- We bought this under 200$ for planting 400 saplings this year. It was a great piece of equipment for very cheap.
DYRABREST 52cc Gas Powered Earth Auger Post Hole Digger Borer Fence Ground Drill 4inch / 6inch / 8inch Bits. It also came with tools and an extra pulley assembly incase you break a rope.

Got this last Oct 2022 and dug 200+ holes with it. Worked like a charm. Needed to drill more holes for tree planting this fall and see the throttle cable on the trigger has snapped. Easy fix just have to get the correct cable. Currently talking with the manufacturer

I purchased a different auger from Amazon last week, it's supposed to arrive today. However, this video is helpful with giving me an idea of how these things work. Do you think a 135lb woman can operate one? Thanks for your insights and this video. PS; Love the dog's name ;)
So my wife did a few holes, It all depends on how deep and what kind of soil. We have about 9 inches of top soil then clay. We did most holes a foot to 1.5x400. I have went as deep as 3 ft but it does get tough. Make sure you get it going before really pressing down or it may take you for a ride.

did you try this on hard ground with rocks or roots? I want to build a fence and have hard compacted dirt with roots in it and want to see how this would hold up.
Its tough with rocks, atleast tough solo. I put another 60 holes for greenhouse posts recently and got my inner thigh smacked 4 or 5 times. I was going about 3ft deep. Hope this helps.

What's the grease fitting on the side for? Have same as yours but direction said to put gear oil in
I have not added gear oil.... Last weekend we did another 300 holes with it. We are now at about 900 holes for our orchard. Ill look into this.

Are you supposed to put Gear Oil in there also?
No gear oil. Just the fuel mixture gas oil.
Im sure you gotta check the gear box . Should have a screw in top or side. Yeah Id definitely make sure sometimes manufacturers ship units without gear ⚙️ oil
that was so just a measuring tool for the mix... you weren't supposed to mix both in there like that and probably had the mix all wrong
Honestly it took a minute to figure out how the mixer works. Its labeled on each side of the container and instruction of ratio in the manual. I am about 500 holes in with several refills. This spring we will plant another 500 bushes and the auger will be at 1000 holes.
