of rejoice as WT is a actually back
If the album your referring to is Resist then i don't have a clue what you mean by "trying to sound like any generic band". Resist is overall the heaviest album they have released musically and quite dark in its themes too, amazingly they've managed to make Bleed Out even darker, but not as quite as heavy musically.
On a final note, Resist is regarded by Sharon den Adel as one of her favourites of her own albums along with Mother Earth.

This is down there with some of the most low-effort reaction "content" there is. I've watched several of your videos now, and I haven't heard a single music theory term or anything even resembling an analysis.

Great song but terrible video. Too heavy to watch comparing it to it's resemblance to today's war in Ukraine. I listen to music as a form of escape from heavy world politics.
I don't like it when musicians get involved in politics and also become means of propaganda. With this clip and song, a complete circus came out. Why they got into all this is unclear. 👎

With all due respect, but music has always been interwoven with politics. And how is this propaganda exactly? Just because it is expressing an opinion you do not like does not make it propaganda, it does not work like that.
@@Bartjo32 You probably know that Sharon has been waving the Ukrainian flag on tour over the last year, right? We turn on the clip, what do we see? the first minute - solid shots about Russia. And even despite the fact that soldiers from different countries will be shown further, it is still clearly clear where the accents are placed here. Don't forget about the flag at concerts 👌
@@wildhoney126yes, Sharon and the band's opinion is that Russia is in the wrong in this conflict. Still does not make it propaganda. Honestly can't see how you could look at it differently then what they are expressing here. No one wins in this conflict.

@@Werwolf10 What is there to understand? One country invaded another twice, theyve committed countless atrocities and war crimes. Theres not "oh this is just western propoganda"....there arent too many ways you can twist this to justify and rationalize Russias aggression.
